  • How strong is your core? See how well you can hold onto these poses without losing stability in your back:
    *Plank pose for 30 seconds
    *Boat pose for 30 seconds
Core strength is important for stabilizing your spine in all static and dynamic movements. If you’re struggling in any of the above, it could mean you have a weak core and are prone to back pain.
Try my 21-Day Happy Back Challenge and feel the difference yourself.

Plank pose - perfect form for 2 minutes without even breaking a sweat. Boat pose - can't even lift my feet off the ground. 😂 Doesn't feel like a problem in my core, seems like something in my hip/pelvis region doesn't have the strength to lift my legs...

That's a great start with the plank pose! It sounds like your boat pose needs some work, but that's totally normal. Weakness in the hips can definitely affect your ability to lift your legs. There are exercises specifically designed to target the hip flexors that you can incorporate.

Thanks so much for the reply! Now I know the search term, I'll look for exercises specifically for my hip flexors. Thanks! 🙏🙏🙏

Okay, nailed boat pose for 30 secs - any tips for helicopter to fly me out to the nearest chiropractor? The pelvis ain't supposed to be swingin loose like this, right?

If your pelvis feels really loose, it might be a good idea to listen to your body and hold off on that exercise for now. There are other core exercises you can try to help with core strength and stability.
