Tough to say what could combat cheaters depending on the cheats. Some players are quite good and can be hard to tell a very skilled player from someone using cheats in a more suble way. Though definetly have noticed over past few years increase in cheating and from usual aim bot and wall hack that may not have been as refined to some that are just blatant. Such as watching a kill cam to see the crosshairs tracking you through a wall, shooting starts before they clear the wall even to ensure hits soon as possible. Had seen one video and i remember right their survey they did of a few thousand found 2/3 of people had used cheats or mods in games before. Though mostly single player or PVE. Somewhat surprising was 1/4 admitted to using cheats and mods in multiplayer games such as COD. Biggest change that could fix it would be more mindset. More than ever see the top players playing, making money. Then they enjoy it and want the same. But then find they are not as good so resort to the quick and easy way to improve via cheats. Some is mentality as well of "they are doing it. So i have to do it." Saw this way back in the days of battlefield 2 with clan had been in. Started with the macro for clicking to help aim and guide the missile of the helicopter. Then remove the sky box to see other helicopter easier. Then range finder. By the end had lost all respect id had for most in the clan that just followed the leader in that. When i left it was to neon colors for all assests. All trees and shrubs removed. More of a point and click all to be the best over to have fun.
