Chuck, I live in the same city as you do. I'm a certified Vegan Chef. If you need any help with the cooking demonstrations, let me know. I'd be happy to help you out. You are doing a great job for the community.👍
Chuck! Glad to see you're back. Your speech is essentially back to normal. You look and sound great. I find your recipes to be easy to follow, always come out good, and I find I go back to your recipes more than anyone else I follow. Love the product reviews and I'll be joining your communities because I strayed off the path during the holidays and I don't feel the best. Time to get back to health. Thank you!
I bought the EZ tofu press on Amazon. I love it. I just put it on a plate and the liquid drains away from the tofu brick. Just tighten the two big screws every 5-10 or more minutes to get the firmness you want. I can get the tofu to 1.5-2 inches in width. Easy to clean. I can control the firmness!
Anyone interested really should join us on the new space. I’m not even vegan but working to be more plant based and there’s no judgement - just support, assistance, and fun.
I waited a long time to get a tofu press. Used the cast iron pan filled with cans or books or cutting board with heavy books piled on top method. Sometimes there would be a big crash in the kitchen as the tofu shifted and things got slanted and woops! So worth the investment of a press if you eat tofu regularly. Nice to see you back. I've made some of your recipes and have enjoyed them.
Chuck, thank you So Much! Just understanding the concept of pressing the water out of the tofu has made me less fearful of trying to do this myself! This was excellent! ❤
I often make my own non soy tofu. But even regular tofu, I take and cut it like you. After pressing the tofu I use a steak tendeizor, the utensil that pokes small holes. Pop back into the tofu press, pour marinade over it and lightly press this adds a ton of flavor, I do this with portabella mushrooms too!
Chuck, I love your "show and tell" idea! I really enjoyed this video and your setup, background, sound, etc. all look (and sound) great! I look forward to seeing more videos even though I'm going on nine years as a vegan, it's fun and informative to see your fresh ideas! 👍🥬🌶🍆🍅
Hey Chuck! Thank you for the tofu demonstration. I’ve never had tofu. I really didn’t know what it is, or how to cook/prepare it. The tofu press looks like it would be easy to operate. Again thank you.
Great demo! I bought one and am looking forward to trying it out. My old press was hard to use, but I never realized it until watching your demo. Keep them coming!
Mary's test kitchen made a pumpkin seed tofu. No coagulant needed. It Toasted up nice in the air fryer/oven. It had a nice taste to it. I tried it myself
I would have loved the marinade recipe but didn’t locate it. Thanks for the tofu press review. I bought it and this will be my first tofu adventure - LaOL
Using the kettle bell is funny, but keeping it on the counter is hilarious. I would probably do the same if I had one this size. But my 40-pounder might be a bit too much...
I have used 2 cutting boards for years and wanted to try something different! It's definitely less messy and will save on paper towels!

I have a tofu press very similar to yours and love it. Marinating in a jar is brilliant. Thank you for that idea.
You are so welcome!
Thanks for the demo! I love tofu but the press I have seems more difficult to use than this one. May need to purchase. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Really great demonstration of how to prepare tofu. I like how you went through all the steps and showed how easy it is to do.
Thank you so much

So nice to see you again, Chuck! I like my little green and white ToFuture press I got on Amazon.. great idea to marinate in a Mason jar.

I used a cutting board and my instant pot as a weight for years 😂 i finally splurged on a tofu press and I love it!
Great video, Chuck! I just ordered Tofu Bud. Thanks for the demo!
Hope you enjoy it!

You can do it!

The basics are super important, thanks for this!
You're so welcome!

Nice. Personally, when I hear the word TOFU I think of soybeans though, not pumpkin seeds.
Love your old way for those of us who seldom use tofu. But the press would be great👍🏼, thx for sharing
Good ideas that I'm putting to work in my vegan kitchen. Thanks Chuck !
Thank you! I may try tofu now!
