Happy 10 years to Rayman Origins. It was a great time to be a Rayman fan when this was announced after nothing but mostly Rabbids games during the mid to late 2000s.
This was the most mind-blowing video game trailer I had ever seen in my life back then. I had never been more hyped for a videogame and it totally lived up to expectations. I always liked Rayman better than Mario. I had to wait till Zelda Breath of the Wild came out in 2018 before my excitement for any game would reach that level again.
I really wish they'd released this version of the the theme.. This is one of the best game trailers ever, it's just bursting with energy, musically and visually.
Francisco Fabian Yes. It was great, and went back to the roots of Rayman. Sadly, the new crazy humor just sets me off. Rayman is a serious, yet funny character. Great game, but it sadly should've gone with the birth of Rayman plot. But the un-manageable part may be due to because they didn't bother changing his behavior. It would've made more sense with the Rayman being born plot.
After revisiting this one trailer Rayman is also one character I truly love as well, quirky, chill, uniquely designed even in the past just wish he would gain much more recognition and have his gifts more well taken in note then the Rabbids. :/
Ikr? It's like why do they keep trying to make the Rabbids relevant? Because their humor is more just random and annoying, similar to some popular memes in meme culture? Rabbids were fine back in Raving Rabbids 1, but they just got worse and worse as time went on. There are some funny moments they have, but they aren't funny all the time. And the ultimate is how the RABBIDS were utilized in Mario + Rabbids, you know how cool it would be to have Rayman, Globox, Teensy and Barbara as the other 4 playable characters instead of rabbid knockoffs of the Mario characters? Not to mention the wacky antics of this series were one thing I really enjoyed about Rayman, especially in Origins and Legends. The weird creatures, funny voice clips from enemies when you'd smack them away, it was so much put into Rayman, even the older games, that it stood out as a brilliant series to me. But unfortunately, now that Michel Ancel has retired, we won;t be getting another game unless someone buys Rayman from Ubisoft. And even then, will they be able to deliver the same creativity and antics as when the game was under Michel's direction? As many reboots have show, most likely not.
the earliest games i remember playing were Subway Surfers on one of my aunt's phone, Medal of Honor: Airborne (still love that game) and of course Rayman Origins. for me, even though I don't know Rayman lore all too much and I only played one game, it is still a big and one of the greatest parts of my childhood.
its 2020, and yep this is gunna be my favorite game ever, of all time. This game shouldve been in so many more hands, its the 90's platformer fully realized on modern platforms?! Not since the original Donkey Kong Country has platforming been this good, fluid and purposeful. The level design is off the charts good

I have never played any of the older Rayman games but after playing this one I have to. This game is awesome and it gives you the feel of those old classic games like Mario and Donkey Kong. I'm not familiar with the characters so I'm not really sure what the story is about outside of Rayman and his friends being too noisy for the people who look like zombies and they want to attack Rayman and his friends, that's what I understand so far and that they get captured and have to escape. The gameplay is great, so far what I get of the story it is great, the animation/graphics are great. This is a fun game. If you have not played this game then I recommend you do. This game is Gametastic rating 5/5
Nope, in fact if i recall it was officially changed to be set AFTER Hoodlum Havoc. So i'm not quite sure why they stuck with the name "Rayman: Origins" aside from maybe it just rolling off the tongue well enough.
Puffy the Destroyer After the script change they justified the name “Origins” by saying the gameplay was going back to it’s Origins (Rayman 1 was a side scroller) to me it just seems lazy that they didn’t change the name as well.

Hello, I am from the future and I can tell you Rayman Origins was a very good game. They also got a sequel to the game called Rayman Legends. Unfortunately, that was the last Rayman game to be on console. Now the fandom feels a little forgotten
Don’t get me wrong, Rayman Origins is fantastic, easily one of my fav platformers of all time. That being said, I can’t be the only one who thought it had the potential to be even greater based on this first trailer. I mean, this was actually supposed to be about his ORIGIN, right? The final product has almost no semblance to the story that was teased here. I would’ve loved something a little deeper. There are also the unused environments, enemies, and interactive objects, as well as blowing wind and jumping on top of other player’s heads midair for a boost. Not to mention this amazing piece of music that is nowhere to be found in the released game if I’m not mistaken. I really wonder what went on behind the scenes for so many ideas to be scrapped. I think I remember this was supposed to be episodic as that was a weird trend at the time, so clearly lots of drastic decisions were made mid-development. Idk. Again I love this game and it holds a special place in my heart, but that’s exactly why it makes me just a little sad to see so much that could’ve made my experience that much more memorable.
Funny to see that the game changed a lot which make the title weird. I see the term "Origins" as a way to say that Rayman has returned to the 2D like the first game but it's looks like the game was created as a prequel we would have seen the Origins of the hero.
Why didn't Ubisoft use this version? We've could've seen the actual Orgins of Rayman. Since it's a game called Rayman ORIGINS! But, at least the game is amazing.

I think I remember this was supposed to be episodic as that was a weird trend at the time, so clearly lots of drastic decisions were made mid-development. Idk. Again I love this game and it holds a special place in my heart, but that’s exactly why it makes me just a little sad to see so much that could’ve made my experience that much more memorable.

Funny to see that the game changed a lot which make the title weird. I see the term "Origins" as a way to say that Rayman has returned to the 2D like the first game but it's looks like the game was created as a prequel we would have seen the Origins of the hero.

Why didn't Ubisoft use this version? We've could've seen the actual Orgins of Rayman. Since it's a game called Rayman ORIGINS! But, at least the game is amazing.
