    Thank you for your review. I had watched this review and others of the MSI Summit E13 Flip before and after making my purchase of the black model.
    The review helped in the purchasing decision.

    Love your videos! keep it up.
    I've bought the razer book 13 because of you and i'm very happy about it. Only it's sad that it randomly BSOD crasher every day, common problem. But still, great videos!

    • @ukabah2910

      @@JosephKim Not sure, i've been in contact with razer support but they can't seem to fix it. A replacement would have the same problems.
      Stopping hardware acceleration in chrome helped, so i guess it's the only 4 cores that can't handle it some point.

    • @ukabah2910
      @ukabah2910 2 роки тому +2

      @@JosephKim no, the crashes happen with only 2 tabs open and no background apps running. Also while using discord it instantly crashes. These bsod's are really random. Besides all that, it's still a lovely little machine

    How is the daily usage video going? I’m debating between this and an XPS 13 OLED. this one thing I’ve noticed is that the display calibration seems to be off (oddly too bright) and it washes out the colors.

    • @JosephKim
      @JosephKim  2 роки тому

      It's hard to gauge the quality of screen over videos as my camera will not record the screen anywhere near what we actually see. With that said, I prefer non-OLED since OLED often are quite expensive and over-resolution impacting battery life and performance. The daily usage video is in the works. I'm typing on it!

    • @takumonju
      @takumonju 2 роки тому +1

      I agree oled is nice but the battery drain is the deal breaker.
      But for this laptop in particular you can seen the blacks in video are washed out even with low brightness (say 25%). I’m going to try a calibration on it to see if I can get it adjusted.
      But the battery life has been great; I actually like the keyboards even though some complain. There is a little “reverb” from the Touchpad when I move off it that is some weird haptic setting I wish I could turn off. But overall it seems decent.
      I know people have complained about the hinge so I’m still trying it.

    • @JosephKim
      @JosephKim  2 роки тому

      @@takumonju so, which laptop are you currently trying out? OLED does have inconsistent color/brightness issue on low brightness. Also XPS 13 keyboard is a bit different since it is low travel keys (I actually don't mind this much on mine)

      It’s been a bunch:
      Samsung Galaxy 13 - nice screen and great battery life but poor thermals and the hinge wasn’t strong enough to prevent bobbing of the toouchscreen
      Lenovo IdeaPad 14 Slim Pro - great laptop and great specs. But the sharp edges on the keyboard bit into my wrists when using for a long time. Also no TB4 was a concern.
      Framework - I loved this laptop. Great display, best keyboard and touchpad. No touchscreen was tough and the battery was really short under 5 hours. It s a great V1 but I’m hoping the have a 2 in 1 soon because I’d love to be a customer.
      Asus ROG x13 - great combo of gaming and laptop. Really good form factor. Thermals were a bit high but more concerns with the custom ASUS port and long term viability. Plus $1500 for the laptop and then another $1500 for the external GPU is crazy imho.
      Lenovo yoga slim 9i - this should should have been the one to beat. But really weird issues with it - the optical fingerprint sensor doesn’t work on dry fingers. I kid you not when people mention licking or breathing on their finger to make it work. And with no IR camera this was the one unlock option.
      And then the Dell XPS 13 Oled - probably the best of the bunch but some serious throttling (to keep sound down) and poor battery life - 4-6 is what I typically see. But really great build otherwise.

      The laptop memory is not upgradable. You have two options 16gb and 32 gb. You must buy it for how much you want. The only upgradable piece is the nvme drive.

      @@JosephKim im actually an archi grad (altho I wasnt able to do my apprenticeship due to covid and financial issues so I'm planning to do freelance drafting instead and digital art) and Ive been looking for a 2in1 that can handle a bit of lumion (at least for residential capacity) for rendering, some cadd, skp and escape. Some adobe and the pen would be great for easy digital drawings. And maybe a bit of try for video editing and real minor animations (for an organization that I volunteer)
      Ive seen the others but price-wise the msi I think is the cheapest. Im still debating if ill get an iris xe and buy an egpu in the future or get the 3050 already.
