Great video review, Bro! I appreciate your time making this content! I know you're a turntable dude from seeing some of your other videos, so if you say the feel is on point... I trust you. I came from using Technics 1200s in the late 80s to currently using Rane 12s & 70 mixer. I need a controller for smaller setups. The Rane One didn't check all of my boxes (Fx mainly), and the Rev 7 was tempting. I was hoping Rane responded to Pioneer with a new improved Rane One. The Rane 4 is near perfect, but they went in a totally different direction. NAMM is this month, but I doubt I will see anything else new from Rane this year. Guess I will have to keep my fingers crossed and wait a little longer to see what happens.
Thanks bro, and of course! The platters feel a lot better than I expected but nothing can top the naturalness of the Rane 12s. I just hate lugging them around so I’m actually looking for a controller to use more often too. This controller is really fun to play with! I like the Rev 7 a lot too because im so familiar with the S9 and motorized platters but controller wise, the four might be my new favorite. I like it better than the Rane one. But yea, the ranes and the 70 mixer is tough to beat. Def hear you on waiting to see what else comes out 💯💯

No doubt 🙏🏾 I haven’t used it out and about yet, the but the Rane one sounded pretty good. At this price point, I’m pretty positive the quality would be good. And it has to XLR inputs for mics which is great, and EQs (high and low) for each. Mic 1 also has the echo, but not mic 2.
Bro, you can do that with Serato software. It's a nice unit, and not sure if it's a gamer for dedicated hardware. But I am considering buying it as my first Rane product. I own the Rev 7, Rev 1, S11, and (2)1200 MK7, which all are great but not against Rane's product, so this may be my first Rane purchase. Great job with your presentation 🎉

Another honest opinion,.still holding onto my £££ at the moment,.seen a few of these getting sent back with a faulty jog on different forums,.I like the way you can manipulate 1 tune in so many my ways though,.that’s DJing for me,.a quick question,.is there a mixer that blows this away affects wise that I can just add a couple CDJs,or Rane turntables for around the same £1700 price,.it’s a lot of ££££ to fork out for the odd faulty mixer,especially after waiting weeks for delivery,.times ££££,.still a well explained review and still very tempting apart from the faults.
After few comments to Rane they started helping me to fix this issue. They are able to send me new parts to replace faulty parts. Unfortunately they send wrong wrong parts. I requested right platter but they send me left side of jog platter😵💫😵💫😵💫 I’m still working on it sort out with Rane. Really frustrating situation I face it…
how do connect my headphones but hear music from the next track I want to play ... ex: playing music on the left deck but wanting to hear music on the right deck before hand...
If Pioneer would of made the FLX 10 w/capacitive jogs and toggle fx i prob would of bought it. Rane got it right with this one. Mechanical jogs are a nuisance and so noisy imo.
I feel you! I really wanna try out the FLX10 but I have a feeling I’m going to like the Four better. I wasn’t a “huge” fan of the Rane one, but agreed that this controller is super nice.
any tips for the microphone? when i use the controller at my bar and club gigs I've tried different mics and everything but the mic output is terrible . if i keep it flat there's a hum and feedback if i turn down the bass it sounds like I'm talking through a tin can. any help would be appreciated.
I haven’t tested the quality of the mic output just yet, however, I’d definitely recommend connecting directly to the club/bar’s system if possible if you’re having quality issues. I use a Shure QLXD4 microphone and the quality was good with the Rane one, and I haven’t had trouble with any controllers in the past as far as quality. Are you also using a balanced connection, XLR?
One of my favorite controllers of all time is the SZ2 - they’re slightly similar. The SZ2 is a little more free flowing while the Rane 4 has more resistance. I like the platters on the Four a lot for sure.
Eh, it doesn’t seem to be as impressive as folks are making it out to be. Like someone else said, it’s not a game changer just because it has dedicated stems buttons. They lost me on this one with the platters that look like they should be motorized, but they aren’t. It’s not a bad controller at all, but the turntablist in me had to go with the Rane One.
Motorized platters would have been a nice touch. Also, the stems dedication is nice because you don’t have to replace your sampler or roll. Also, I like the actual instrumental and acapella button because I blend a lot. The splits are also cool if you like to blend in/out acapellas on the same beat or vice versa. Overall, for mixing and blending, nothing compares in my opinion. However, it all depends on your style of DJ’ing.

Rane Four is cool. A lot of cool features. I like to see you compare that to the Pioneer DJ FLX 10. The FLX 10 has several stem specific features..
Is it as intuitive though as the Rane 4? I don't think it is. Lovely HD jog displays though.

I am waiting for a replacement. Left jog wheel is defective on my Rane Four.
I had a bad experience jog wheel. It’s not responding. No support from Rane. I believe many Rane 4 users had this issue. It’s hardware issues

You can do that using your cue knob and setting the particular song to cue!
