Ghost Recon Wildlands takes Bolivia and turns it on its ear to turn the LANDLOCKED NATION into the Narco fiefdom of choice for our military operation. Which to us, is Bonkers. But hey, its Ubisoft and they do this. Join us for a celebration of coop stupidity in only the ways we can. This whole video just reminds me of that one scene in Generation Kill where one of the Marines asks "Captain America" what he was doing after having mag dumped some random truck on the side of the road, to which the Captain replies, "Denying the enemy."

The one thing I would like them to fix is that damn scope on that musket, either give it iron sights or make it act like all other scopes. Its almost like they had one person design the rifle and another code the animations and neither talked to each other.
It’s literally just a long pipe on top of the gun, which is worse than what the gun could have had during the Civil War (if my belief that it’s based on a Whitworth Rifle is correct) but not by much.

I've shot a suppressed bolt action 22 where the action of cycling the bolt was significantly louder than the shot.

The introduction to the parachute skill and necessity thereof is a traditional Ghost Recon thing. "Did you bring a 'chute?" "No, why?" "Well, here's where we get off!"
Could have been worse, some rude git could have stuck C4 to the helicopter and just randomly bailed out mid flight. I, of course, would never do that. They got wise after the first half dozen times...

I love the musket in this game, it's the third hardest hitting gun, and actually stupidly accurate if you spend enough time figuring it out.
The only other guns that hit harder are the super shorty and el cuentista. Last I checked they could kill an unmanned APC through an unmanned APC in a single shot. The musket can only kill one APC per shot.
Agent Tex was sent to the airport for a Plausible deniability operation in Canada, he picked the wrong plane and ended up in Bolivia. He now refuses to take the heavy, black colored gear despite the scorching sun and the 40ºC heat.
As for 'why Bolivia' I imagine that's where their director of photography went. Much like the reason they picked Nepal/Bhutan/Tibet for Farcry 5, Bolivia is more visually interesting because it has a greater variety of 'biomes' than any other single country (Mountains, tropical forest, highland desert). and the fact there is no obvious conflict there is probably also a boom for them, no need to make a statement on any real thing.
The last *real* entry in Tom Clancy's mainline novel series is "The Bear and the Dragon." Don't bother reading any further than that. After that it jumped the shark due to 9/11 (as Tex noted) and shortly after *that* Clancy died and it was handed off to a whole bunch of different people.
Also, after that intro bit, I can't stop hearing the "Blame Canada" song in the background the entire episode.
Man its so nice to be able to come home after a crazy day at the ranch. some jackass landed his plane in my cow pasture and now half of my herd of ground beef. anyway can't wait to sit back and enjoy this video.

Tom Clancey games taught me the joy of going to custom your first gun and being absolutely horrified that it doesn't all just velcro together.
Shaking the airplane violently side to side until the runway looks straight-ish is indeed what that phrase means.

*looks at 22lr with sub sonic rounds and sparrow can on it* "no tex no I do not use hearing protection?" jokes aside, yes movie silent is very hard to achieve but not impossible. but just slapping a short can on a 308 supersonic sniper rifle and shooting, it still sounds like the sun exploding 10 feet from you, and remember kids if your action is cycling it's like slapping two metal blocks together REALLY hard and that is loud.
Man, understated as it is... I really wish modern 3D games would let us Climb. Like some come up with all this weird stuff to try to add verticality to their games like jet packs or batman grappling lines and all that. Just... let us climb up a rock. Some games do, admittedly. But far too many don't. And it seems awkward every time when I'm playing something like an elite soldier but a 3 foot high rock is just an insurmountable object (literally) before me.
Don't you know, bluing helps accuracy the same way gold plating increases muzzle velocity.
I knew I would like this, and you both did not disappoint.

this was fun to watch
Oh god I remeber the grenade launch in this game, I got so good with it. Once a convoy drove passed me and when I got out of my vehicle and turned to target it, it was already like 150m away and still going. I was able to just eyeball it, launched the grenade at a really high angle, 8 seconds or so later it blew up.
I loved this game! This is gonna be a great series.
I dunno dude. Red dots are nice. I'd want one if my job were using a rifle without saying something like "get out of my house" first. I'd stick a red dot and a flashlight on anything I need two hands to use.

The FAL remains my default battle rifle. Didn't expect I'd be using such an old rifle all the time with so many AR-15 clones in this game.

I hate that the game locked the FAL behind a time limited event that is over now.
Most triple-A games of this generation will only be enjoyable in 30+ years when they are reverse engineered and then distributed on 'GOG' with all their DLC unlocked...

Seeing the trigger group on the bolt action rifle was brain rot. They are just using an AR style trigger group for every weapon it looks like, and it hurts my brain thinking how you would make that work in a Mauser derivative action.

I love this game. I tried for a long time to get friends to play it with me but they weren't interested ;; Collected pretty much everything in the game I think, only have the missions left to do. What was my long range kill record.. 522m. Oh yeah, that's what I stopped playing. Last time I started it up, I realized the game had removed my kill record and other tracked stuff which made me very miffed... Running around with the stealth backpack.
