My in laws are devotees of ganapati sachidananda swamiji, my daughters name cermony is done by swamiji, name is also choosen by him, i always respected him but i never followed him blindly, i learnt bhagavat gita from there ashram online, my laws used to donate a lot of money, but, they never force and take donation, they feed everyone in ashram, you can stay in the ashram, as many days as you want, the Ashram is well maintained and peaceful, i learnt meditation and yoga from many ashrams, i donated a little bit, for services taken from them i always tell people, please use your budhi while making donations and becoming a volunteer, i and my daughter has leart bhagavat gita and yoga, from there volunteers, we feel peaceful when we visit, but we never followed blindly, dont blame anyone, use your budhi, thats it, learn and take whatever is good and usefull from any swamiji, make thatmuch donation, for which you can afford and for sevices taken, take knowledge, volunteer in your free time, dont leave your profession and join there.

As a follower or Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji for nearly 20 years, I can only say that I pity the people here who don't understand the greatness of Sri Swamiji. He has impacted millions of lives in ways that cannot be counted nor easily explained. A life is too big for words. If you really want to investigate Sri Swamiji, investigate his life changing, soul stirring, compositions that number in the thousands. There is not one person I can name in all of history who has composed so many bhajans, kirtans, and so on. Those who see these kinds of propaganda media, do your own research, visit the ashrama, see the amazing works being done, and talk to devotees whose lives have been changed forever by this mahatma. Don't just comment nonsense based on your own preconceived notions and biases. In any field there will be 1000 claimants, and 1 genuine article. I am certain that our Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji is that genuine article. Those who miss out on His works, are truly the most unfortunate, and I pity them truly.
There will always be people who slander, lie, and abuse those who are genuinely here on this earth doing good things, because they themselves cannot believe that such a person can exist. They are too close minded, too full of darkness due to their own karma, to recognize the light. Yet, the light unassumingly and quietly goes on giving light, even amidst all the darkness in the world, and the darkness has not put it out.
As someone else has commented previously, Appaji means father, and we all consider Him like our father. Many children even refer to Him as thathaji, which means grandfather. How deeply must he have affected all of us in our personal lives that we see our own revered father and grandfather in Him? If you are truly unfortunate not to have become acquainted with Sri Swamiji, I suggest you hear His music for yourself. There is no greater proof than your own personal experience. This experience does not come in a flash or in a few minutes. It takes years to understand and to change from within. When that personal transformation occurs within you, then you will understand the significance of your association with Sri Swamiji. Making silly judgments on the basis of superficial standards using your flawed and biased ego will only lead to wrong conclusions.
You must come, participate, and experience and then you will see the change in you - not only in you, but in your family, in your children, in your life, in your career, and in every aspect of your existence. Then you will understand, and you will not have words to explain what has changed, but you will know that something has undoubtedly changed. The change is so great that you will be amazed looking back at your own life.

sir i will say my own experience, i am doing music based on carnatic classical melakarta ragas,one day i started to compose the tune for the gurvastaka which has composed by the guru adi shankaracharya,that same guruastaka is sung by my guru sri sachidananda swamiji,before listen to the swamiji version i feeled my composition is good ,but whenever after listening of swamiji version i decided clearly, i never reach swamiji &his composition sir really he is i dnt have any words to say..thanku sir

I have gone to this swamiji's asram in Mysore. i have stayed there. i know the business he is making. after observing very closely only i realised that he is just like anyone else who wants some fame and name and make money out of spirituality. If anyone observe things keenly, then they will realise the truth, that he is only a businessman, who knows many tricks on how to influence people. Search for truth, not for swamijis.
