A bit on Kent: "Kent has been a member of the United States Foreign Service since 1992. He speaks Ukrainian, Russian, and Thai, as well as some Polish, German, and Italian. He has worked as a U.S. Foreign Service officer in Ukraine, Poland, Thailand and Uzbekistan. From 1995 to 1997, he was posted in Warsaw, Poland, as an economics officer dealing with trade, environmental, and counter-narcotics issues. Kent was later assigned to serve as deputy political counselor in Kyiv, Ukraine, from 2004 to 2007, which included the time period of the Orange Revolution . . . . He graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in Russian History & Literature from Harvard University. He then earned a Master of Arts from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in 1992. Kent later graduated with a Master of Science in national resource strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces of the National Defense University in 2012."

The Ohio air national guard is equipped with F16's and A10's along with older Awac's and air to ground radar planes. They train with the 121st global air refueling wing. One of there main missions is to fly to Europe with all planes and equipment and fill any holes. A company in Ohio is selling robot dogs with flamethrowers for clearing yard waste and deicing driveways. Hanger 18 at Wright-Patterson AFB is where the crash from the Roswell incident was taken. Some info on Ohio for the non US folks. Cheers..

Nice work on getting your guest. One thing I would say is “GET DIFFERENT FURNITURE “ !
Those chairs are designed to kick back and watch a video. People naturally sit forward to indicate interest and intent to comment. Those chairs make you sit back unless you work to sit up. They naturally put you in an indifferent position.
I’m no expert. The interview seems to be going well.

Would Ukraine rather have bundles of paper dollar bills or missiles and shells? I get very disturbed by this argument that the money the US appropriates just helps its own economy as much or more than Ukraine. For one thing, many American defense industries are already producing at their capacity and if you want what they make, you must wait years. These companies don't need more work and whether they actually expand or hire additional workers because of the Ukraine aid is variable. But the real point here is that Ukraine needs weapons. It doesn't need cash as much and it couldn't use cash to buy the weapons it needs anywhere but the US so the US aid program is working the only way it can and should in the interest of Ukraine while the US is still spending money it could have used for other purposes.

What a clean cut all American 🇺🇸 guy. He reminds of what people were like in the 1950s, bow tie and all. And a Boy Scout Master! My father had one and he was just like that! Too bad Tucker Carlson gave bow ties a bad name and represents everything that is toxic in ghetto USA 🇺🇸. I suppose that’s part of how he fools people into thinking he represents something that he is not.

21:10 Chekhov was Ukrainian as well, which fact was stated by him countless times in his own letters and diaries. This otherwise perfectly informed and refined diplomat is actually the same victim of Muscovite propaganda as the Muscovites themselves.

  • @davidcraig1714

Ambassador Kent didn't get around to answering the question of whether or not if the US position of support wants Ukraine to achieve victory and reclaim all occupied lands or merely just to survive in its present state. That's the diplomatic stock way to dance around an issue he sees as sensitive.
Regarding Arthur's question of Russian support for the war reminded me of a quote from the late John McCain:
"I have no illusions or worry about the long-term future of Russia. Russia is now a gas station masquerading as a country,” McCain said.
My view is that Russia culture is guided by corruptness and a bereft spiritual foundation. If you want to see their inner mind, all that one must is to look at the actions, or lack of actions. They are zombified. And look at the actions of those who left Russia. Do you see any evidence of a movement to protest Russia's invasion? Their inaction says it all. And furthermore, Russia's past cultural triumphs are simply collecting dust, vastly outweighed by Russia's consummate brutality. The Russia Federation must dissolve at some point to allow their many ethnic constituents to flourish.
When Russia is defeated, it will take several generations to allow Russia to reenter civilization - if in fact they sincerely repent.
