Ah yes, Nibel. I actually like this monster and the armor is pretty cool for a gunner, as are the bowguns from the set, some of my favorites. Sometimes even an old dog can learn new tricks; I had no idea the monster could swallow bombs when coming up from the sand. Thanks for the great video!

Nibelsnarf is a weird one, I never really thought of it as a low level monster, and for a monster with the "submerge" gimmick it is honestly one of the better-designed ones.
Yeah! I feel like a lot of 3rd gen monsters had some sort of "gimmick" which is cool, it makes them feel more dynamic, like they have their own way of living and interacting with the world rather than just copying the bird wyvern skeleton again, or something, you know? lol And yeah for sure, for Diablos (at least low rank) it was always just, like, it's either up or down, and when it's down, if it's enraged, you're just waiting. Not great. Nibel is a cool monster design all around, I like him 😌

But you can see in my example hunt, things went pretty smoothly. It can get better, keep trying, take a break if you have to, but stick with it, you got this!

Yeah! In 3rd gen they kinda went all out with the gimmicks for each monster, which is a good thing because it helps them feel more distinct and dynamic. Barroth with the mud, Nibel with the bombs and fishing, Qurupeco with the songs, it's cool, a good evolution from 2nd gen 🙂

First few hunts i was hopelessly running back and forth. I felt like the prey instead of the hunter. Now, even if i wear my old equipments, I'm positive i can beat nibelsnarf even without bombs
UA-cam "just works" 😅😅 It's ok, most of the views will probably come much later on anyways, I make the videos now, and people will find them later on 🙂 that's sort of what's happening with some of my MHFU videos too.
I have been attempting to beat nibelsnarf *without* the use of sonics and bombs. The way I did it is God's Isle LBG aka clust + crag spam. I can shoot a clust shot into its mouth when it charges at me. This will slow it down when the bullet explodes, giving me time to roll to the side. The defense stats are trash tho. Clust + crag isn't known for speed, so maybe there's a better way.
Hammer can work well too! I wanted to use GS because I feel like if you tend to overcommit, Nibelsnarf might give you a lot of problems, wanted to show how to work around that.
You need to kill and carve Bnahabra. You might notice they tend to explode when you try to kill them, but if you kill them with poison, most easily done with a poison smoke bomb, they'll die without exploding and you can carve them. Im currently playing mhxx but i cant get to wound his front legs. and i expected it to be harder than the mh3rd but nah he's more terrifying in 3rd than XX 🤣
Yeah, my first encounter with nibel was in MHGen, and using Adept style you can kinda ignore some parts of him, like the back sand blast. We just have more tools in the future titles :P

I believe Nibelsnarf is a better leviathan than Lagiacrus and a better sand fight than Diablos. One of my favorite monsters of all time.
