This would be great for emergency applications in remote areas where jump starts are not an option. May take a few tries to get the engine going, but better than nothing.
And the video show the problem with these starters also, often they do not crank long or hard enough to get engine started and it takes to long reloading for a new try (making it harder to start)... This only works on engines that start easily, if you have any kind of starting problems you end up never getting started while with a electric or air start you just run the starter a little longer until it starts if it does not start right away.
@@arunck5779 Think again, if you mount the starter on the other side, the text would be correct, but the starting handles would be downwards and not useable, so still wrong.
@@arunck5779 The solution you tell will leave the handle up agains the motor, so how will you be able to operate it???? and Question: how many engines have the starter sitting in front of the engine when looking at it from the front of the engine bay... aah not so many, so this starter is completely useless on 95 % of all applications.

In other words, won't work on a cold Diesel Engine
It could if is an indirect injection engine or a bulb engine
Got a detroit 20v149 that's lost its prime 🤣🤣🤣
How dare you
ahahahaha no chance
There is not enough room on my truck to place the crank. BTW, they used this same system on lawn mowers several years ago.
If the shaft was longer could you get to it through the wheelwell
I wonder if it would work on an aircraft engine as an option for older planes without electronics?
Very great 👍👍👍 making the handle spring starter brother
Cool! Greetings from germany
Very good...can use if the battery stater is not power anymore...👌🏻💪
thank you
Will dis work on muh Ferd 7.3L Powerstroke? Plz halp!!! god bless....
Probly but youd have to get under it to crank it..
Yes but drill a hole in yer fender & get the delux longer drive shaft so u don't have to climb under it to crank it 900 times on a cold winter morning
You should say "Gods bless" to these guys.
You'll be tired.
Some military vehicles have this starter.

@@Deutsche_1 no, starting handle remain the same position, the pinion will be on the right side and handle will be on the left side ,

Primitive technology
There is places it could be used. I wonder how often it would have to be rebuilt.
