Killing it Q! Gwent depends on your consistency and top tier marketing skills. It's the players like you who show what can be done with the game and how it can be fun! You can't force this! 🤙🏻
The most diverse card game when it comes to competitive deck variability and it's dying, it's truly sad (not that other online card games are doing particularly well, even MTG is having issues). I'm not even a fan of the genre but gwent is just really pleasant to play, has actual lore stuff in it and really nice vibe...
And if we look even further back in time, Eithné Spellatael in beta was very different to this and strong too. Dol Blathanna sentries were boosted in your hand and deck every time you played a special card, you could play things like double alzur's thunder with Ithlinne, you could use the quen bronze card on the sentries, (not in the game still, only Geralt: Quen is) and your leader Eithné allowed things like double scorch or the old and stronger commander's horn for a big finisher.
It's amazing how efficient Elven Scribe, Seer, and Pact are. You end up with 26p spread across six cards that all told are worth at least 52 points just from themselves, and you're fueling your other cards in the process. So tasty.
This is one of my favourite decks of all time and probably one of the most versatile in terms of deck building. I love that it’s not built around an archetype or a pre-selected group of cards that come as a package. Your cards benefit from playing specials or spells and it’s as simple as that. Throw in some other cards you fancy, a bit of RNG and you’re in for a good time…. until you come against the latest control heavy, boring meta deck that is.
I've made an updated precision strike list with the new Heist card. I feel since alot of cards in that list have a deploy ability some of them really powerful (Zoltan:Warrior, Vanadain) it can work quite well. Though I feel it lacks points when I play against non engine decks. Would you like to make your own spin on it? Maybe you'll be able to make it work better. Update: Swapped some cards and included Gord. I've met this exact spellatael list in my last match and didn't let them develop any board space.
Lovely deck. My biggest gripe is and has always been GN compass. Now with the new rain package they get Kraken with an all 9 provision deck via compass. 🤮Remember when Gord didn't have a limit? This truly is an OG deck. 👏
I keep coming up across these decks a few times each season, and I'm always impressed by them, but could never quite figure out what would work well. Well... Now I know :P
I've never stopped playing this deck. I wish Gord was unnerfed though.. There are so many crazy decks today I don't think it'd even be that crazy. I play both Alzur and Francesca but no Mushy is the cut for me + some other differences. For instance, I only play 1 Whisperer because if they can answer it, 2 is often too much but if they can't 1 is more than enough I found. Saov is great with Francesca and often catches people off guard with hoe much carryover it brings. Good players will count on it of course, but they still have to factor them in.. and sometimes the 3 power tokens can easily eat up some damage but they'll come right back of course.
I played around 20 games with this deck, it feels fun. But I see it is weak vs NG (as always) cuz except for the defender, there is no safe setup for my cards. If they have good deck control, you simply send your cards to death. It is a combo-based deck, not hard vs control decks. On the other hand if does not have enough boost to compete with greedy deck, am I wrong? :)
I feel almost bad for the NG player in the first game. Getting a Mushy Truffle with no Bonded unit to play off of the Angoulem (so only 9 points) and a 5 point Forge from Francesca creates such a waste of provisions. Although it's their own fault - with how popular Truffle is I can't fathom playing Angoulem and not running even one copy of Illusionist.
Someone has to build something moderately competitive in the Spella'tel universe including Sihil, Pendant & Blizzard. Oh, wait, no... that would be a meme, it can't be competitive...
I’m surprised this deck performs well given it’s not using any of the new strong cards. What happened? I’ve used this months ago when it was still competitive.
I see why you deleted the other vid from a kind of ethical standpoint, but I think you should’ve left it up personally. Was a pretty cool deck, even though GN is boring, but you’d put time and effort into creating the deck and the video both of which were entertaining. Decks like this one you uploaded today are definitely way more interesting, nice to see something very off-meta. However, don’t negate your own work, particularly when you’ve put all that time in!
Never mind, just heard what you said :( I wish you hadn't! I'm loving playing rain deck this update. Could you maybe make a new one without golden nekker? I've not used a golden nekker rain deck yet and have had loads of success - there is lots of variety and fun to have with it.
nilfgaard it's a faction for frustrated people who live on anti-gaming, but anyway, the first game of this video proves that nilfggard doesn't love this deck that much
Would you tag the videos that are 80+% just silent video game footage? It's totally up to you whether you want to create that content or not, but it feels like a bait-and-switch to come in expecting actual gameplay content and then to just see some sterile recording.
I rarely do no comms but whenever I do I say "x games for reference" instead of "x games with live commentary for reference" in the description as well as I mention it in the last few seconds of the intro to confirm once I've explained the deck. In this specific video I stayed up all night trying different versions of the deck and was feeling a little burnt when the sun came up.
Yoo this takes me back in time, thanks for the nostalgia!

This is what I wanted. Keep more off meta/creative decks coming :)

Orb‘s are some of my most beloved card’s in Gwent. Is so much fun when it works. 👍😍

Alzur ST deck? A surpise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Spellatel, Years since I've heard that, absolutely brilliant! Is there a reason why there is no commentary though?
Yeeeaah man, I didn't watched yet but I'm playing this deck too and it's my favorite till now

There are soooo many super-boosty cards that could do with the Gord treatment.
15:29 Q is always so lucky :D
The curse continues. 😔
@@Qcento Keep it up I love your videos!

Great work Q - cheers from Switzerland! 😊
Oh, my. I haven't watched it yet, but it really sounds promising.
Awesome deck, love the creativity
this is some OG, lowkey viable, lowkey meme deck. love it
Fuck yeah Q! I miss this deck so much. It's so fun to play.
That first round Alzur got so unlucky lol

Wow, that first opponent was quite pepega - Assimilate in good hands should shred this Alzur deck.
Nice, I really like the archetype
Can we fit some Iron Falcon Troubadours and another Mahakam Ale?
Could but the bronze end is pretty tight since we're running minimum units.
Ah yes... the memories:)
certified hood classic

I just played against this but my GN rain deck beat it the guy rage quieted at the end i cold have gone up to 200 point's...shame😞

Nice deck
Nice👍
Wahts the soundtrack first game
I figure that miners are better for this deck as they can get alot of your payoff to stick, the vitality driads are just worse at that job
We need bonded units for Mushy Truffle as Truffle proc can be essential for starting the orb volley.
@@Qcento oh, didnt see that i was watching mid game and remembered the old symbiosis list that had miners. I love your videos btw, great job
WHOOPS WRONG LOCK! lol me every game...
What happened to your rain deck video you uploaded the other day?

deck is fun but require a lot of skill and inconsistent . Thanks for nostalgia but I won't recommend for most players to use it
I thought your Rain video was good.
