Wonderful to hear the waves on this video. As a surfer, that sound takes me somewhere else.
Thank you Powerlines and to all the surfers
Mavericks is my dream. I'm 26, started surfing last year.. but i'll make it there at some point (because of videos like this). I'm sure. Keep it up guys :)
Right on man
I went to the Mavericks with my family when I was a kid. It was the most amazing display of nature's power I've ever seen. These guys are all balls to ride these monsters.
Everytime I watch a Mav's video, I watch in amazment as guys drop in on a bomb, and get a pit in my stomach when I see someone get caught inside. I'll never ride any wave like Mav's, and that's okay by me.
Awesome job on the video! Thanks for putting the video out there. Haven't been to Mavericks in a while. Down south now in warmer waters. Pura Vida
Fantastic video ! Very Powerful ! Thank you for sharing Half Moon Bay at Mavericks ! ! !
Yeah, with the sound of waves, wonderful :) I am French and like you in the USA, the situation is difficult! Your video is a breath of fresh air Thanks a lot ;)
You can be cool but not "hi-fiving a friend riding a wave in a huge Mavericks swell" cool
Really good vibe on this video. Authentic. Thanks for sharing a glimpse into this beautiful day.
Awesome! Great job on that ride from 6:00 to 7:00!
I love this video because the camera is close to the water, so we really get to feel the size, power and sound of the waves!
Movin' Heaving Breathing Ocean! Somehow always captured so brilliantly by Powerlines Production!
So awesome to think that Jeff Clark had that place to himself for 10 years. Really enjoyed our conversation about it in Encinitas last year, epic madman across the water!!!
I go every chance I can. To listen to the birds. Too old to surf that. Would like to see those fellas but haven’t figured out how to get the view. It sounds just like the video being there. The buoys. The seagulls. I think I have heard those exact birds. It’s a mazing.
NorCal
Absolutely incredible! Go P-Town & HMB!
Always great footage !! Thanks.. ya hear the thunder? Anyone's ears bend backwards towards the sound of the explosion while running for yer life?
. ?
Woooooo ❤
Too much for me. I’ll stick with the cove 🏄
From a non surfer.....superb!
Cool to see my junior guards instructor out there charging. Yeah Hunter!
BC Bob charging means that someone is CHARGING for big waves
Nice video. I have dreams of swells like that.
Rad. Thanks.
Nice vid. Thanks, Powerlines. Mostly no music - much appreciated. The only way to improve this would be to add NO music at all.
Paddling in. The best
Yeew!😜🤙
Wiow!!!!!!!!
And yes Jeff Clark surfed this by himself with no water rescue, holy shit is right
Epic
Do they do tow-in there?
I want to see Mavericks on a big day. Any videos?
5:31
Dude got destroyed
godisbollocks poor dude he did something dumb
Lmaooo “YEAHHHH” *boom*... * silence *
Green board guy's got some heart.
Its funny howvjust making the drop of big waves just makes all of it worth it must be so sick
Right, dudes, explosion, 🤠😂😎🤙🇺🇸
Nice glassy conditions though kind of small for Mavericks.
How much does the tide affect this spot?
6:10 is what you came to see, acid drops about 10 feet by my measure, that's some vert almost.
That was at least 20 feet. Idk how are they alive! I surfed at Pacifica beach around January! Waves kept nailing me down to the ground. I thought I was gonna die.
Wow
Well I don't know how you are measuring / estimating the height of the breaking waves. The crest of the wave at 5:22 falls down in 1,1 to 1,15 secundes. The free fall formular is h = 0,5 * g * t^2. So h = 0,5 * (9,81 m / s^2) * (1,13 s)^2 = 6,3 m (20,5 ft). The amplitude (A) is 0,5 * h. So then 10 ft is about right.
@@victorcheg4556 20 feet wave height and 10 ft amplitude. Both are physically right.
@@victorcheg4556 Good wax or a grip pad, pretty sure they run a jet ski to pull people these days also if they are struggling from a slam
Nice
How big are those? I calculate, the big ones looked to be 60 ft faces. Any idea? Someone?
Around 30ft faces
Infinitely prefer ambient sounds to music.
Drake! What a legend.
🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🇧🇷
Crap holly shit😂
Why come nobody gets surfing from jet ski?
3:57 cool
Looks like, I borrowed, this surfer's board, before! At 10:19, he shifted? He had it, made! I drop in, just like it,
it's quicker-- safer! But tricks, the memory, alot! Islander intel.
Fucking insane
Not trying to brag or anything but I am quite the boogie boarding master myself
0:43 shark??
🤙🇺🇸🌈
Sharks love young human treats that are wrapped up to look like sea lions.
Commercials bruh. Come on
Surfing sucks. Don't try it.
