Great review! I race with 4 different pairs of shoes: Vaporfly 2, Vaporfly 3, Alphafly 1 and Endorphin Pro 3. I have to say Pro 3 is the least favourite shoe of them all. I will probably retire them from racing. This April I ran 1.16 HM with VF2 and last weekend I ran 1.17 HM with Pro 3. Only 1 minute difference but VF2 felt much faster than Pro 3. The Pro 3 is soft and comfortable shoe but I have to work a lot harder and it feels quite ”slow”. Vaporfly feels much bouncier and I can feel a lot of energy return. It really pushes me forward. I will probably use Vaporfly 3 for Chicago (A race) and New York (B race). I might even use Vaporfly 2 for Chicago.
Hey thanks for sharing your experience with some of the top tier racing shoes out there. I get what you are saying for sure. Have fun as you start your new training block (if you haven't already) for Chicago and New York. I will be at both of them so maybe I will see you there! Have a great day and stay safe.
I love these Saucony E pro 3! I put aside my Nike Vaporfly 2 and just use my Pro 3, for me they feel more comfortable and when i feel that i feel i can run faster!
That’s great to hear. I’m glad they are working so well for you. I’m looking forward to putting in a lot more miles in them this summer. Have a great day!
Hey Tim, I have the same shoe and it’s just starting to warm up here in the UK and they still feel very breathable I have enjoyed running in them with a nice roll through my stride. Good luck with your Marathon training. 👍
Thanks Steve. I appreciate it. I hope all is going well for you there in the UK! It's good to hear they are still breathable in warmer weather. It's 31 degrees celsius here today. Have a great day and stay safe.
I have the same shoe with the original upper. So, since you are reviewing the version with a different upper you are not really late. I think mine is more suitable for Texas climate and yours is more for Michigan. I really like running in them. In fact, I prefer them over Adios Pro 3. To me Endorphin Pro 3 is like souped up Speed 1/2 while Speed 3 moved a bit more towards daily trainer.
Hi Jean. No problem! I am enjoying the hunt for my next Marathon shoe and its fun to share the journey with you. Are you leaning toward a particular super shoe? Have a great day and stay safe.
@Run Tall with Tim Since super shoes are very pricey, expert reviews like yours are truly appreciated!!! As for me, I am looking for the ones with great arch support for my high arches and also the ones that provide springy energy return. 😉
Hi Tim … great colorway, I like green lol… I didn’t really like my v1s… the plate was too steegh for my foot strike lol I don’t like when my feet are not working enough … i’d like to try the 3s … maybe I’m gonna wait to a discount price when the 4s will come out … i’d like to try the Rocket X2 before. ☀️🇫🇷☀️😉
Hey Francky. I want to try the Rocket X2 also. I liked the Rocket X but I've read really good things about the X2. And, I think that's a great plan to wait a few weeks for the Pro 4 to be released. It's likely to come out sometime next month would be my guess. Have a great day and stay safe!
Hey thanks Al. I appreciate it. I don’t have any merch yet but that is something I’m working on. The hat is one of a kind at this point. I’m going to look around at print shops or maybe a good print on demand company. Have a great day and stay safe!
Nice review Tim. The Endorphin Pro 3 is next on my list. I'm just finishing up with my Atreyu The Artist shoe, which has been really good. Another UA-camr, Matt B Running, Matt Bertrand, just ran Boston in the Endorphin Pro Elite and they performed well for him. Most of the reviews have been positive. The Elite is a little too much shoe for me, maybe when it goes on sale I'll try it. But currently it's too much $$ and I'm just an average runner.
Hey thanks Jordan. I hear you about the dollars. They carry a pretty big price tag. I will have to check out Matt's Boston recap video. I enjoy his channel. I was hoping to catch-up with him in Boston but I had to limit the time on my feet so I didn't get to go everywhere I had planned to prior to the race. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day! Stay safe.
@@brendalogan3784 I know exactly, 346. They have a couple more runs in them, still good, responsive midsole, will go to about 400 miles. Best $100 I ever spent on running shoes, enjoyed every mile in them.
I’m a Saucony guy for sure. Maybe train in the Endorphin Speed 3 & race in the pro 3. Speed has the nylon plate which is a little softer. It might help you get to the starting line healthy. Also a little easier on the wallet.
Saucony sorta quietly released these modified uppers in select colorways recently. Picked up the yellow Kinvara 14 and expected the same breathable mesh upper on the others…nope. Same build as the shoe you got here; same upper and same laces, kinvara tongue. I rly disliked these laces but they sent me a second pair in my box and I switched them out and loved them. Got a pair of pro 3s on their way as of 30 mins ago. Which brought me here 😆.
The Asics Novablast 3 is a good choice as a daily trainer to log lots of miles at an easy marathon pace. On Marathon day, I'd go with the Endorphin Pro 3 over the Novablast 3. I think you'll get more help moving through your gait with the Endorphin Pro 3. Great question. Have a great day and Happy Holidays.
I very much enjoyed your video. Thanks. Question if you can give me some feedback. I'm gonna do my first Olympic Triathlon in 10 months. I've been training hard, mostly biking and have dropped 57lbs now. (I was 255 and now under 200lbs). Running is not my strong point and at 53 years of age with arthritis in both my knees and ankles I'd like your opinion how these shoes would fare on a mostly gravel trail versus blacktop as the Triathlon I'm training for has most the 10k run on a gravel trail. Any advice would be most greatly appreciated! Thank you
Congratulations on all of your hard work you've put in your training and I hope you do well!!!! If the gravel trail is hard packed gravel, these should do fine. They are going to perform best on the paved or blacktop surfaces. They are a very comfortable shoe with lots of energy and cushion. Happy Holidays! Have a great day and stay safe.
Thanks! And yes, I purchased these Sneakers. I've been running quite a bit indoors on a treadmill and doing 10 mile runs outdoors on gravel and love them. Down 70lbs now and feel great!
That's awesome. I hope they work well for you. I am really looking forward to running up the miles in these for sure. Good luck with your training block. Have a great day and stay safe.
Never tried any version of the Pro yet. Have run in the Speed V1 and V3. Loved V1 and retired them somewhere close to 600km, only because I wore a hole in the inner heel cup from small amounts of heel lift overtime on the left shoe. Speed V3 heel lift on the left is worse than V1 for me, to the point I only wear them as daily trainers and strides. If I run too far in them I get heel irritation which I can only fix by locking them down so much that the lace sides nearly touch and then I get pressure on the top of the foot. Based on all the reviews I have seen for the Pro V3, they sound like a great alternative to the Nike racers, but I can't justify the risk that the Endorphin last just doesn't agree with my left foot. Only shoe last I have ever experienced this with too. :/
Hi Tim. I can understand that! It's best to side with caution especially if you have a shoe that is working for you. I can say so far so good for me with these. I'm looking forward to running up the miles in them this summer. I hope all is going well with you. Have a great day and stay safe!
i wouldnt mind your thoughts on the vaporfly 3. Ben johnson used these recent on 4 marathons in 4 weeks and commented that now with the new changes and cushion, he feels that it is abetter shoe for the marathon than the alphafly being improved cushion from last and lighter. prior, he thought the vapor fly was limited to half i think due to the cushion and all. would like to see your thoughts whether you think the vaporfly 3 is able to go the long haul for he marathon and how it compares with the alphafly for that distance.
Hey thanks John. I will definitely share my thoughts with you once I put in some longer miles in the VaporFly 3. I have to say that they do feel better than the VaporFly 2 (and I loved that shoe). I switched from the VaporFly 2 to the AlphaFly V1 for marathons because they felt faster and my legs felt fresher in the longer miles. I think the VaporFly 3 will give the the AlphaFly V1 and 2 and run for their money this year. I'll be ramping up my miles soon and will document the journey and share it along the way. Have a great day John! Say safe.
They are stable. I didn’t have any issues in them cornering or running downhill. The midsole feels just slightly firmer to me than the other top tier marathon race options (AlphaFly, Vaporfly, Adios Pro 3) but still highly cushioned. I don’t think there is that much difference in their overall stability compared to the others. Have a great day!
Hi Brenda. I hope all is well with you! Yes... of course no problem. I am planning to do a better job documenting my next training block so this fits right in. Have a great day and stay safe!
I haven’t run a race in this shoe yet. It feels like the insole is too narrow for the shoe so that I feel the edge, especially on the lateral side, and that is a cause for concern for a race. Any experience like this with your pair?
Hi Gary. No not yet. I only have a couple middle distance workouts in them. I think my longest was 10 miles. But this is something that I will be on the lookout for in future runs. Thanks for the heads up! Have a great day and stay safe.
Hey, thanks for the question. I am very curious about both of those shoes. I did really enjoy the max Road five. So these are a couple of shoes that I’ll have to put on my radar to check out. Have a great day.
@@RunTall Zero chance. Love the shoe and paced a friend in a half in them earlier this year. Even the AF V1 is superior for me at the longer distances. I just don’t get the same pop from the EP 3. They will work for lots of people though. Have a good one!
