Cobra 26 First Project - Testing a Cobra 26

This is my first project with the Cobra 26 sewing machine from The Leather Machine Company. I will start with some easier projects to get comfortable with this new sewing machine. The Cobra 26 is a powerful sewing machine. While the Cobra 26 will sew leather up to 7/16” thick I am starting with a project that constructed from much thinner.
I have been really impressed with the solid feel of The Leather Machine Company Cobra 26. I have been really surprised with the ease of use and other than a few stitches during two leather trade shows. I have never used a sewing machine of any kind. The servo motor allows precise stitching control that helps build confidence. The Cobra 26 is a cylinder arm sewing machine that makes sewing projects like bags and totes easier. I did purchase a flat table extension to make the Cobra 26 work as a flat table sewing machine.

I was wondering have you ever worked with fur , ive ben trying to find someone that could sew leather beaver pelts into a vest .

I have not. Do you ever watch Chris in the woodyard? He traps beaver and they have someone that sews them into hats. Maybe he could help.
