I did a no sub weapons Richter run years ago because I wanted to keep a cool Flame Whip, it took me half the game to realize that it didn't actually do anything.
The best game on N64 was Eternal Darkness. I'm still salty it never got a sequel or a remake.

I think the Greatest Hits version of SOTN allows the analog mode. Or at least it doesn't disable the controller. I could be wrong, but that's the version I had and hopefully I'm not Mandela Effecting myself lol

12 people owned a gamecube? What crack are you smoking my dude, every kid growing up when I was like 10 had either a gamecube or a nintendo DS. Sure not a single fucking adult bought it and went for a PS2 like my dad did but I was the odd one with a PS2 despite it basically having a better library. My point is, us kids were like the only thing that kept nintendo from bankruptcy during those years. I knew one other kid my age who had a PS2 and played a lot of tony hawk.
P.S God the saga whatever the fuck sucked, my dad had one and I don't even know if he still has it in his collection of old consoles anymore. We like never played on that thing except maybe once, if we want to talk about consoles that no one bought, how about a gianatic ass controller that made the N64 controller look like a dualshock.
Side note: Kids didn't just play fucking crash bandicoot. If you had good tastes as a kid, you played kingdom hearts 1 and 2, they're insanely fun and aged well, I've played them before a few years ago. And also the lego games, my god those have aged wonderfully.
