@@TwoMagadan ;-) One wheel bearing is making a bit of noise in 4wd, but I want to add grease without removing the entire hub. Is it possible to remove the outer bearing and pack the inside of the hub with grease without removing brake caliper and disc? CHEERS!
@@offgridislandfamily Hey, it's been a while but IIRC you may be able to get the outer bearing out without removing the hub and grease it but i would definitely inspect both sides. It only adds 5 minutes. the bearing will make noise all the time not just in 4WD. I'd be looking at CV and or the split pin that holds the splined shaft in. I found mine would come off and leave the axle a bit loose creating noise.
@@TwoMagadan Good points all around. Bought myself a can of bearing grease. I'll take your advice of accepting an extra 5 minutes per side to do the job right. Thanks for the quick and helpful reply.
hey guys cool vid. iv done my cv's and bearing yet the locking pin/nut is wearing on the outer bearing . any idea's what would course this. cheers. many weeks of tryn everything and bearing is still wearing on the locking pin cheers
Hey mate - sorry I can't think what would cause that. The two things that pop to mind would be if the bearings were not torqued up enough initially and or races not seated enough initially? Significantly oversized tyres?
thanks mate. yea iv checked both tryd a lot ov different tightness setting and still grinding haha. next i think il try new hubs, if that don't work new car :/. cheers mate
Lovin the burp dude! Plus the use of technical terminology such as "thing" and "apparently". A true Strayan vid.

Literally skipped the exact part I was looking for. LOL
