I am very excited to start this wire sculpting project. I want to express my gratitude to Robin for allowing me to be his student. I have already made some sculptures in other techniques, but with the wire technique it is my first time modeling from the ski
Well, this was mesmerizing. I went from searching for how to build a base for a human sculpture (Because I have no one to teach me) to finding astonishing images of sculptures made entirely of wire.
I came across your channel yesterday and was simply amazed! I had seen these lovely pieces of art before but I was so happy to discovered your process from beginning to end. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful, whimsical nature in your art fairies and making these instructional videos.
As a fellow tradesmen and artist, I find this inspirational, informative, and very cool! I do preservation, historical work, metal, and carpentry, this is the first time I've seen sculpture design with wires, it's beyond awesome!
His fairies are awesome! Wire has been used for years to make dolls and animals etc. Christmas decor, especially outdoor displays are made from wire. His are just more beautiful!
That is AWESOME I want to try this so hard! I always do small 1:100 or 1:50 wire figures for my architecture models, I like them much more than those out of plastics or carton because they contrast much better and stay alone as not a part of the building. At the same time they seem more vivid and organic. Now I discovered your wonderful sculptures and I fell so in love. Thank you for sharing these videos! I'm now dreaming of a 1:1 or 1:2 dog wire sculpture inspired by the style of giacometti. I am really thrilled by your art.
I have loved your pieces for years now, they are absolutely gorgeous and inspiring! Thank you for bringing such beauty to the world and helping we less-talented folks to at least try to replicate these magical beings!
Hi Robin. Unfortunately I bought a couple of the crap imposters before finding out about you and the true fairies. They are so happy, they make me smile. Glad you know about the scams and appreciate your efforts to eliminate them.keep up the beautiful work.
your generosity in sharing your technique in making these stunningly beautiful sculptures is so inspiring....all I can say is I really love them...every single one of them 😁 thank you 😊
I've been looking for you for years as I've wanted to tell you I love the way you catch the grace and movement of the earth and air fairies in wire. Very life like and true to form. It's as though they swim in the air like a ballet performance. That you catch them so real, it's as though you've actually seen them, but don't want to admit it? I do wonder if you've seen the water fairies and how they travel? Your work is amazing and the fairies are pleased! 💚💚💚
Mr, Wright, I am a victim of this and can say I was so disappointed I did not get your product. I even called once and spoke with someone who told me you were going out of business. I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE NOT AND I WILL BE PURCHASING YOUR PRODUCT IN THE FUTURE. God bless and keep you safe.
Truly thank you for making this video ive had one lg resin statue farie in my garden for years with smaller one placed strategically thru out my garden. But yours are just so fluid with the motion you instill in them. I really enjoyed your process and if i can find your book in my country barnes noble id like to purchase it to read all the steps you took in achieving your certain designs.plus i think its great that your teaching others your skill so its not a lost art form thank you for bringing beauty in our world when we so very need more smiles and lovely things to look at. I hope some day i can purchase one of your pieces even if its just a small one...by the way do you sign your books? Thanks again ..( just a rock dot artist/ amateur watercolor painting artist) but awesome proffesional horticulturist....lol...Mikelle art mom🎨✍👩🎨
If I could suggest a small change. Viewing would be better if you moved the Video #'s out of the center of the screen and perhaps displayed them in the upper right corner or somewhere out of the way. Otherwise I love your work! I was astonished the first time I came across one of your sculptures!!! They are truly remarkable and exceptional works of art!!!!
Hi Robin, your art work is awesome. I have a question. Fairy having different height. Are you using different thickness of wire according to the height?
Hello there, been watching loads of your videos on how to create your fairies, I’m completely hooked. I quite creative so I’ve just ordered some wire to experiment with to see if I enjoy working with it , I’ve been searching for a clip of how to do the dandelions , I can’t find one ! Do you have one ? A fan
Hi, these fairies are amazing. I love them. I have just been bought an 8" starter kit to make. I've found one video tutorial for the 8" ones. Are there anymore? X
Have you tried on a bigger scale to wind coils like they do when making those copper dragons, gives a good perspective for your mermaid and dragon projects. I found mixing gold, green and blue metallic paint when spraying the steel gives a long lasting effect also.
Your sculptures are beautiful, congratulations I'm in the translator I'm Brazilian, and I wanted to know if you don't teach here in your videos the step by step for us I would be very grateful for the answer 🙏☺️
Can i ask what type of wire did you use for your work? Is it a steel wire? I have a project for my class which i wanted to created but I bought a different type of wire and it is hard to work on my current project with the steel wire so I am planning to use your technique in recreating my sculpture piece instead of trying to bend the wire. Your work is always stunning and masterpiece.
Excellent stuff.. im going to try some of this for my own garden. A question... using steel tools with stainless I've been told its a no-no. Do you have a concern with this?. Thanks
There is some logic behind it, but its more myth than truth. If say you use steel wire-wool on stainless, it leaves a residue that rusts and can stain the stainless. Nothings I've done with steel hand tools has caused any problem at all. Also welding or heating stainless can change the properties and it will stain, but its not corrosion and can be polished out again.
I thought they are making full size models for the 6" or 8" kits we can purchase... I could be wrong... I must watch more to see what this all about because I find it so enjoyable.
After binge-watching your whole channel I come back to Trillian. She's just stunning. 🥰

Just found your channel and subscribed.
Yesterday I ordered your book. Looking forward to doing my best...
what gauge of wire should I use to start? I don't have those machines to use on wires, only hands and pilers..
Great presentations. Thanks!
