I'm relatively new to fishing and pre-lockdown me and my friend were getting quite a few carp at this lake we had been going to. Lots of 10-15 pound fish. However during lockdown we stopped fishing, but have just resumed fishing again, going to a different, secret lake, closer to home, where fishing isn't permitted, but nobody knows as it is a hidden spot out the way in a remote part of the countryside. The lake isn't that big, but we have seen some massive carp in the clear water there, easily 20-25 pound fish. But in over 20 hours of fishing on those waters we haven't landed a single fish. Just some nibbles. What could be going wrong? Is it due to the spawning season? Do some lakes just have less chance of landing? Are the fish more spooky at certain lakes? We've been pulling out hair out and it's getting very frustrating. We've tried sweetcorn, boilies, fake baits etc.
Perhaps the fish are intelligent and can read, the part that says no fishing,🤔😜😂

Bet the other syndicate members were happy to see that fish caught by a girl on a guestie : ?... Ouch! No, top angling both. There's nothing swimming that can resist pineapple pop-ups over Cell!
One of the best things about this syndicate was the other members, all of which we spoke too being over the moon for Amy. Great bunch of anglers!

Is it me or is the rods she’s using a bit big for her
Archie's Carping Adventures too big for her? She ain’t a child lol. She’s probably got rods that do the job she needs them to do. I.E cast further etc. Ali hamidi uses 13ft rods 3.75tc and he’s like 5ft5 in shoes 😂
