When I first searched for your patterns I thought they were too expensive but now I see how much work and effort you put in I am excited to say I will be purchasing the Daisy pattern. I’m new at sewing and have decided to make, repurpose and recycle as much of my clothes for the coming year. I have a few to take in as I have lost weight and intend to lose at least 36 more pounds.
I'm Australian so have no idea how "big" pounds are, but if that's at least a couple dress sizes, you could take apart the clothing, and cut out a completely new pattern from the fabric 😊
We recently moved to usa from tassie to care for my MIL. Im so homesick though. When I stumbled accross your channel I felt so comforted hearing your aussie accent. And then you say you're from tassie!!! Im subscribing ❤
I'm very impressed with the attention to detail and everything you put in, all done by you, including the illustrations. I have illustrated fashion all my life as a hobby, and studies fashion design, so I can appreciate everything that goes into just one garment. That feeling of accomplishment would certainly keep you going. Well done!
Janelle, you need a paper creaser, or a folding bone (they aren’t actual bone anymore). They kind of vaguely resemble a tongue depressor. You just run it along the fold after you get it in place and you get a beautiful sharp flat crease. Also good for easing out smooched corners where folds are folded over folds. Takes a minute longer, but you get a super flat and crisp result. Your new dress pattern is gorgeous! Looking forward to grabbing that one. A visit to Tazzy when the kids were little was the first place i ever saw an echidna in the wild. I think it was sort of near Zeehan from memory. Now we have a little family of them living on our property! It’s such a treat to see one.
Does your printer offer to mechanically fold the patterns for you? It may add a little cost to the pattern, but I’m sure it would be so worth it to you and your back! I always love your videos and the beautiful and quality details you add to your products. Your branding is just lovely!
Always enjoy your videos! So fun to see what new projects you have going and wow, I had never really thought of all that was involved in putting together a pattern. I also love going walking with you.
By the way, I also love your music and find myself humming it from time to time. One thing I love about your videos, also, is that you are always wearing one of your creations. Wonderful!
Thank you for sharing the behind the scenes of the Daisy pattern with us, can't wait to try it 😊 Also the unbothered echidna at the end is a whole mood 😂
You’re an amazing creator. Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes- never realised how much work is involved in creating your beats patterns. None of this is boring. 🎉🎉🎉
I had promised to myself to stop buying fabrics and patterns until 2022 after breaking the bank for sewing in November... But I can definitely justify getting my hands on Daisy as an Xmas pressie from me to me 😅🥰🌼
Thank you for sharing this behind the scenes with us! So much love and thought goes into every detail of your patterns. You should be so proud of this beautiful business that you've built! I can't wait to make this cute sundress:)
Love watching your behind the brand videos and seeing what goes into making a sewing pattern. Can't wait to make several Daisy dresses for myself! That echidna was such a little cutie, couldn't care less about you filming 😂😍
I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to watch all your videos and leave comments. Love the old-worldy attention to detail and the whole one woman show behind this brand. I'm going to buy it as soon as it comes out. It's really cold in Germany right now so no chance of wearing something like this anytime soon but it won't stop me from planning. I can see it working well with some handlooms from India.
I just saw an echidna on mum's property last weekend. I never get tired of their spiky cuddliness. You have done excellent work on this project. It all looks so crisp and beautiful. Thank you for sharing 😊
Awwww I love the echidna and it's waddle waddle. Awesome video as per usual.. you never disappoint. LOVE the Daisy! I really love the colour schemes you choose!
I’m starting your Willow dress tomorrow! I just cut out all the pattern pieces. I’m excited to make all your patterns and the daisy pattern looks lovely as well!
I’m so excited to try the Daisy pattern when it comes out! Thank you for all your hard work Janelle! Your patterns and free sleeve variations have made my sewing journey so much fun 🤩 👗 🧵
It is a lot of work! The Daisy dress with the Eucaliptus floral fabric is really pretty! I think it could be the first dress that encourages me to sew :)
Thanks for sharing your behind the brand video! It’s interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes. It’s clear that there’s a lot of love and passion that goes into what you do. Apologies if this has already been done, but would you consider shooting a video to explain your sewing history? I’m a beginner sewist, having started in 2018 and thinking about if/how I could make it a livelihood. Thanks very much for sharing your craft. Very inspiring! 🌸
A wonderful addition to your collection! Also, thank you for showing the echidna. Not only because it's cute, but now I know how to pronounce that word!
This video was perfect timing! I'm just finishing off a gathered dress, similar to Rosa but I modified a vintage pattern my mum already had. It even has pockets, thanks to your free template! I found a fun Grinch Christmas print cotton at Spotlight and I need to finish it for our Christmas concert tomorrow at my school. I'm pretty excited for the Daisy pattern, I've been looking for a button front dress like this for a while ❤️
Love the new pattern, I was literally looking for a pattern this week but just couldn't find the perfect one, daisy could be that one. Will definitely be ordering a copy once for spring time
Bravo pour tout ce travail !!! Cette robe est superbe et me rappelle une robe de mes jeunes années... robe que j'ai adoré et que j'adorerai encore porter... A Bientôt, Cécile de Bordeaux (France)
You have been very busy! Daisy is timeless ♥ The creator of another channel I follow has just discovered your channel. She's a scrunchie maker (Made by Taylah Rose) loves your gingham and shirred dresses. I've encouraged her to give one of your dresses a try when she's got some time. She's flat out at the moment satisfying orders and keeping her market stall stocked. As always, i am inspired by the number of young woman carving careers for themselves doing what they love! Best wishes, Simone PS: can never have too much echidna footage. I always feel blessed when I see one when out and about.
Ooh I’ll have to check out her channel! There really are so many possibilities in this day and age, and it’s so exciting to see 😍 Spotting echidnas never gets old, and I’ve been lucky enough to see three while walking over the last couple of months! x
Yay I’m glad you’re excited! Buttonholes are easy! I bought 2.5 metres of the fabric and ended up having a little left over (I made size 8). I wasn’t able to use the pretty decorative edge in my dress though as I thought it would confuse people in the instruction video, but I bought the caramel version too and I can’t wait to make something special with the embroidered edges of that one 😍
Oh my gosh!! This dress is my perfect dress, amazing name (a middle name of mine), style is uh-mazing! and the colour of the envelope!! Uncanny because I've got a similar dress in a smidge lighter green hahah

Hi there! When purchasing a pattern digitally, you will receive the pattern as a document to print yourself. My digital patterns come with a ‘tiled’ document that you can print and home and the piece together, as well as a large format document that you can get printed at your local copy shop (this option is a lot easier and less time intensive 😅). I hope this helps!
Such a lovely dress! Do you think you will be doing the sawing kits later, or not at all, for this pattern? Also, would you say it's okay for beginners or is it more advanced? Hope you have a lovely day, Janelle! 😊
Maybe! It really depends if I can source the fabric though. As for the pattern, I would say it is easy-medium difficulty level. The buttonholes can be a little tricky for a beginner at first, but by the time you make this dress you’ll be a pro! I’ll be sharing the instruction video on Sunday too so you’ll be able to check whether it’s doable for you 😊
After taping 40 pages together for one camisole pattern, I really appreciate the copy shop size.
It is a lot of work putting those pages together isn't it? Takes alot of tape and patience.
When I first searched for your patterns I thought they were too expensive but now I see how much work and effort you put in I am excited to say I will be purchasing the Daisy pattern. Great job Janelle! You are so dedicated to your business. ☺️

Thanks lovely! It’s a lot of work, but I genuinely enjoy the entire process and it is really satisfying to see it all come together at the end 😊 x
I have a lot of respect for those who do this as a home business.

What a treat! A mid week video!! 🥰 Thank you! X
Thanks Deb! I’m glad you’re happy to see a bonus video! x
Oooooooh, that view A in that broderie anglaise fabric. I need it in my life so bad, holy moly I love it.
Isn’t it amazing! I could not be happier with how that dress turned out 😍
That is abeautiful dress! I love how the way the dress falls out encloses the button line. So nice!
Always enjoy your videos! So fun to see what new projects you have going and wow, I had never really thought of all that was involved in putting together a pattern. I also love going walking with you.
The lined sleeveless version looks like it’d be SO good for layering
Totally!! 😍

Loved the peek into pattern designer world. And the echidna was great bonus!

Thumbs up for the echidna!

Wow can't wait, button holes scare me, and so excited I got that beautiful broderly angalise material hope I got enough fabric (2.5mtrs)?

Appreciate the echidna footage :D

The digital patterns come with an A0 option 😊

Thend was adorable
I dont know if you know this, but there is a symmetry tool in procreate if you ever need it for your pattern drawings
Love your video!
Thank you 🧡
Here 😊
Me completely unaware of what day it is:
Janelle: “available December 5th, just a couple days away”
Me: *realizing tomorrow is December*😳
It’s crazy isn’t it! Where has this year gone?December 1 here, the tree just went up 😍
Extra video 😍😍
I hope it was a nice surprise 😊
Hi Jannelle (hope i spelled correctly). I have a question about the patterns for printing, as i want to buy a few. They are all in A4, this is not a regular size of paper in my country we have legal size and letter. can the pattern printing size be changed let's say to letter (21.6 x 27.9) size without affecting it to much, or should i go to legal ( 21.6 x 35.6) to be on the safe side. appreciatte the help :).
Wauw i have never seen that animal before 🤭😊
How did you learn how to draw the illustrations for your pattern instructions? I'm releasing my own pattern very soon and I think the illustrations look a lot better than just picture instructions. I'm wondering do you keep all the clothes you make?
Yep! I don’t really buy clothes, so what I make is what I have. Like anyone, when I no longer wear something I’ll donate it or give it to a friend 😊
How do you test your patterns? Do you have people you go to with rough drafts?
Such a lovely dress! Do you think you will be doing the sawing kits later, or not at all, for this pattern? Also, would you say it's okay for beginners or is it more advanced? Hope you have a lovely day, Janelle! 😊
Maybe! It really depends if I can source the fabric though. As for the pattern, I would say it is easy-medium difficulty level. The buttonholes can be a little tricky for a beginner at first, but by the time you make this dress you’ll be a pro! I’ll be sharing the instruction video on Sunday too so you’ll be able to check whether it’s doable for you 😊
Hi Janelle, is the Daisy pattern bodice compatible with other types of sleeves you carry in the Rosery Apparel patterns ? 🙂
Yes totally! You can mix and match the sleeves for all of my patterns 😊
Fabulous video Janelle! I’m exhausted! I have an off topic question: what is the lovely lipstick you are wearing? #lipsticklover 💄💄💄
I wear only wear one shade because I’m obsessed, and it’s Mac ‘velvet teddy’ 😊
Divine! Straight to MAC counter…..!
You are my idol! Do you ever make a mistake, lol? I haven't seen you make one yet.
Yep lots of mistakes all the time! 😂
