Glowforge definitely looks a little better, but for WAY less money, the Cricut method does really well and good enough for this hobby crafter😄

I just got a Cricut and I'm learning how to use it now. I'm a disabled Army veteran and I'm battling brain, kidney, and autoimmune diseases. I wanted to start doing some crafts again because I just miss being creative. I really wanted a glowforge, but the price was a factor. I'm praying one day I'll able to get one of those. I have really bad tremors and my fingertips are numb from the damage from having neuropathy, and side effects from the pressure in my brain and the 3 brain surgeries.
I've subscribed and saved this video. I will be watching others that you have also. I really think that your videos will help me so much.

Thank you so very much for your videos. You are one of the very few people who actually take the time to have clear and understandable directions and perfect captions! I am Deaf, most creators use auto-captions and the captions are awful. I am new to GF Pro and have been finding it difficult to find videos that are easy to follow and have accurate CC's. I think they both look great! I was actually surprised the Cricut one came out so well its hardly even noticeable which is which on camera. I do like how the Cricut is so much more affordable and the extra steps make it seem more handmade 🙂

Glowforge most definitely has the cleaner look to it but then again it was a laser doing the engraving. On the other side of the coin...the glass etching looks very very good, yes took longer to make time wise but I would feel better with the final project I did by my hands over just clicking few times on my mouse to cre8 something that will produce the final project. Now this is my personal opinion.

I have a Cricut explorer air 2 and I love it,but I'm definitely going to buy a Glowfordge I have a glass etching business and the Glowfordge will really step up my game.
I go with the Cricut because is the only cutter I have. Love the video!

I don't have a Cricut (yet), that's one of the reasons I haven't subscribed. Been checking out your videos to find out what all the Maker can do to help with my decision. If & when I get one I want the Maker 3. Thanks for a great video.
I have an older cricut. I've never checked the prices of a glowforge, the glowforge seemed simpler. If you wanted to make a floral design around the plate would the glowforge do that since it is slanted? I'm sure the glowforge would be great but, with the size limitations and price, I think I'd stick with the cricut. 😁
I have both and have yet to use either one. I've had one health issue after another this past year. I hadn't even thought about etching or engraving glass but I will be as soon as I can after seeing this. Can you etch tile as well?
I love the glowforge engrave but cricut/armpit etch looks good too

I think I like the Glowforge look, but the Cricut price.
I still prefer an air eraser or sand blaster for etching glass. The fact glowforge makes you pay extra for such a basic feature definitely makes me want one even less. Still the biggest thing stopping me from getting one is the fact you have to have an internet connection to use it. If my internet is out I can't work and what happens when or if they go out of business?

Put a dark piece of paper or a color paper so that you can see the etching.. we can hardly see it on the white top table.
Glow forge hands down. But …it really depends on the person who is using it and why. A glow forge is a must have for people in business doing this sort of stuff. Where as the cricket is really for people crafting at home in small scale.

Both are nice. I wonder if the etching cream can be tinted with something to make it darker?
You can make it darker by using Rub N Buff. Although it's not dishwasher safe.
The glowforge is clearer and stands out better that the etching. However there are things you can do that will make the etching stand out more as well. I would love to have a glowforge but I really cannot justify the cost plus I have no room for it lol The cricut will have to do...

Actually the Glowforge did a much better look than the Cricut. However the Cricut did pretty well. Due to the cost of the Glowforge I’d have to do the Cricut etching way.

We had a storm in South Carolina. Rip tin roof off my shop.we nickel size hail. Broken tables outside. My sister cement table broke it. on my trailer tore the trim off. I glad I did not get hurt.
