The fact that you’re only 21 and deciding to make a change is crucial. It never to late to change unless God decides your time is up. Some people don’t come to your realization until they are much older and the damage is done. Please don’t ruin your life Jesus has so much more for you! I’m 22 and I don’t want that story when I have the chance to change now before my poor decisions affect my future marriage and future children.

Follow him with faith and he WILL show you a new way of life. Stay strong and make sure you do the steps, but also 1 on 1 therapy to get the necessary things out you need to! God bless.
I'm 37 and just found him again almost 8 years ago. Doing it at your age is amazing..I've seen death personally and lost many friends an school mates to addiction. Proud of you brother! He's been with you the whole time waiting on you to find him, or wouldn't of saved you from the 7 overdoses!
I want to agree with Tim on the way God does bless us with the gift of speaking in tongues. I remember being baptized (born again) and everyone receiving their gift (of speaking in tongues) BUT me! I remember being sad and when I got home while praying at around 4am, JUST like Tim described, I began to speak in a language I could not understand! I knew it was not me and I knew I could not understand it, but it just flowed out of my mouth. It was with such ease and there was a certainty within me that God had just blessed me with such a beautiful gift. I was so happy that morning! My God just drew in a little closer that morning. I was so thankful! I cried and cried tears of JOY! That happened at 17 years old for me and I am 35 years old now and I just love to trust God and flow in the Spirit. I'd say to anyone wanting to receive the gift; it won't make sense... trust God and let it flow! It may never sound like anything you have ever heard or will hear. Never stop being hungry to receive all of God's gifts! God can do it!

I liked where you talked about the egg. And vulnerability being your superpower. Recently after watching an online sermon the Holy Spirit revealed something that blew me away. He showed me a family pattern that has affected my current behavior. As I processed it with Him, He continued to show me more about something I've been working on. And how they are related.🤯 This experience came to mind as you talked about doing your own work. As I do my own work, I'm changing. I can't do other people's work. Thanks for that reminder! I really appreciate the open rebuke of purity culture. I'm 37 and still struggling with its brainwashing, feels like I'm alone in it, and I still hear snippets of purity culture in the churches I usually attend. Honestly the whole thing has strained my loyalty to the church. So it's very refreshing to hear Christians not hedge or hmm-haw, but directly repudiate it
At 29:09 when he’s talking about how God told him that was his wife… how do we know that it’s God telling us that and not us just hoping that that is the truth? I’m struggling with this right now. How do I know the man I’m talking to is who God wants me to be with rather than just who I want God to approve of?

Can Tim give me advice on this issue: I am a deep rooted Christian who is divorced with 2 kids. We’ve been apart for 11 years. My ex has become an atheist since we parted. Our daughter who is almost 14 is wrestling with her sexual identity. As a follower of Christ, I tell her I love her and also tell her that that’s not who God created her to be. Her father on the other hand celebrates this & buys her pride paraphernalia. Besides praying for her & speaking truth to her, is there anything else I can do to help steer her through this?

Regarding your ex husband and your daughter’s sexual identity, you are battling spirits (spiritual warfare). As a Christian Mother, you have to fight in the spirit, which is with the Word of God. Stand firm on his word. His truth will prevail! You may not see it right now, but you have to have faith to believe. Continue to stand. Pray over your family each and everyday and give it to God. He fights our battles for us. He gives us what we need to fight. I would constantly study spiritual warfare so that you can get strong. The devil will flee. He has no power over you or your family! Ok I’m upset that anyone in a church would THREATEN a member from leaving. I’ve seen that happen from my mother church during church planting the church I came from had a be pastor that SPIRITUALLY threatened members who wanted to support the church plant. Sadly, it worked. It’s only more 5 years later that many mother church members have their eyes open to the manipulative spiritual threatening they were under and many have come to the church plant to apologize. We have to ask for spiritual discernment because the spirit of covert narcissism & manipulation in the church is a hot mess. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

And how we focus on the prodigal son but lack the focus of the elder brother to come into the feast. And how as a church we look up to more elder brothers than the prodigal sons who don't feel welcome in the church. Both are sinners but we make the elder brother look good because of how he has done everything right. (self-righteousness) The feast is meant to bring both together and feast in peace. No wonder we have a lot of prodigal sons that don't wanna come to church. Hopefully this makes sense, I digress because there's so much more context for it. (This is to piggyback on what you are learning now and about the feast you talked about)
