Hi Fiddlehead, I just answered my question. Wildwood Flower that you are teaching us is in the key of D. So to play my other instruments that I have the sheet music in the key of C in I have to transpose the song into the key of D to play it so I am in the same key on all instruments.
Would you share how you did that? Id like to play it in the key of C also
Have you ever, or would you please play Frauline on the fiddle? I would like to see how it sounds on a fiddle. Thanks.

Is the basic fiddle version of Wildwood Flower in the Key of C? You have us practice the D scale, but it looks like it is in the key of C.
This is in D. Notice the F# I start with. The tune ends on a D.

I think the word "amelita" (which isn't a real word or any name of a flower) was mangled and was originally "Ipomoea" which is a blue Morning Glory...which makes the most sense since the next prase mentions blue eyes.
