- I LOST 100 POUNDS!
It wasn't an easy journey. Losing 100 pounds is a journey that requires a lot of hard work, determination, and perseverance. It's a journey that requires you to make significant changes to your lifestyle and the way you think about food and exercise. It can be a challenging and emotional process, but it can also be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.
I accomplished that !
I still have a long way to go to reach a healthy weight, but I will take a moment to recognize this accomplishment.
It took me 23 months to lose 72.3 pounds. It was hard and challenged me emotionally and physically.
Then, I had Gastric Bypass in Dec 2022 and lost 27.7 in 7 weeks.
I still have another 70-100 pounds to lose.
Now, I know I can. I know I will! Now I know WHY I allowed myself to become morbidly obese.
Addiction took control of me. I spiraled out of control and it took drastic measure for me to hit rock bottom.
It also took drastic measures for me to control my addiction.
I know I could have done it without the surgery, but I chose to have Gastric Bypass because I didn't want to wait any longer than I needed to, in order to be healthier. I have been a type 2 diabetic for over 12 years and the complications from diabetes far outweighs the risk of the surgery.
I did what I did, to get healthier for me and my boys.

7 weeks post-op Gastric Bypass RNY Surgery. Welcome to my Weight Loss Story. My name is Katherina and I am documenting my WLS. I will be having Gastric Bypass Roux En Y. My highest weight is 356 on January 2020. Since then I have been attempting to get my health in check to relieve the struggles of diabetes, hypothyroidism, high blood pressure and endometriosis. I am a stroke survivor and want to ensure that I don't have another one. I am the mother of two boys and the the step mother of a wonderful young lady. I have been with my husband for 16 wonderful years. With the love and support of my family and friends, my medical team and with the strength and protection of the All Mighty, I commit myself to beating my food addiction and get rid of my binge habits. On this channel I will share my struggles and my successes and perhaps help another soul who is struggling with the same issues. I want to be healthy, mentally and physically. I hope to bring value, motivation and encouragement to this channel.

HEATHER ! How are you feeling? It's been 2 weeks already since you had your surgery. I hope the procedure went without incidents and that you're healing well. TRUST THE PROCESS.
