We have just three days left to raise money for this project which will do so much not just our great capital, London, but UK-wide for artists, musicians, and gig-goers, from those who are passionate to those who are curious. Please help us to make it happen.
We are so touched that truly great artists like Gerry Diver and Lisa Knapp, are as passionate about the value of The Sound Lounge as us, so much so that they sent us this. Thank you Gerry and Lisa. Please read about both below:
Gerry Diver is a producer, multi-instrumentalist and composer who has collaborated with too many artists to list, but a handful include Tom Robinson, Damon Albarn, Christy Moore and Billy Bragg. He has produced award-winning albums and composes for BBC drama and screen and BBC Radio 3 commissions. Gerry Diver's album 'The Speech Project' was described by The Guardian as "an extraordinary, groundbreaking album".
Lisa Knapp is an BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner and has performed alongside Robert Plant and Bernard Butler. Lisa's album 'A Hidden Seam' was given a 5 STAR review by The Observer and described as "a masterful creation". (Following acclaim from that album, Lisa was invited to guest present a documentary for BBC Radio 4). Her most recent release 'Till April Is Dead' was described by The Guardian as “an album overflowing with warmth, light and waywardness”, and had Mojo Magazine insisting that “Knapp and Diver deliver ancient tradition with respect and beauty.”
