      @@OnceARider Yeah. Thanks to Bangalore's pathetic infrastructure one can learn basic off roading skills on these horrible roads and with slow moving traffic weight can sometimes be an issue but it's okay once one gets used to it. Engine heat is okay considering its a big engine. Also Cant expect one to maneuver it the way hero Xpluse can be done. I get an average of 22-24 kmpl in city traffic.

      Regarding the camera setup, here are the details:
      Camera: GoPro Hero 10
      Settings: 1080p@24frames/sec, bit rate: High
      Secret sauce for no flicker: ND filter and shutter speed twice the frame rate. Use the darkest ND filter possible for the lighting condition you are shooting in.
      For example in my video I used ND16 and 1/48 frame rate.

    For ₹500 petrol how much could you all ride.. pls let me know.
    I'm able to ride it for a. Day inside the city.. up n down... Nothing more... I feel like I'm getting around 20-22kmpl

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider  Місяць тому +1

      You will not get accurate average figure in just 500 rs of petrol. Minimum 2-2.5 litter are not usable as this a fuel injection system and fule pump must not run dry. I would suggest always fill your tank to full and then check the average also filling the tank to full will ensure your fuel pump will perform optimal and would last longer.
      In my case I usually get around 28-30 in the city depending upon the traffic. And for 500 rs in Pune I think we get around 4.8 liters of petrol which should last approx 130+ kms

      Hey bro.. except for the sprocket I did it all. However the biggest difference and improvement is with the fuel x pro.

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider  3 місяці тому +2

      As per the specs the torque is there but you need to shift the gears quite frequently, specially in city riding conditions which is little annoying sometime. You need to get used to of it. However I would say during adventure ride or touring this would not be an issue.

      Unforunately no specific made for Himalayan 450 options are available for rear tyre but you try some generic ones. And for the front, it already comes an extender installed as standard and people are kind of removing it to get more naked dirtbike look. Howerver if you want something bigger then, again there are no specific Himalayn 450 options available and you try some generic ones. In this case going to local market and explore will help.

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider  29 днів тому

      Hello.. looks like there is some issue with your particular bike.
      1. My bike has never stalled a single time till this date.
      2. My exhaust sounds smooth. And the sound has became smoother with the ever km ridden. I noticed a drastic change as soon as my bike hit 650km. The engine became smooth and annoying vibrations disappeared.
      3. Regarding the chain as well I haven't noticed it getting loose instead during the second service they made it too tight, so I had to adjust the slack, as per the manual it has to be 35-40mm, which is greater than any other RE bike. So don't trust the service center guys.
      I would suggest not to wait for the first service. Get it checked as soon as possible. Especially If you are noticing unusual sound from the exhaust.
      I hope your problems get sorted soon. Trust me, it is a very fun bike especially on highways, it will bring a smile on your face with every twist of throttle.

    This bike isn’t good for heavy city congestion, commuting around small city lanes thick with traffic and so on. Too heavy, poor low end torque etc. It isn’t designed for type of use. Forget it.

    • @OnceARider
      @OnceARider  13 днів тому

      Hey there.. honestly no one can deny any of the facts you mentioned. This bike is not for the city and heavy traffic, this has different purposes all together. Even Royal Enfield knows this and that's why they launched Guerrilla on the same platform. In Guerrilla they have changed the sprocket size to tackle the low end torque issue, it is compact and doesn't leans a lot.
      However I would say with enough motivation you can definitely use Himalayan for all purposes. In country like India many don't have the luxury to keep two bikes. 😅
      So if you really like the Himalayan then there are a couple of things you can do.
      FuelxPro, performance air filter and a good fully synthetic engine oil
      These would fix the low end torque issue, and the engine runs happily and believe me if engine run smoothly the bike really feels agile and not heavy at all. But yes parking is still a challenge 😅
      Will be making an updated video soon ( stay tuned ) 👍
