When Hugo replaced Forest, I had my concerns over the writing part. No longer. Hugo is not only technical enough to keep up with what Forest wrote, he writes just as well thought out lines. What I've heard so far, this will be a killer album.
I kind of miss Forest, I'm a left handed guitar player so I liked them having a left handed bass player. The new guy is still pretty good though, if I didn't know Forest left I might not have known the difference. Forest's new band is kind of wierd.
In The Inversion I think they brought king of a post metal guitar pattern in a segment towards the end. When the bassist say that the album will have influences not heard on previous albums, I think we just can expect this; post metal, very jazzy parts, very classical influenced parts and maybe djent parts and black metal too. I'm very happy that seems to try different approaches and compositions. I'd like if they do more musical balance between the soft and heavy parts, slow the tempo and be more musical. For example, the video Alorythm has a very very soulful solo towards the end which contrast with the very technical 1000000 notes solo they usualy do. Vraiment hâte d'écouter l'album au complet!
somehow I think b eyond creation go into obscura direction... more soulfelt, more progressive influences, less death metal influence, excited how this will turn out, especially since I didn't like the last OBscura records as much as the first ones... The released singles so far are solid and kinda Beyond Creation by the books, so I'm eager to see what "news" we will have...
for me they are going to get a place in the Death/Controle Denied, Atheist, Cynic thing. another good band you can check out (it's a total insider...) Sadist - enslaver of lies ;)
beceause they are franco-canadian and I believe they simply like it more to speak in french... I think that's the natural language for them and just comes off easier.

Hugo is like in is mid 20s forest in his 40s so the experience is not the same and for hugo to do that in is 20s is hard and cool

@@triptychlux large parts of Canada are french-speaking, with their own rather distinct dialect. It's a remnant of the colonization period.
They're from Quebec, which is pretty much 100% french speaking except from some parts of Montreal's island.
