The text with sound thing is a killer. Riding public transit to work in a large city early in the morning and this girl was loud texting non stop when everyone else was extremely quiet so it echoed through the whole space...finally this woman yelled "stop, just make it stop turn your keyboard to silent" and if this was a movie everyone would have applauded instead we all just kind of smiled and gave head nods but the sound was like nails on a chalkboard and I still remember it 10 years later.
Please don't leave me hanging...Did she silence her phone?

I would like to also propose:
- the one that is weirdly physical
- the one that never stops talking and doesn’t understand how to let a conversation end (or to let you speak)
- the one that never breaks eye contact and will make comments like “you have a very deep soul”
Or the one who's constantly looking around you while you try to have a serious conversation. Is this new--humans need eye contact!!!

My biggest pet peeve is hearing anything playing off of people's phones out in public. Like headphones exist, please use them
I'll be honest, when I'm out for a walk I don't use headphones for safety reasons. I'm a small woman and I like to be aware of my surroundings. But I don't live in a highly populated area, and I always turn it way down when I encounter people. I also hate headphones lol. The big ones make my ears too hot. And the little ones that fit inside my ears are so painful. I have tiny ears and I have yet to find earbuds that actually fit comfortably. But I know it probably does annoy people. I try my best to minimize it as much as possible.
Unless it’s obscenely loud and/or inappropriate to play in public, what’s the difference between someone’s phone and hearing the other conversations of those around you?
@@SG-xo5ug I'm able to tune out other people talking most of the time, but for some reason a video or music or whatever I can't. I have sensory processing issues though. Like my sister will play UA-cam out loud while watching TV and that sounds worse than nails on a chalkboard to me. Too many sounds at once.
@@bunny_0288 that's totally fine by me lol, you are trying your best not to bug other people with it, and being safe at the same time. You aren't in the middle of a grocery store blasting the most random youtube video at full volume, which is what I ran into a few days ago
This is especially bad when I am hiking - like I come out here to GET AWAY from that crap
Unfortunately, a couple of these describe me too well, especially the "Foot in Mouth".
I usually start off like this:
1. Say something stupid (Foot in Mouth)
2. Tap away the awkward
3. Contribute nicely to conversation
4. Say something blunt
5. Realize I said something blunt and proceed to put foot in mouth
6. Run Away
7. Prosper

I'm not typically this person, but I went to a party once where my friend was like, "I have an announcement to make a little later," and I said soo loudly, "OMG, YOU'RE PREGNANT!!!" and everyone at the party turned around and looked, and then with all eyes on her, she was like, sighhhh, yeah, I am, was going to tell everyone, but now, yeah, I'm pregnant. Thanks.
Honestly I'm not sure why people do the "pre announcement announcement" thing. As soon as you say "I have something to say LATER" people will start guessing.😂

I had to stop hanging out with family members who were like that.

There needs to be a senior citizen’s edition of this - extended family at holiday get togethers can always be uncomfortable.
I think my kids can relate to the unending singing. My son grabbed me away from the piano, pulled me down to his level and said "stop." He only knows, like, 10 words and it's the first time I'd heard him use that one.
My pet peeves. Extreme PDA. Borderline R rated stuff. "Get a room!"
Also couples who flaunt their relationships in public. Sugary sweet lovey stuff. Also men publicly touching and rubbing on their wives or girlfriends in a way that should be saved for the bedroom. I don't wanna see that! Especially when I'm trying to eat my meal in peace.
I am with you Pamela 100%! I have several family members who are like that in public, but at home they are the total opposite! In public they are just putting on a show 🤷
I used to work at the airport and the bane of my existence then was the couples that would make out on the front curb when saying goodbye. Like, your flight leaves in an hour; you do not have time for this. Nor does anyone want to see it.
I once saw a couple do that at the gate and then got on the same flight. 🙄
It may not even be R rated, but if you're in a public space, please, kindly, graciously, acknowledge that there are humans around you. Break eye contact with each other once in a while, long enough to see the rest of the world.

My mom talks on the speaker phone in stores and it drives me crazy. She also doesn’t think it’s weird and is annoyed when I ask her not to do it 😂
I am that mom. I try to avoid EMF's so....🤣 I try not doing it though, like i'll totally get off the phone if i'm headed into a store. Lol It's when i get important calls while i'm shopping..🤣
@@emmar-h2025 I try to avoid EMFs too, so what I do is talk on the phone through my headphones with a microphone on the cord.
Doctors’ offices. People using LOUD speaker phone or playing loud kid cartoons/games on their phones without headphones (or at least a lower volume) to occupy their kids in doctors’ offices. Hey, Sheila! Most of the people here feel like crap and don’t want to listen to you kill it on Candy Crush or talk to your sister about your recent colonoscopy. And when I have an ear or sinus infection those loud noises not only annoy, but also hurt!
My dad has asked women who were not pregnant how far along or when they were due multiple times in his life 😂 At what point do you just not bring it up unless they do first!?
The speakerphone talkers are the worst, but on the other hand, I love to eavesdrop on them. If they wanna spread their personal business around in public, I'm gonna be listening!
Agreed! As for knowing your business, if you didn't want it, you shouldn't have done it.
My mom is a bit hard of hearing, so even though she isn't doing the speaker phone in public, her phone volume is just. So. Loud.
Ringer crazy loud, you can hear every word of the other half of the conversation, and then she just talks 3 times as loud when she's on the phone as when she's not.
At least if she's on the phone with my sisters I get a nice life update by proxy! Saves them from calling me 🤣
My wife has the Rubin Hood song as a text alert on her phone. Great when it goes off during the quiet prayer time at church.

These are pretty accurate. I'm always shocked to see young people with the text sound thing on. I'm in my 50s and knew to turn that off like 15 years ago. 🙄

As a general contractor, so funny on the renovation one. 😂 I was just observing how the last kitchen we did looked exactly like the one in this video. 😆 wonder if our clients will have a foot in mouth guest over at their new home anytime soon.

Oh, I am DEFINITELY a Tapper at times. Sometimes I can sit still for long periods, but most times I get restless.
I also have... issues with being blunt. I seem to largely lack a brain to mouth filter. AND I never seem to know when I'm be loud.

I have always been a tapper too! My classmates used to take my pens away from me during class if I got going too loud. 😄
I feel called out with the foot in mouth one. Too many times have I just said something and immediately afterwards regretted it. I particularly remember this one time when I was like 13 at a friend's house in the neighbourhood and I said to him like "Hey do you remember those stupid street parties we used to have? Who even organised those like what was even the point of it?" And then found out that it was his family who was nearby who had organised almost all of them. I don't think that one will ever be out of my mind.
I don't get how other people don't do that all the time like how can you expect me to know these things?
I had 2 kids who did percussion in the school band. They were constantly tapping on everything!!!! Lol

Totally left out the bad manners/loud eaters. I went on a date with a guy who was so funny, we were having a good time, and dinner came. I have never seen a grown man with manners that bad in a restaurant. He was smacking so loud, which I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t a huge pet peeve of mine, but that’s one thing. He not only licked his fingers, but was sucking his fingers clean. People were staring from other tables, my little boy has better table manners. I try really hard not to judge people, just move past things that may get on my nerves a bit, but I couldn’t deal with it. I was trying to cover my ears from the loud smacking noises. There are bad manners and then there are zero manners.
