That said, there are a few lures out there that you should own no matter where you live or what you fish for. This is one of those lures! Available in numerous sizes and colors, this lure can catch just about anything that swims!
    What lure am I talking about? The Rapala Original Floating Jerkbait!
    Buy This Lure Here: discounttackle...

    Personally, I am a huge fan of companies that are the original. Rapala is one of those companies. I have so much respect for being innovative and bringing something new and unique to the market. That is why I will always respect companies like Rapala! There are a lot of other fancy jerkbaits out there these days but I truly think that this absolute classic will still out-produce most of them. That is why I will always have a few of these in my box.

    Great lures! Found for an easier catch and release, switching out the treble hooks with the appropriately sized siwash hooks helps a ton. Thanks for the fun videos. 🍻

    Confession...don't think I have ever fished it in 40 years of fishing. It looked like a lot of fun out there. It's always a rush when they lock you down in the grass and you haven't seen them yet. 2-pound test on the ultra-light certainly increases the challenge.

    I love Rapala and their lures are very nostalgic to me, as they are some of the very first crankbait/jerkbait style lures I ever used. And for sure, they just straight up work and are very well made. The jointed floating minnow was my absolute fav and I've caught more bass on it that I can count. I have a few of the Rapala original jerkbaits, and though i don't throw them as much as I used to, I almost always have one with me when fishing from the bank or the yak. A fun trip out on the water Ethan and a job well done by the Rapala Floating Jerkbait 😀

    I am a huge fan of the little minnows, especially after my recent trip to Texas! I use the Rebel Minnows, but whatever people have confidence in is going to be best for them. This lake in Texas had shad and was actually really hard to fish so I started whippn the little 2 incher rebel and I caught a Channel Cat on the surface, a Blue Cat trolling, some massive Sunfish, and some little bass. Absolutely love em and a great reminder of how good minnows cranks are as a bait. Huge fan Ethan love the content, been a subscriber for about 2 years now!

    Thanks for the video. The donkey is kickin tail and getting smashed down in Austin Texas. Threw a rapala today in honor of this vid. Then gracefully transferred back to the DTjr.
    Im really curious to know why you opt for the Revros on most vids when you own a Tatula. There's about a $150 difference. I dont own either but thanks to your vids I'll be buying the Revros first. Id love to see a reel comparison but even if you don't do one it's easy to see which gets the most use. Thanks for being you!

      Thank you Eric! I am so happy the gear is working well for you! And to tell you the truth, I love my Tatula more but I also still appreciate budget gear and have no issues with using this reel instead. Usually I use this one because it’s spooled with my 2lb mono and on a bit more versatile rod. I like the Tatula / Dobyns combo for slightly heavier jigs 🤠

    I have one of those, had it forever. I was recently using another floater like that called the Mystic Floater (made by Rebel I think), doing some creek fishing with my UL. I've also had that lure for years and years, caught a lot of fish on it. And I lost it in a tree... I was _super_ sad. Recently I picked up a Strike King Bitsy Minnow ultralight crankbait and that thing destroys the panfish and small bass.

    Hey! I'm a recent sub! What kind of line do you recommend on a micro set up? Mono like you have in the video? From your experience would mono be good for most things? Also what brand mono do you use?

    • @FishAnything
      @FishAnything  2 роки тому

      Hey there Yue! I definitely think Trilene Sensation is one of the best I have found. I would recommend 2lb test if you feel comfortable with your drag and don't fish for a ton of giant fish. Otherwise, 4lb test is also a great option. I started with 4 and worked my way down to 2lb. The reason I really like the 2lb is because you can cast a lot further with tiny lures and it is thinner which gives you lures more motion underwater. Tight lines!
