    Aww, Sara! I've been following your channel for AT LEAST 8 years and even back then, I always thought your art has such a unique and dream-like look to it. It really breaks my heart to know now that you were such a young kid with so much going on for you behind the scenes. I've been watching your latest videos as well talking about mental health and so on, and I'm so happy to see you've been doing a lot better now. It's been a privilege to follow your journey as an artist and as a person, and I can't wait to see what you'll be doing on the next 10 years and onwards! 💛

      Thank you so much for such a sweet comment 🥺 It's surreal watching back my old videos, but they were a good avenue for me to express my emotions when I wasn't able to otherwise. I'm grateful that you've stuck along for so long!

    I love all of your stuff, I'm so happy that this stuff is all back. And thank you for sharing your vulnerability, your journey. You are an inspiration.
    I am also someone who is very quiet and I hope that some day I can be more comfortable in my own skin and able to talk to people.

    Your videos meant so much to me. I used to watch them every night before bed, almost like a little routine. They really helped me in my art journey . I loved your old art style just as much as your new one. I remember there was this one video about delicate lines that I must’ve watched a trillion times,I was absolutely obsessed with it.I was indeed sad when those videos were privated but im glad they are back now 😭

      Thank you for sharing! I get harder on myself about video quality and lighting, and watching those videos shows me how far I've come. I realized that even though the video quality wasn't the best, the drawings and chats were good! I hope that you can find some joy in watching them again! I appreciate you🫶

    Yay! Im so glad you brought the videos back: I was especially excited to see the Butterfly Dream video again! I believe that one was how I found your channel. I think I’ve been following you since I was around 16-ish, and your channel has brought so much comfort.
    Thank you for being vulnerable with us, and sharing a bit of your story. It’s funny because I used your channel as a way of escape; i would binge watch your videos or turn them on while I was drawing. It was a way for me to escape my own childhood trauma and toxic home life. So thank you for making UA-cam videos! You’ve helped me so much on my art journey 🩵

    I never knew you had a soft spot for games. These are my recommendations for turn-based games that are unique and story-heavy. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did: Metaphor Refantazio, Persona 3 Reload, and The Banner Saga (trilogy). 💘

    • @SaraTepes
      @SaraTepes  6 днів тому +4

      Zac loves Metaphor Refantazio and Persona 5 and 3! You guys have similar taste 👀 I haven't heard of The Banner Saga, but it looks very interesting! I started really liking games when I began to sit and watch and talk about what was happening. I had an ex who would always blow me off to play Overwatch, and that jaded me a little and made me felt like it was between a game and me. Zac is super kind and nerdy, so he loves to share the games he loves and likes when I hang out with him while he's playing! It's made me see games as a lot more cozy and less aggressive

    • @Saren.7
      @Saren.7 6 днів тому +1

      @@SaraTepes Hey you're with Zac now so girl you got even better taste *insert snap* for being with someone with such good game taste as well. I started gaming at the age of 5 ahah never stopped, my husband is also a gamer we don't play the same things but we do discuss what we play together, I love the diversity in games and the creativity that goes into it. The Banner Saga is a brain tickler + a visual novel that can be dark if you're not careful one of the gems that went unnoticed IMO, also I'm a huge fan of P5 as well I didn't recommend it because if you play P3 Reload you will continue to play all their releases. It's so nice seeing this side of you I would love to watch you play games and see your reactions and takes (not necessarily streaming) us artists usually read colors and scenes differently than people who don't so an artist's take can be nice and unique. I probably cursed you with this thought ahahah enjoy much love 💘

    its crazy to see how long ago some of the pieces are in the videos you had privated. I bought a hand full of prints back in college for my dorm- its surreal but like seeing an old friend in the speedpaints like the monthly watercolor flower portraits. I have May and June, i believe, in the cutest matching frames I thrifted now on the walls in my house. I'm so happy you feel comfortable sharing them again.

    I am glad that you have figured out how to create as well as pay the bills! I struggled with that dynamic every year that I considered myself a freelance artist. I was determined not to take a 9 to 5 job, like digging ditches! I did so many creative type jobs from creating pet portraits to taking little league pictures and weddings to making T-Shirts on a silkscreen printing press! I even did some work at a “regular” design firm that introduced me to digital artwork! I first started working in art with traditional mediums and I had to learn how to use the computer to get those freelance jobs that you had to submit a digital file as nobody would accept the art on illustration boards! I had a difficult job switching to digital workflow. I admire your work ethic and flexibility to keep creating in all the mediums available to artists today!
    Thank you for sharing your journey and please keep posting and sharing all of your videos is a very grown-up thing to do.

    I love all sorts of games and turn based games are really high up there in the list of games I enjoy. I can probably recommend you a ton of stuff to check out but honestly I'd worry that they wouldn't fit without knowing what you enjoy about Baldur's Gate. I will however recommend a series I have but have not played which is not a turn based game. I've heard a lot of great things about the Dragon Age games (the new one is hit or miss apparently?) and I think it could scratch that same itch due to it being very story heavy and your choices matter somewhat. If you specifically are enjoying CRPGs there's plenty of those you can look into but there's a whole world of great turn based titles I'd highly recommend, I just don't like suggesting things without discussing with someone to gauge if they'd really be into it.

      I like your nuanced take! I enjoy the combat style of BG3, and how it feels tactical and not technical (if that makes sense). I love that it's so similar to D&D, but I wouldn't expect that of another game. BG3 is relaxing to me, so any other game with story driven characters, or similar combat style would be nice! Other games I've enjoyed have been Cult of the Lamb (although the crusades are so stressful for me hahaha) and It Takes Two (excited about their new game!) I think the element of magic or whimsy in all these games make them stand out to me.

    Since you're a big (massive :) ) fan of Baldur's Gate 3, you should try Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2 (also made by Larian Studios) if you haven't already. I think my wife and I both liked its combat mechanics a bit more than BG3 just because it wasn't trying to copy D&D's exactly.
