I got bored of COD after playing it for an hour. I was never really a "COD" player and my first experience with the series was Black Ops 3. I immediately saw the trends people had been talking about for years and decided to run an experiment. I went 20/0 by doing literally nothing but just tucking myself in a corner at the top of these stairs WITH THE STARTING PISTOL, and killing each person who came up. Not ONCE did anyone come from the other direction. Not ONCE did anyone manage to even squeeze off a shot at me before I dropped them. Not ONCE did ANYONE change tactics, it was just the same routine over and over again. People running around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. ZERO critical thinking skills being displayed from anyone in the match, it was the epitome of ridiculous. There was plenty of hate mail too, people getting pissy and calling me a "Noob Camper" and me and my friends just sat there laughing at these people. I responded to one of them and said "And who is the idiot who kept falling for the same trick 4 times in a row? GG." COD is like any other cookie cutter Free to Play FPS game on the PC. Its literally no different from shit like Project Blackout, the only difference being better graphics. That's it, though. The "COD Formula" was something that other games have been using for years. And yet there is soooooo much more wrong with COD by comparison. The real reason people on that game probably hate the notion of camping is because it requires them to put forth a little actual brain power. I mean, seriously? 20/0? I agree, I think the major issue is that people have generally been playing the franchise for waaaaaay too long. Folks need more diversity in their library. Games like Battlefield and Halo will teach you the hard way that you need to be smart and utilize some actual strategy. COD needs to fail, for the sake of everyone and the industry itself. Too many developers think they need to "emulate" COD in order to draw in that crowd. It stifles creativity and forces development of future titles into this stupid box. Thankfully there are still some AAA games that try to maintain their sense of individuality.
Malphisto Cichol Sorry to hear that. On the other hand, if CoD4: Remastered becomes a standalone, try giving that (or the original's) campaign a shot. It's single player craps on all but one other CoD, which is MW2.
Malphisto Cichol Well said. I play myself with tact and intelligence and it to have a team that runs around like children in a candy store qs'ing then leave the lobby mid game because run and gun doesn't work is annoying to say the least.
Funny enough, I started at COD 3, and STILL, to this day, play COD 4. I also own Black Ops (1), which I love but nothing beats COD 4. Problem is I refuse to EVER give Craptivision any money for Remastered, they are a shit company and deserve to learn a lesson about fucking us over the hard way.
FullBitGamer Well of course I played all the older cods, even the PC WWII titles (that were before Finest Hour), but I think today people only consider the competitive Call of Duties. So really i started at Call of Duty, but COD 4 was the first competitive COD I've played (which ended at BO1). }Funnily enough, when COD 5 came out and MW2 was announced some time after (I was a big fan back then) me and my mates joked about the mainstream series getting to call of duty 9. And for fuck sakes, it's at bloody 10. They need to just stop with these titles. The remastered for COD 4 has probably already been done by modders on PC hahahaha
Yeah, thats basically what I was implying. The dude in the video said something to the affect that the only way to make cod fresh again would be to change it so much and introduce so many original ideas that it wouldn't be cod anymore. I was basically making the point that Titanfall is essentially filling that roll in the market
RO Gunned The most successful franchise in gaming (or any other industry) becomes a reference for how others do business. It's always been a love/hate relationship, but CoD disrespected it's fanbase with constant cash grabs even while it was on top. Dumped more money into marketing than development. After the devs that made CoD what it is (mw1, mw2) left, CoD tried to mimic what they did (titanfall) to try and bully them with more direct competition for no reason. There's more but who's gonna read this anyway.
I gave up after BO1. Now, 6 years later, I finally decided to play mw3 and bo2, and they were alright, but I felt they were not up to par with everything up to 4 and waw.
after advanced warfare, I swore to never buy another cod. when bo3 rolled out, all my friends were like "yo, you gotta buy fucking bo3 now! it's fucking great!" you know what I told them? "fuck off". after a few months, I kid you not, EVERYONE got tired of the game. I felt fucking proud for not spending those 60 dollars.
Its really sad because Activision is probably fine with COD dying, now knowing they've got Destiny for the next decade. They'll just transition into that.
OmegaLittleBob Yeah, but they use the same skinner-box tactics they used with CoD to make you spend more money on Destiny. If you bought the Year One "Vanilla" version of Destiny and decided to buy all of the DLCs and expansions, you'd spend enough money to buy several brand-new games for the the same price. Destiny can't last a decade unless they ditch these tactics and, well, Activision doesn't seem to take the hint.
What? Bdobbins honestly thinks the only reason why COD is failing is because we're bored? Sorry, but that is only 1 reason. You forgot: Supply drops Pay to unlock weapon skins Meh campaigns (there hasn't been one AMAZING COD campaign since BO1) Meh uninteresting Killstreaks, some CODS Wall running I could keep going but you get the point. It's not just boredom, it's the fact that COD in general has turned to shit because of a combination of reasons, not just boredom
LinusMLGTips I agree with you on all those reasons, although I personally think that the Black Ops series overall had very immersive campaigns. Nova 6, Reznov, and the numbers in BO1, the alternative endings, time skips, Menendez, and plot twists in BO2, and the BO3 campaign was dark and very trippy, but still very cool.
So go play mw2 again, or stick with cod4 remastered for the next 5 years and tell me you're not bored. Weapon skins are cosmetic, they do nothing. Killstreaks suck, I can agree with that, campaigns well I haven't played one since mw2 so I can't judge past that. Wallrunning is ehh idk. I played black ops 3 on pc with the boots on the ground mod on and off and I can't decide which is better (the mod gets rid of movenent abilities so its like oldschool cod, and no specialists). I think the biggest thing is probably the formula is getting old, but the rest of these are just minor compared to the whole.
I showed my dad Battlefield 1's trailer and he asked what movie is it. My mom saw the trailer while I was on my Xbox and asked if star trek was making a show.
SOLUTION FOR COD: Don't release a game for 3 years. And make sure when it is released it top notch boot on the ground with amazing graphics. Cod should take its time making a perfect game, instead of copy and paste the same formula every year like fast food
I think Activision will skip a year for the first time, use it to build a completely new engine, and then come back with a return to World War 2 in 2018. That would be a smart move right now.
Doubt it. I 100% guarantee they will release Call of Duty 4 Remastered as a standalone purchase in the middle of next year to make up the loss of Infinite Warfare.
Aborted Wafflez That I could totally see happen, yes. But I think it's possible or at least would be strategic if they for once didn't make another WW3 of the week-game and skip a year.
haha that made me laugh. I don't hate the formula. I just find the new cod levels look bland and boring. The exo thing doesn't help either. I'm playing Titanfall 2 now. I was hoping COD would focus on cooler levels and better connection but oh well I'll pass.
The thing that frustrates me about the newer cods is the amount of cheese, since MW3 really, there has been so much more shit that you just cannot avoid. Killstreaks have always been powerful, fair enough, and MW2 had its fairshare of OP BS, however now, you run around a map, there is no flow, some fucker flies out from above you and kills you. In MW2, i'd alternate between absolutely crushing 40, 50, 60, 70 kill games with few deaths, and then having mediocre games, say 10k to 20d. but the good games came more frequently, and I could more consistently hold a streak. For example, id tend to frequently get 5 kills back to back, but then perhaps another 3 or 4 deaths after it. In BO3, every game is the same, every game I do very average, perhpas get some shitty killstreak and go 30 to 25. Alot of the time its not even skill from the other players, but rather the inability to control the engagement in the way you could in the older games. The equipment and overload of perks has contributed to this a lot. The final thing that pisses me (and probably everyone) is how MW Remastered was clearly an "Oh shit, AW is a flop, but we've already started IW, so lets make MW to boost them preorders and charge people a fuck load of money". The greed has pissed me off. Id happily pay $50, maybe even $60 for MWR, but $80 just so that IW will sell is really taking the piss.
I'd actually say that i'm more pissed off that Activision ruined a great opportunity than anything else; Call of Duty 4's 10 year anniversary is next year, and Activision could have tried something to help bring back the fan base with a Remastered release of MW4 with some good stuff thrown in there as well, a lot like with what 343 did with Halo Anniversary in 2011. Instead, they wasted the opportunity on saving a game that probably will leave everybody's minds within a few months.
***** I didn't say that they didn't give us COD 4 Remastered, I said they wasted a possibly monumental release with one of their best games ever made on a subpar entry.
lance halderman I'm actually pretty sure it didn't have Ext mags. The description of the gun is it has 2 mags by default, and I wasn't running ext mags on it in create a class. So yeah this game is laughably bad
Dr Leatherwood Why would this...vector clone?... have two mags? Sure, it doubles the ammo while keeping the profile and weight low, but that's means you're spending two mags per reload. Who designed these projectile weapons, WWI gun manufacturers?
It's Trent If we're talking about the gun that looks kind of like a Vector, then no, that gun totally has two mags sticking out of the bottom. I don't know what kind of extended mags turns a perfectly good gun into a completely different and mostly impractical mess of a firearm.
Damn dude, you're totally right! Market oversaturation. That's what happened. I jumped on board during BO1 and MW3 and loved it! By the time I had the maps from BO2 memorized they were shoving Ghosts down our throats, so I caught up. By the time I was a master as Ghosts, Advanced Warfare came out and pissed me off to no end. So I stayed back with Ghosts. Then I buckled and got AW and BO3 came out. Now I'm staring at this giant stack of COD games (with Infinite Warfare sitting on the top) thinking, "what the fuck is this shit!?"... You're totally right.. We are tired of it. New game please....
LowlyOne omg I know right! they stand on top of you like 3 meters away and they just let you fully die it's so annoying especially when playing operations and your about to loose a sector
this is what happens when you release a new game EVERY year. THAT is what killed it. If they just released every 3 years regardless of it being futuristic or not. And had consistent support during the whole lifespan of the game it wouldnt have burnt out like this. imagine if COD4 was up for 4 years THEN Mw2 came out then for 4 years supported that game. blah blah blah. wouldve lasted much longer. OH BUT THEY HAD TO HAVE 2 DEVS TOO.. so stupid.
release a game. support that game for years to come. then release a new one when the time is right. just look at counter strike. like 4 games since 1999? not counting the asian titles? thats how you release an online FPS
I played religiously from Cod 4 through Black Ops 2, and stopped there. I picked up Advance Warfare a few months after it came out and played till like level 25 or something and never touched COD since
tskwared667 I been here since cod 3 I played cod 4 a coo minute but I was 6 when that shit came out , I really got into it when waw came out and I dominated that shit at 7 years old dog , i stopped liking it at AW but black ops 3 got me back into it because it's not like the other cods but it's actually fun to play it makes me rage and multiplayer + zombies it's actually not that bad being compared to AW and IW
Been playing COD since cod 4 played mw2,mw3,blop1/2, ghosts, AW, blops3 and I have to say if AW didn't have pay to win gun it'd be a top contender but the king will forever be MW2
Pretty much the same, started on WaW, loved it, played all games up to black ops 1 when it started to get a bit boring and didn't buy another cod game after MW3.
Funny, you started to mention scrambled eggs as i sat down start eating them xD Ive played CoD since beginning until MW2, tried to Black Ops, then tried Ghost, didnt even go halfhtrough the games and not long in MP.
Avatariuz Nailed it! Same for me as well. People tend to forget how great COD2 was and how balanced it is. COD3 was actually similar to the battlefield games now that I think about it. Probably their second to last big innovation until COD4 came out. They even had vehicles in 3!
Hoffy C.H they did the same thing for nuketown. The difference is that this map hasn't been on the scene for 4 years, while nuketown was practically every 2. It's a bit of nostalgia. Besides, cod always remakes maps. To much is too much though, and if I still like CoD next year, I hope I don't see anymore remakes.
I made that spongebob meme! Well, the one in the video is a copy of my original. But I made the original. No kidding, I wouldn't have wasted my time writing this if I didn't. (I know no one gives a shit)
7 - 8 years later and people are still complaining about the newest COD games having too fast TTK, broken streaks, shit spawns, meta weapons, packet loss/burst (aka lag), and I'm like, "dude if this stuff is 'new' to you, you haven't been playing this franchise for the amount of time I have"
In all fairness I was bored of Cod right before Black Ops 2 came out, when they announced the setting I can remember myself saying "This is it, this'll be the last cod I buy.... UNLESS it does well." And go figure Black Ops 2 was really good. I've been riding that "well black ops 2 turned out okay... so maybe this one will be fine." I got hyped for ghosts and was burned hard. Bought AW like 2 months after it launch and only played for 30ish levels. Got back on to Black Ops 3 because I loved bo2, and was let down with how stupid a lot of the business decisions were (i.e Supply drops, boring DLC maps and weapons etc.) And for some reason I bought Infinite Warfare. I don't know if it was Cod 4 that hooked me or my subtle optimism that maybe Cod can pull out a win again. It frustrates me, and regardless of what they do next I will not be jumping on. It's not $100+ I need to spend every November anymore.
The rock "in Central inteligence": That's a lot of obsession coming from a COD fan ! You need to go get that looked out by a trained professional. LMAO
The modern warfare games were just fucking fine. CoD died when they introduced absolutely bullshit features that made the game slightly more antagonizing for people to play. Modern Warfare games never lead up to Sci-fi. They just want to be titanfall.
lol looks like someone is triggered since he's in everybody's comments talking about how modern warfare was trash. if it wasn't for them, call of duty wouldn't be as big as it is. The futuristic bullshit is what killed the franchise
Call of Duty hit the beginning of its peak with CoD4, MW2 was the follow up to CoD4 and was the franchise's peak, but after the breakup of Infinity Ward they stopped improving the game and instead turned it into super mecha space boost bullshit that completely went away from the boots on the ground soldier in the battlefield that made the franchise popular to begin with.
Black ops 3 has more sold copies than Modern Warfare or Modern Warfare 2, not that it proves much. I'm just saying the fast paced unreal tournament like gameplay hooks more players than any other first person shooter.
Optimal Productions That was at first I looked it up before battlefield released and it had about 80,000 pre orders on each console and iw had 100,000+ on each console....soooo
First Call of Duty was MW2 (Best one in my opinion), Last Call of Duty was Black Ops 1... Haven't look back since. Now if they did a MW2 remaster...oh boy
no the main reason is that cod was always "cool" to play alongside madden and 2k basketball games. people always thought of other games as nerdy and stuff. now, with the bf1 hype train, people are able to find out that there are better games than cod since they are not afraid of being made fun of since they play them. I hope that makes sense :)
Jan sabri a lot of people feel that way, but the largest percentage of cod players is the casual. someone who doesn't watch these videos or do anything but play the game. they're the ones who are afraid to play other games because they're afraid of looking like a nerd or being "uncool". it's now cool to like bf1 so people will be switching is masses
Not to mention Titanfall 2 is delivering on it's ass kicking premise, and those servers are thumping. People are just burned out. If I were Activision I would wait 3-4 years, have a COD in development to be released after those 3-4 years, and really focus on balance, story, and some truly memorable level design.
I ate scrambled eggs for three days in a row and so far I haven't eaten them since. That was 4 months ago. Not the point of the video but I sure no one would be able to eat a healthy food, not junk food, for more than 3 months in a row.
Yeah enjoy the raunchy taste of mushrooms in your mouth everyday that's a great plan, you'd also hit such a high tolerance so quickly you wouldn't even trip, it would probably take you about a week then you wouldn't be able to stomach the amount you'd need to slam in your mouth lol
Scrambled eggs are kinda gross. Just bland. The only time they are good is with something else like sausage or bacon. Bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Mmmm.
I enjoyed your analysis of the situation I think it was very thoughtful. What you have said has made more sense to me than ANYTHING I have heard others say so far, and I thank you for that. It was like a breath of fresh air while stuck in the middle of a Nova 6 Bombing.
Let's be honest Tryarch saved the the Cod franchise with the Black Ops Series so it doesn't matter at this point. Cod never died it's just people deluding themselves that it's dead. IW may put the series in the hole for now but they'll do something that'll bring it back up. Not saying Cod is the best game ever but it's a pretty good series with some bad titles
Naga Sou Because BF1 came out when People were crying out for another World War game but it's just a small time thing. Titan Fall 2 is a different story since theres never been a mech shooter like Titan Fall 2 and even now the first one was DOA. The shooter genre is getting stale in general to the point that it's never fun to play a FPS anymore
black ops 4 wont save the franchise if it is indeed falling apart, black ops wont even return every 2 years now its 3 years, if it has boost jumps, supply drops, intentional lag, linear maps, lies about being a new game when it isnt, all those other shit tactics, being called black ops wont change that
I don't think what you said is right about everyone hating on the core formula. Tell you what - we'll make a bet. If cod4 is played and then dies after a couple of weeks/months then I'll come back on this video and apologise. If not. - then you had to admit that people aren't sick of the old school formula - they're sick of the extra 'sauce' that they saturated the 'pizza' in.
Scarecrow Here in America, we'd have to spend 80$ for the Legacy edition, 60$ for the game nobody likes, 20$ for the game everyone wants, and 70-odd GBs wasted on something we'd rather burn than stick in our consoles and PCs. 90 quid for it is like 45 quid per game, an even worse bargain to my American eyes.
What do all of those games have in common? The people who made them great to begin with are long gone. Jason Jones for Halo, Vince Zampella and Jason West for CoD, and Cliffy B. for Gears of War. Fans of games always forget how important the actual game developers are to the character and quality of games.
plus the fact that both halo and gow were supposed to be trilogies, making the games they putout now cashcows, especially halo look at how much worse ODST was in comparison with halo 3
you should watch a video that shows how different old Bungie were compared to 343i , their completely different thought process that went into making the game , for exemple 343i wants to make everything look good graphically but old Bungie just wanted the game to be fun to play .
I agree. Look at Halo: Combat evolved. That was single handily the best Halo game I've ever played, and then BOOP. Halo 4 came. I admit, it was decent, but when Halo 5 came and screwed the series, I moved to CoD. Same with that too.
***** Which is fair. I just wanted to experience the campaign again and was impatient lol. Wait for reviews at least if anything. Not entirely sure if Activision refuses to release it separately, although they did do so with other DLC in the past, seems a bit more unlikely being an entire game this time.
***** Honestly, there is a crowd for IW so I don't think saleswise they'd lose a lot. A lot of people also already preordered it to play MW Remastered campaign and/or to play MW online when it comes out. 50/50 chance on their sales being deeply affected to the point of a standalone.
I stopped liking COD after MW3. MW3 was when the lag really started to spike and hit detection started going down hill. MW2 was my most recent favorite COD. BO1 was great. But, BO2 and BO3 are overrated pieces of shit. Only the intellectually challenged with short attention spans like BO3. If only COD used actual dedicated servers, players might have a balanced experience. I'm playing Titanfall 2 now, and I'm having fun. I already know its a thousand times better than IW without looking. For one, they actually use dedicated servers. But, it's also more fun and now with more content. I'm also enjoying the crap out of Battlefield 1. Also, another great game.
I got tired in bo2 ( MY FIRST COD) i kept on getting spawn killed and insta killed by the same damn guns so i hit fuck it and deleted it and i started playing yesterday and the same bs happened!!!!
And your the reason why this game is so causal now bc ppl like you that complain about the game bc ohhh I'm geting killed and spawntraped. Bc your trash at the game duh. You expect to just walk into something and be a god at it. No that's not how life works buddy. The same ppl that are pros and are good at the game. They put time and effort to be good at the game. Most ppl cry about the game bc they are bad it's the truth. When I first started playing and was geting shitted on. I never once said I'm quiting. I had the mindset of I'm going to be better than them. Not quitting bc I'm geting spawn killed df
battlefield is plagued with day 1 patches and overpriced dlc. just because everyone hyped bf1 and shat on cod doesn't mean bf1 is amazing and cod is shit.
this vid is spot on, I mean if ya think about it its pretty messed up that they have supply drops, its just promoting gambling. COD points are way too expensive, its just dumb, I bet a third if not more of their revenue comes from supply drops.
This is actually something I've noticed for a while now, and it's something not entirely singular to CoD these days. I started CoD back during Call of Duty 2. I've played every Call of Duty since then save for Ghosts and Advanced Warfare, and then Infinite Warfare was announced and released. I have yet to buy it and I never will, because not even the promise of MW1 remaster can drag me back, because even MW1 feels too similar to the newer CoD games. I've had the same issue with Halo, which I started on Halo CE for PC. These games have literally defined my childhood, being a young adult, and they've been doing the same thing over and over, while the changes they added were adopted into the "core" gameplay of the sequels. You got "Eggs with salt", but never got "Eggs with Ketchup", you got "Eggs with Salt and Ketchup", whether you liked salt the first time or not. The problem isn't that they aren't changing enough, the problem is that the changes they make are kept forever whether you liked them or not (the jetpacks and such added in Advanced Warfare have been in 3 games already, and that was the biggest change in CoD games in the last couple years.) /end rant
I loved Medal of Honour. You know the anime Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon? In episode 1 Angelise comes across a "norma" (a person who can't use mana) and orders it purged for being non-human. Later it's revealed that Ange herself is also a norma on live TV; to which the mother of the baby norma says serves you right. Ange is then sent to Arzenal with other norma. You know what? Ange is Call of Duty in this analogy, Medal of Honour is the norma and Arzenal is the dust bin of history. Medal of Honour (all of them) was a great series and I love it.
The last CoD I bought was BO1 and it's funny because I knew even then that it was gonna be my last CoD purchase. The writing was on the wall a long time ago.
That's actually the last time I played CoD as well. And to be honest, Infinite Warfare isn't that bad. Its my first CoD with wall running and knee sliding.
COD MW3 was where they lost me. I just so happened to have found Battlefield 3 for half price on Black Friday when I went out to purchase MW3. I played MW3 about 5 time and then played Battlefield 3, and was blown away on how different Battlefield 3 gameplay was. Bigger maps (not caged in running around in circles), Vehicles you could actually drive, Buildings that would collapse and kill you (a free environment that you could interact with and change), teamwork being required to win games and more. I ended up giving MW3 away to a friend about 1 year later because it felt the same as always and I had never played it again after getting addicted to Battlefield 3. That is how they lost me. I haven't even looked back to COD even though some of its later games might have been good. Battlfield won me over.
I started back in 2008 when Modern Warfare was poppin' on Xbox Live. By the time I hit my junior year of high school, Black Ops II came out, and ever since then, I could not play multiplayer for CoD without getting tired of it quite quickly. I did however buy Ghosts and Black Ops III for dirt cheap this year just to fuck around with the campaign.
Sorry dude, but I completely disagree with your assessment that players hate cod because we're tired of it. That's just flat out wrong, we started hating the game around ghosts because that's when the game got really bad. Terrible map designs, cheesy weapons with zero recoil, then came the super cheese wall running and boost jumping. Cod has been making genuinely terrible games since ghosts, if they somehow start making great games again then people will start playing them again, it's just that simple...
Interesting video! Also, you are quite spot on. The first Cod I played a lot, which was simultaneously my first multyplayer shooter, was COD 4 Modern Warfare (I had played the campaign of COD2 but it's multyplayer was before my time.) I loved the games and stuck with the series until black ops 1 (which I still loved and played a lot) That was the end for me. I own black ops 2, but only for the split-screen party games that are still fun every now and then, got it for cheap from a friend. last year I gave black ops 3 a try. played it 3 times and lost interest completely. It's quite sad because as you said all these games are still good games, but you just get tired of them. Also I honestly miss the realistic nature of the old ones (I know these games never have been "realistic") but they where grounded in realism and still had some nuances to them.(member the campaign of World at War that actually felt like playing a war game? I meeembeer) I would have given Modern Warfare Remaster a try, had they actually released it on it's own and with all it's original content. But they aren't even including all the original maps (to sell them as future DLC I assume). This is unacceptable. A remaster should celebrate it's origin and not function as a selling tool for an inferior product. It should also bring back the original content with additions, not cut content away. This would have been Activision's chance to regain some old fans, they failed miserably.
This dude is on to something! Seriously. I can't agree more on this! It's very comprehensive and logical. My first COD is BO3 (I know right). So I'm still stoked about infinite warfare and I'm still gonna play it. But I'm so glad I saw this video. You sir, just got a new subscriber.
My story is pretty much the same as yours; I started with MW2 (went back and got CoD4 and WaW), and pretty much stopped playing during Ghosts. I started playing CS:GO, and while I picked up AW and BO3, I rarely played them. This is the first year I didn't buy the new CoD.
I agree completely agree. I honestly think if they just release one COD every 3 years, then we wouldn't get sick of their formula. COD would be so refreshing. Now we all just roll our eyes when they reveal a new one every year.
I have played COD since COD 1...The game really started changing dramatically when they went "next gen" the first time with COD4. After COD 4, the game has slowly shifted more and more into the "arcade shooter" realm. That works for some people. Doesn't work for me. I'm a grown adult with limited video game time now, so I have to make a decision on which games are getting my play time since i dont have time to try them all. Im playing BF1 right now and loving it. Probably wont be picking up IW.
The first COD that I ever played religously was CoD4 and I actually stuck around all the way up to Black Ops 2. Black Ops 2 was when I really burned out, though, because games like Battlefield had just swept me off my feet with, what I felt was, SO much more fulfilling multiplayer gameplay, and other misc games like Dark Souls and Fallout were dividing my attention up so much that I just had no more room in my heart for COD and it's stayed like that to this very day. I haven't bought a COD game since BO2 and it's likely going to stay that way unless Treyarch or IW pull a rabbit out of their asses or something.
7.12 This is probably taken in a wrong context, but the Medal of Honor series was taken out of dev cycle because people thought Warfighter was disastrous, yet the release was nearly as atrocious as BF4, and EA decided to ditch it for the BF series instead of supporting it like BF4, ironically. It wasn't that people was tired about it (okay, maybe some were) but MoH back in 2012 wasn't oversaturated like CoD at this point. Warfighter is actually a solid game, worth checking out, and it's nice that it's devs take their time to make it great and to be as authentic as possible, despite of EA's methods etc.
The last COD I really played was BLOPS2. I made the mistake of buying Ghosts, but I barely played the MP for two hours and couldn't bring myself to finish the single player campaign.
Look, just like anything it can be purely subjective. Come for the multiplayer stay for the campaign. I enjoy games. I consider myself pretty good at shooters. Over analyzing any form of media, can take the fun out it. Don't like it, don't play it. Battlefield, Call Of Duty, Destiny, Halo, Quake, Unreal Tournament, Doom.. are all great experiences. Just don't get burned out.
For me I started in Cod WAW and stayed until Ghosts but then Bo3 came out and rerevived it for me, but it still wasn't enough, so I still buy every cod but its not for the same reasons I bought MW2 or Bo1, its because of zombies and now even that is getting slightly stale (Given that it was all I played) but right now I'm very happy with my gaming. I normally alternate between Cod Zombies and Overwatch now and every now and again, hell i'll chuck Halo 5 in or load up Cod Multiplayer for the first time in a month, and it feels fresh, but then within maybe 2 hours I'm already over the multiplayer again unless I'm playing with my friends, I do still believe Cod can be revived but we will never have the same community. Activision's arrogance is what has brought us to this point, Infinite Warfare Zombies is good but the Multiplayer single handedly killed Cod. I do have a solution but its not a popular one. If Activision were to merge all 3 studios and have Infinity Ward work on Campaign, SledgeHammer and Raven work on Multiplayer and have Treyarch work on Zombies and only release each new cod every 6 years, I feel that Cod would have more time to sort out spawn issues, balance issues, lag compensation, full dedicated server and with triple the people working on the same game it would overall have less glitches, of course console generations are the reason this doesn't exist but its an idea that should atleast be considered. I as a zombies player has been wanting to play the game I started on (Bo2) for ever but because of the way cod works they wont make backwards compatible because that would take their core market away off games that have supply drops (Their biggest money maker) Thanks for reading and keep up the good work bdobbs
This is the best thing I've seen all day. Me and a coworker who doesn't even play games were laughing at your egg jokes. I sub'd. And while I know my sub is meh compared with all your others...I don't do that much. So you're a genuinely entertaining person. Gg
I started CoD back in '03 with the original, and I loved it....I got into a clan that had custom maps and mods running in their server and I stuck with them for years...I never played Cod3, WAW, MW3, Blops3, or IW, and i dont want to either
I am a OG CoD player. Most people came during MW2 GHOSTS OR BLACK OPS i started on PC playing the original then bought a xbox 360 and got COD4 on release date and every single CoD since on release date. I bought BO3 on release too but this year this new CoD: Infinite Warfare was the first time i did not buy on release date & i will not. The developers went too far. Everything is too over complex now. It doesn't even feel like CoD.
I just don't think that I ever played CoD enough to get burnt out on it yet. I started playing CoD from WaW, and my peak was on BO2, but aside from Black Ops 2, CoD wasn't something I played religiously. The playing time admittedly increased with every CoD from WaW to BO2, and has diminished since, but I just never played enough to say I hate it. I still wholeheartedly agree with all your points in this video, I do believe that Activision has run CoD into the ground, and milked the franchise dry for every penny and that it could still be one of the greatest franchise around had it just taken its time with developing the games. It is sad to see this once beloved, untouchable behemoth of a franchise fade into legend. At the peak of this franchise during MW2 and Black Ops 1, it almost felt like CoD could be invincible, but here we are now. It's sad really
I'd happily give Activision my money for the remake of CoD4. I started with the first CoD on PS2 and it started getting stale for me during MW3. I remember at the E3 they announced it, they talked about fish swimming from you interactively a new feature to gaming, however it dates back to the n64. By the time BO2 came out I was burnt. I'm unsure if MW1 remastered will be accessible to us in the future on its own without Infinite Warfare. I believe Activision will look at their sales and change their mind but I'm wonder if they're legally allowed to do so after spreading so much news about it requiring Infinite Warfare to play.
I have said it for the past few years when people start talking about the next COD killer game. No game can kill COD. Only COD can kill COD. I just hate that Activision won't learn its lesson and instead drive other games into the ground. Maybe i am wrong though and the next game will be awesome. But after these past few years of gaming kinda sucking i don't have a lot of hope.
Activation is damn smart bro...only what they learn was that their fun base is stupid and unmature ...and they explore that...but bad thing is that now other Devs learn too...i remember back in a day when my clan voted do we move to Modern Warfare(From FEAR COMBAT) or Battlefield...we choose battlefield..and never look back..that was 9 years ago..
Black ops 1 multiplayer was good. You had enemy bots for the first time for custom games and when you reached 14 - 15 prestige you then buy gold weapons. Weapons were great , DLC maps were great , Zombies was good. Story was great. Slo mo last kill cam was good. It also introduced party games.
Battlefield 1 and even Gears 4, is shitting ALL OVER Infinite Shitfare.
Titanfall 2 too
TheHaloProphet so true haha
Burno I been playing some titan fall and for real that game is smoother than iw
Burno more like Titanfall too
Jos3d3vil i need to pick up titanfall 2
GG."
COD is like any other cookie cutter Free to Play FPS game on the PC.
Malphisto Cichol You sir, are a legend.
Malphisto Cichol for the CoD "players" the HUD will save you ass without a UAV believe it or not.
Well I wonder why you got bored? Cough* black ops 3 sucks ass cough*
Holy fuck yes, I started at cod 4 and ended at cod black ops 1. Nailed that one in the coffin.
LegionaryWithAGladius same to a certain extent, I quit a bit earlier
LegionaryWithAGladius Holy shit are you me? Haha
Wrecksoul What do you mean?
What killed COD for me was when I played battlefield 3 for the first time.
Fappetizer same
LOL I was thinking this exact same thing, then I saw the first comment... ^^
I remembered when i picked bf3 over mw3. Best decision I made.
Same here once I played battlefield 3 everything change for good
so everyone here is gonna ignore how crappy EA is?
"It would change so much it wouldn't be cod anymore", it would be titanfall
Tar Alacrin but I like titanfall. More original ideas than cod has and it's my go to twitch shooter
Yeah, thats basically what I was implying. The dude in the video said something to the affect that the only way to make cod fresh again would be to change it so much and introduce so many original ideas that it wouldn't be cod anymore.
I was basically making the point that Titanfall is essentially filling that roll in the market
Best cods are in order mw2, cod 4, BO1 and WaW, every other cod is just thrash!
Katch22H yup I totally I agree with you
you don t know what you re talking about. Call of Duty 1, 1,5 2 were just as great
F
uck.
BDobbinsFTW is for friends
BDobbinsFTW F btw hey BDobbs!
F
F
am I the only one who started on bo3 and was bored after a month?
liam hanson same
i played the beta and got bored of it before it ended lel
I lasted like 5 hours dude what a waste of $60
+XboxThoughts I spent 45 hours holy shit what have I done with my life
i think I played it for a week and realised it's the same recycled shit as always
I haven't played COD since Black Ops 1... almost 6 years ago.
What hell am I even doing here on this video anyways.
you where curious and that's okay.
Maybe you're excited/hopeful that gamers might stop giving this shell of a franchise so much money. CoD has become a stain on the whole industry.
EndlessEtudes what would be the point in that? Thats a retarded way of thinking
EndlessEtudes thats bullshit, if u dont like it, dont play it. End of story.
Id press F but i never respected CoD in the first place.
Yeah, CoD was always that dingy motel room special on a Tuesday night for me. You fucking loved it, but you hated yourself for loving it.
idk fam the campaigns up to MW3 were slammin and BO1 zombies was the shit
I respected CoD 1, 2, and World at War. It only got real shitty from MW2 onwards.
Otakumanu
mw3 and black ops 2 were still good, imo.
I gave up after BO1. Now, 6 years later, I finally decided to play mw3 and bo2, and they were alright, but I felt they were not up to par with everything up to 4 and waw.
False I smoked weed everyday for 6 years and I still do it and love it
Steven Smith smoke weed everyday and i got the highest mark in my uni english class. weed doesnt change the person
xSwisher bit was it always the same strain every single time?
Aren't you cool
***** better than alcoholics we had in the past.
KDe eZ nah i guess the kid with the edgy username is
after advanced warfare, I swore to never buy another cod. when bo3 rolled out, all my friends were like "yo, you gotta buy fucking bo3 now! it's fucking great!" you know what I told them? "fuck off". after a few months, I kid you not, EVERYONE got tired of the game. I felt fucking proud for not spending those 60 dollars.
BombaiBurger "few months"
eric Lau could you elaborate?
+BombaiBurger I think they're tying to say that few months is not that short of a time period
"few months" is all it takes for a new CoD to come out
it was a hyperbole guys. let me rephrase: a few weeks.
Its really sad because Activision is probably fine with COD dying, now knowing they've got Destiny for the next decade. They'll just transition into that.
OmegaLittleBob actually titanfall is published by EA
I said Destiny, not Titanfall. Or is that a joke?
Don't see how it could be a joke, they don't play anything alike...at all.
Darkwiz666 dude I'm sorry idk why I said titanfall 😂
OmegaLittleBob Yeah, but they use the same skinner-box tactics they used with CoD to make you spend more money on Destiny. If you bought the Year One "Vanilla" version of Destiny and decided to buy all of the DLCs and expansions, you'd spend enough money to buy several brand-new games for the the same price. Destiny can't last a decade unless they ditch these tactics and, well, Activision doesn't seem to take the hint.
Titanfall 2 won me over
You mean, Titanfall 1.1? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
EsechavaHD hasnt actually played Titanfall 2, its like COD on crack cocaine and speed.
EsechavaHD If you think Titanfall 2 is casual, you've never played a game in your life.
+EsechavaHD you mean the other way around.
Titanfall>CoD
What? Bdobbins honestly thinks the only reason why COD is failing is because we're bored? Sorry, but that is only 1 reason. You forgot:
Supply drops
Pay to unlock weapon skins
Meh campaigns (there hasn't been one AMAZING COD campaign since BO1)
Meh uninteresting Killstreaks, some CODS
Wall running
I could keep going but you get the point. It's not just boredom, it's the fact that COD in general has turned to shit because of a combination of reasons, not just boredom
True!
LinusMLGTips Killing makarov was a good campaign ending in MW3
LinusMLGTips I agree with you on all those reasons, although I personally think that the Black Ops series overall had very immersive campaigns. Nova 6, Reznov, and the numbers in BO1, the alternative endings, time skips, Menendez, and plot twists in BO2, and the BO3 campaign was dark and very trippy, but still very cool.
LinusMLGTips bo2 campaign was amazing in my opinion
My mom saw the trailer while I was on my Xbox and asked if star trek was making a show.
dang, tell them it's a videogame and watch their reaction
you are a dumbass if you believe him
Martin Gilliard why last time my folks visited they saw an uncharted 4 cut scene and thought it was a movie
Martin Gilliard Bruh I swear to god I wish I was lying about that.
I'm just glad Assassins Creed took a hint and waited to make the game right. unlike CoD
SOLUTION FOR COD: Don't release a game for 3 years. And make sure when it is released it top notch boot on the ground with amazing graphics. Cod should take its time making a perfect game, instead of copy and paste the same formula every year like fast food
Titanfall 2 has taken COD'S place now.
Fareed Ahamed karma for firing the team members
I agree TF2 is better but I don't want it to turn into the dead horse that CoD is.
What's Team Fortress 2 have to do with anything?
Kappa
Hungry Al titanfall 2
Team Fortress 2 > every other game
Now we wait
I think Activision will skip a year for the first time, use it to build a completely new engine, and then come back with a return to World War 2 in 2018. That would be a smart move right now.
wont matter because the community will bitch and moan
hopefully
New engine doesn't mean shit
Doubt it. I 100% guarantee they will release Call of Duty 4 Remastered as a standalone purchase in the middle of next year to make up the loss of Infinite Warfare.
Aborted Wafflez That I could totally see happen, yes. But I think it's possible or at least would be strategic if they for once didn't make another WW3 of the week-game and skip a year.
god damn it mama it's still eggs :v
haha that made me laugh. I don't hate the formula. I just find the new cod levels look bland and boring. The exo thing doesn't help either. I'm playing Titanfall 2 now. I was hoping COD would focus on cooler levels and better connection but oh well I'll pass.
i never bouth a cod game b4 i can saw this game getting alot of hate so im gud
it's titanfall and battlefields year
titanfall is already dying XD
FearSon really?! that stinks. loved the first 1
TF2 is complete and utter shit. Don't waste your money.
I'm having a blast with titanfall 2.
I loved the first one this one looks sick
MishMash MANNNN you basically said what I just said too. Scroll up if you see this and try and find my rant I wrote. I think you will love it
being able to control an engagement was everything players these days haven't got a clue cod4 is going to be so easy
good players still consistently do well in bo3. However do agree there is too much bs such as specialists
Wait these games have SMGs with 63 rounds... TF?
lance halderman
I'm actually pretty sure it didn't have Ext mags.
The gun literally has 2 clips lmao
it had extended mags. I played the beta both weekends, I would know
It's Trent If we're talking about the gun that looks kind of like a Vector, then no, that gun totally has two mags sticking out of the bottom.
Pls COD Kids don't come over to BF or any other Multiplayer Game!! Thx
Im afraid they already have. No one plays as a team anymore. I cant tell you how many times I was passed by medics when there were no enemies around
lewis norden they already have and they act like long time fans
LowlyOne omg I know right! they stand on top of you like 3 meters away and they just let you fully die it's so annoying especially when playing operations and your about to loose a sector
lewis norden what do you mean? do you want battlefield to stop growing its player base? what does it matter what game you played before another one.
LowlyOne The amount of times I die in a house with a medic 4 Meyers away and I'm fully safe and he doesn't revive me....
this is what happens when you release a new game EVERY year. OH BUT THEY HAD TO HAVE 2 DEVS TOO.. so stupid.
release a game. support that game for years to come. then release a new one when the time is right. just look at counter strike. like 4 games since 1999? not counting the asian titles? thats how you release an online FPS
but i want my money now! and lots of it!!
you just repeated everything he said in the video...you added nothing to the discussion. what was the point of this comment
lmao seriously what the hell was the point of this?
AllStarJason TV Dumbass, its called supply and demand
I played religiously from Cod 4 through Black Ops 2, and stopped there. I picked up Advance Warfare a few months after it came out and played till like level 25 or something and never touched COD since
Same I was out at BO2. Played through Ghosts campaign after it was out for while and haven't played COD since.
tskwared667 I got Ghosts and couldn't get into it. Never cared for it after Blops 2 either. Been here since Cod 4 as well
tskwared667 same
tskwared667 I been here since cod 3 I played cod 4 a coo minute but I was 6 when that shit came out , I really got into it when waw came out and I dominated that shit at 7 years old dog , i stopped liking it at AW but black ops 3 got me back into it because it's not like the other cods but it's actually fun to play it makes me rage and multiplayer + zombies it's actually not that bad being compared to AW and IW
Been playing COD since cod 4 played mw2,mw3,blop1/2, ghosts, AW, blops3 and I have to say if AW didn't have pay to win gun it'd be a top contender but the king will forever be MW2
If you're sick of CoD, just get Titanfall 2. It's campaign is amazing and the multiplayer is a major improvement.
It'll be fun as a battlefield fan to destroy cod noobs in bf1 this year.
BTW, I gave up on call of duty when bf4 got fixed.
To be honest I gave up on cod after BO, and gave up on BF after BF3 came out and I realized we would never get a BF game like the old ones again.
TGF Not necessarily, it was 3 years ago.
XD wait a week after iw is out there will be more
WHY DO BF FANS ASSUME PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BF LMAO
cod has been the same shit different skin since MW2. I jumped ship then and i'm glad I did.
rip cod 2016
MW2 was my all time favorite, the rest is shit but now with IW they have robots running around on all fours? Common...thats not COD
Nah. Since Black Ops.
Pretty much the same, started on WaW, loved it, played all games up to black ops 1 when it started to get a bit boring and didn't buy another cod game after MW3.
rickrastardly i've been around since mw2 & mw3 i jumped ship after ghost
got tired after exo warfare aka star wars aka halo 6 aka advanced warfare
Anthony Mullins true
i tried that for a week could not stand it last good COD was bo2
Anthony Mullins got bored after MW2 bc I realized there was gonna be a e and probably a 4. . .
Anthony Mullins Star Wars is more boots on the ground than AW. XD
The Louster true at least in battle front there Is a cooldown on the jetpack
Funny, you started to mention scrambled eggs as i sat down start eating them xD
Ive played CoD since beginning until MW2, tried to Black Ops, then tried Ghost, didnt even go halfhtrough the games and not long in MP.
same here about the scrambled eggs. Advanced warfare fucked everything up
Black Ops campaing was the only one that I went through in CoD and I have to say that it was good experience. Shame that all CoD is now is bizarre.
same with me. then i saw where it was going with this futuristic bs and i went back to the oldies. too bad their all ghost towns now
Avatariuz Nailed it! Same for me as well. People tend to forget how great COD2 was and how balanced it is. COD3 was actually similar to the battlefield games now that I think about it. Probably their second to last big innovation until COD4 came out. They even had vehicles in 3!
I will go on titanfall2 over IW.
who wouldn't
E Games72 Same game
Titanfall 2 looks a million times better
the irony is that TF2 is made by the same devs who made MW
www.geek.com/games/activision-pays-42-million-to-mw2-infinity-ward-employees-1489953/
Male Sensitivity bf1 is the best in the series since bad company2 imo. you will not be disappointed and I got 400hrs in bf4 so I know a thing or two
OMFG does CoD even reskin really really old maps now? the second map you're playing is a reskin of the Terminal map from MW2.
Hoffy C.H I think we're all aware of this lol.
Hoffy C.H its suppose to be a remake. It got its own video from the CoD channel.
Hoffy C.H Yeah, look at the dlc's for cod they always include at least 1 old map from a previous cod in each dlc like wtf lol
Jonathan Luna especially bo3 DLC. I hated the bo3 DLC season.
I made that spongebob meme! Well, the one in the video is a copy of my original. But I made the original. No kidding, I wouldn't have wasted my time writing this if I didn't.
(I know no one gives a shit)
KryPToN Larry nice
KryPToN Larry I never give shits......I take them 💩
KryPToN Larry I gave a shit to the cause, here 💩
KryPToN Larry Yeah right.
I missed it, I was just listening. Where is it in the video?
Got back on to Black Ops 3 because I loved bo2, and was let down with how stupid a lot of the business decisions were (i.e Supply drops, boring DLC maps and weapons etc.)
And for some reason I bought Infinite Warfare. I don't know if it was Cod 4 that hooked me or my subtle optimism that maybe Cod can pull out a win again. It frustrates me, and regardless of what they do next I will not be jumping on. It's not $100+ I need to spend every November anymore.
sounds like you are in a abusive relationship with activision that you keep coming back after being hurt so many times
you should look up the definition of insanity
The rock "in Central inteligence": That's a lot of obsession coming from a COD fan ! You need to go get that looked out by a trained professional. LMAO
guess where I stopped
The problem is COD went into space. COD was NEVER, NEVER meant to be a Halo clone. That's the problem.
Logan S. Honestly the last good cod was bo2 for me. That's when cod started going downhill with ghost, advance warfare, bo3 and now infinte b.s
same for me
Fuck that shit, CoD 3 peaked the series, the modern trash fucked the entire genre.
Black ops 3 has more sold copies than Modern Warfare or Modern Warfare 2, not that it proves much. I'm just saying the fast paced unreal tournament like gameplay hooks more players than any other first person shooter.
EQOAnostalgia couldn't disagree with u more.
cod sucks and that started with advanced warfare. I'm tired of playing in the freaking future!
Started with MW3, good sir... also, Ghosts is a really bad game.
Big Denny atleast ghost and mw3 had the saving grace of a decent campaign unlike BO2, BO3, and Advanced Warfare
I can agree with Ghosts campaign, but MW3 is actually my least favorite in the fracnhise because of the hype!
I actually thought BO2 had a good campaign and ghosts didn't, but I gotta agree with you on BO3 that was the most confused I have ever been in my life
amb3513 bo2 is good because there is no experience jumps, supply drops, or gambling. plus it is not that futuristic. bo3 and Aw sucked.
Lets face it, its going to sell a lot of copies due to Cod4 being bundled with it.
The Vegan Bear It has Alot of pre orders now it had more than bf1 actually but people will still play it for a little while
The Wandering Dovahkiin for sure
The Vegan Bear yeah I got it pre ordered I'm more in it for the zombies and campaign tho
CoD had nowhere near as many pre orders as bf1 😂😂 get your facts straight
Radicalbanana dude ppl want stuff like waw bo 1 no future shit
Jan sabri Not all "ppl".
Literally one of my favorite channels on UA-cam now... great content man :D
I ate scrambled eggs for three days in a row and so far I haven't eaten them since. That was 4 months ago. Not the point of the video but I sure no one would be able to eat a healthy food, not junk food, for more than 3 months in a row.
Holy shit never mind, cocaine eggs sounds good!
Eat magic mushrooms everyday. They are organic and healthy as long as you pick the right ones, and you'll see something new every time.
Yeah enjoy the raunchy taste of mushrooms in your mouth everyday that's a great plan, you'd also hit such a high tolerance so quickly you wouldn't even trip, it would probably take you about a week then you wouldn't be able to stomach the amount you'd need to slam in your mouth lol
xMurkNx 😂will do
Scrambled eggs are kinda gross. Just bland. The only time they are good is with something else like sausage or bacon. Bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Mmmm.
COD came out in 2003, not 2006. the 1st 2 COD's were the best.
The first THREE CoDs were the best you mean.
cod3 had mixed reception
It's a good thing most of us didn't give a shit about reviews then.
EQOAnostalgia
(Thats the nice way of saying nobody liked it).
There you go
there is an og cod player like me and they both made game of the year to. It all
started to go down when aw came out.
Dr.Leatherwood sounds like the worst pornstar name ever.
GamingRanger you mean the BEST porn name ever?!
GamingRanger guys. Watching his gameplay IS porn 😂
I enjoyed your analysis of the situation I think it was very thoughtful. What you have said has made more sense to me than ANYTHING I have heard others say so far, and I thank you for that. It was like a breath of fresh air while stuck in the middle of a Nova 6 Bombing.
it takes 3 hits to defeat a boss...... it took 3 jetpack cods to defeat me
Let's be honest Tryarch saved the the Cod franchise with the Black Ops Series so it doesn't matter at this point. Cod never died it's just people deluding themselves that it's dead. IW may put the series in the hole for now but they'll do something that'll bring it back up. Not saying Cod is the best game ever but it's a pretty good series with some bad titles
and this can be applied to any other Game so it's doesn't matter at this point
Naga Sou Because BF1 came out when People were crying out for another World War game but it's just a small time thing. Titan Fall 2 is a different story since theres never been a mech shooter like Titan Fall 2 and even now the first one was DOA. The shooter genre is getting stale in general to the point that it's never fun to play a FPS anymore
black ops 4 wont save the franchise if it is indeed falling apart, black ops wont even return every 2 years now its 3 years, if it has boost jumps, supply drops, intentional lag, linear maps, lies about being a new game when it isnt, all those other shit tactics, being called black ops wont change that
+FISHY STABS YOU it better not be black ops 4
FISHY STABS YOU lies about being a new game? wtf are you talking about?
So many good games gone to shit. COD, Halo and gow have all gone down hill. gow 4 is still ok but not brilliant like the first 3 were
What do all of those games have in common? The people who made them great to begin with are long gone. Jason Jones for Halo, Vince Zampella and Jason West for CoD, and Cliffy B. for Gears of War. Fans of games always forget how important the actual game developers are to the character and quality of games.
plus the fact that both halo and gow were supposed to be trilogies, making the games they putout now cashcows, especially halo look at how much worse ODST was in comparison with halo 3
-Emiko. ODST was supposed to be a DLC. It was good content, just overpriced.
you should watch a video that shows how different old Bungie were compared to 343i , their completely different thought process that went into making the game , for exemple 343i wants to make everything look good graphically but old Bungie just wanted the game to be fun to play .
I agree. Look at Halo: Combat evolved. That was single handily the best Halo game I've ever played, and then BOOP. Halo 4 came. I admit, it was decent, but when Halo 5 came and screwed the series, I moved to CoD. Same with that too.
na man, COD died bc. they removed the riot shield :P (well, at least that's when i dropped it; loved riot shield)
upublic true dat
upublic but but but now there will be a class solely based on trucking people with a riot shield
we need ww3 to happen, so they can build a better cod.
then he comes back as Super Zombie Trump and you get to kill him again
Marky-Mark Bobby-Bills 👌😂😂
Then you can swear your fealty to your goddess Hillary, right before doing a banzai into Trump tower while he stands there; not giving two-shits.
E Rid I think mw3 trailer stated ww3 :))))take a look
ChaosLegion yeah but if we survive, we'll have the best call of duty ever by a mile
i hit the hate train a month or two into bo3. so bad in my opinion. sick of it now. iw just looks like an even shittier bo3. money money money
barry neylon yeah me two ima probably burn my disk if possible
Same here, am looking forward to MW Remastered though, even though it's a hardcore money grab.
*****
Which is fair. I just wanted to experience the campaign again and was impatient lol. Wait for reviews at least if anything. Not entirely sure if Activision refuses to release it separately, although they did do so with other DLC in the past, seems a bit more unlikely being an entire game this time.
*****
Honestly, there is a crowd for IW so I don't think saleswise they'd lose a lot. A lot of people also already preordered it to play MW Remastered campaign and/or to play MW online when it comes out. 50/50 chance on their sales being deeply affected to the point of a standalone.
barry neylon yea Bo3 started out great beta was A1, but all the updates ,patches, weapons, nerfs ruined it
I love this guys commentary it's like a comedy show keep up the good work I genuinely laughed when I saw this guys videos
COD got tired for me around ghost and then black ops 2 was pretty good but now I don't even want to buy this shit
VFX Todd well, bo3 isn't overrated, because it's pretty hated. Bo2 is so fucking overrated tho.
VFX Todd i buy black ops games for the zombies. the multiplayer is a bonus for me
VFX Todd
+Zyph_Legend bo2 is one of the best cods ever lol
Charles Snow lol nice joke. You should be a comedian.
FUCK YES MORE BDOBBINS
I got a Infinite Warfare ad before watching this video.
Time to slap the ad-block on again.
after MW3 , anything after that I didn't like
I got tired in bo2 ( MY FIRST COD) i kept on getting spawn killed and insta killed by the same damn guns so i hit fuck it and deleted it and i started playing yesterday and the same bs happened!!!!
I think you just suck at the game
MJ C i dont suck you idiot
no seriously you suck. I suck at the game and I still come out 10 kills 10 deaths
Extremely Underrated 1 very well said !
after mw3 cod was dead to me
this has got to be the most accurate description. great video.
I played the series back in the CoD2 Big Red One days, so this shit has been dead to me since MW2
Black ops 2 is around the time I got sick of cod.
cod sux now. battlefield 1 is the game to play
well i kinda like this game and also MWR
battlefield is plagued with day 1 patches and overpriced dlc. just because everyone hyped bf1 and shat on cod doesn't mean bf1 is amazing and cod is shit.
both games are boring and garbage ;)
standinonstilts
Trust me id played both. And I'm a huge cod fan. But lately cod games sux.
It's all cosmetics! No playable content.
"Even eggs, laced with coccaine, get old after 7 years" what a moving quote
Dude the party was over after mw2.
this vid is spot on, I mean if ya think about it its pretty messed up that they have supply drops, its just promoting gambling.
The problem isn't that they aren't changing enough, the problem is that the changes they make are kept forever whether you liked them or not (the jetpacks and such added in Advanced Warfare have been in 3 games already, and that was the biggest change in CoD games in the last couple years.)
/end rant
The irony is that COD1 was originally going to be DLC for Medal of Honor but they changed their mind and decided to make it its own game
Played COD 2-MW2. After the latter, it was very apparent on where the Industry was heading and so I abandoned ship.
I like how you egg analogy keeps getting worse up to the point of cocaine being in it. 😂
I got tired of cod when I first saw one of your videos and my eyes and butthole were opened gaping wide to the grotesque horror that is Activision.
"Rest in peace COD, press F to pay respects" Brilliant.
I meeembeer)
I would have given Modern Warfare Remaster a try, had they actually released it on it's own and with all it's original content.
I rather play infinite warfare and ghosts over mwr and black ops 3
7.12
This is probably taken in a wrong context, but the Medal of Honor series was taken out of dev cycle because people thought Warfighter was disastrous, yet the release was nearly as atrocious as BF4, and EA decided to ditch it for the BF series instead of supporting it like BF4, ironically.
Gg
Call of Duty is scrambled eggs confirmed
But after these past few years of gaming kinda sucking i don't have a lot of hope.
oh wow you are sooo cool
Activation is damn smart bro...only what they learn was that their fun base is stupid and unmature ...and they explore that...but bad thing is that now other Devs learn too...i remember back in a day when my clan voted do we move to Modern Warfare(From FEAR COMBAT) or Battlefield...we choose battlefield..and never look back..that was 9 years ago..
TheCptnOf Fail Bro have you forgoten bo3? Dont say that is a bad game
