Thanks for posting 😊 “All these little units buzzing around still getting six dice”: Well, you’d have to have been quite lucky with your Courage rolls. I mean you get -1 for each model killed, so if you have lost 11 models from a regular unit, you’d have a whopping -11 on courage tests! I have a hard time imagining they would stay on the table for long 😅 A -5 for a six-man unit is also pretty harsh. Exciting game though!

@@botteu Yes indeed a fun one to play. Steve used the warriors quite well, provoked some thought.

Doesn't initiative pass across when a unit fails a command in Lion Rampant? That's what keeps the game moving fast and furiously.

@@davefielder4411 yep it does but not in the advanced rules.
I think if you are playing 24 points or less it’s fine, 24+ you need adavanced, tbh typically with 7 units a side it switches pretty quickly.
LR is a v fast game, most finished in under 2 hours

We have had long discussions on this. The general consensus was that for 24 point games the re-roll method works fine, but for larger games the alternative method mentioned on page 39 is better. Some units still fail to activate, and with me it is often most who fail, but overall it seems a popular alternative. However, we all agree to use the re-roll method if someone really wants to. 😁

@@wargameshobby hehe nice explanation Alex, agree about 24+ the advanced rules work better.

Graham, can we see you properly rolling the dice (like your opponent) rather than tipping them off the side of your hand?

@@christopherfranklin972 a interesting observation and something I have discussed with Wayne. Reason I do is I am acutely aware if i throw dice on the table, the camera does not capture the moment. I have to zoom out. With the opponent further away from camera I am more likely to fully capture their “roll”.
I have used dice trays in the past but many of my opponents donot like them.
It is a fair observation and thx you for viewing.

Yes, to see all the dice it needs to be a gentle throw, rather than have the dice spread out over the whole table. The dice trays are good, but sometimes you can’t see the dice due to the high tray sides. 😁

@@wargameshobby also Alex some opponents just don’t like dice trays,,, they can be a bit of a eye sore on the battlefield.
A few years ago I did experiment with 2 cameras, maybe I should give this more thought.
