Eh, if I were to fight against another disabled person in a non life or death situation like this one, I would give them time to get back their Mobility devices and I expect many would do the same. A lot of us see Mobility equipment as extensions of our bodies, so for us to be stripped from them would be worse than demeaning. Sort of like leaving someone paralyzed on the field in football.

What always amazes me is how this reminds us, even for being handicapped that Timmy and Jimmy are stronger than they look. Like how Timmy was able to move around a bit when pulled out of his wheelchair, or how Jimmy does a backbreaker on him in the climax of the fight.
Upper body strength is important for maintaining a level of independence if your legs are disabled. Hard to life yourself into a chair or onto a toilet without the prerequisite muscle tone. Good muscle tone and posture is also important if you’re on crutches to avoid potentially causing scoliosis.
I always loved this reenactment of the "They Live" fight scene. They got every detail of that fight scene right. So glad I got the DVD box set with this episode when it first came out in stores.
Recreating the fight scene between Rowdy Roddy Piper and Keith David from the Movie They Live was genius. I remember watching this and immediately recognizing the lines and fight choreography and to do it with 2 crippled characters makes it even more hilarious 😂

Big reasons for that is: A. They make South Park for their own enjoyment, nobody else’s. B. They were smart enough to negotiate a favorable contract that would give them a major share of the show’s profits, and royalties, plus give them 99% creative freedom over the show. All that makes them unaffected by the politics of Viacom.
@@gcHK47 I think its more to do with how the messaging of the show is pretty inclusive and the comedy is so exaggerated to the point of being outside of reality. Timmy for example is literally just treated normally despite being only able to say his name, the horrible character (cartman) isn't treated like he's doing the right thing (everyone dislikes him), they cover topical issues and satirise them (episode where pop star literally blows half her head off with a shotgun) in a very exaggerated manner. Overall, they're uncancellable because they're not actually pieces of shit, they're messaging is usually pretty positive and inclusive as part of the over the top, offensive material.
I remember watching this fight and feeling like it was oddly familiar. Then i realized the emphasis on the breathing and otherwise silence. It hit me that it was very familiar to They Live. I watched the They Live fight and had my mind blown. So good
