thank you so much for all you do you have definitely helped me so much with my voice I thought at 61 my voice would be no good but it keeps getting better with what you have shown me so thank you so much and may God bless you abundantly
Thank you so much for this. I am a female and will do this in C - my natural break is kinda underwhelming at about A sharp/B. I will do this without going down low on verses as you suggested. Your exercises for singing the verses conversationally were excellent. Your tips on mix have helped me get up to B mix sustained and quick mix hits on C and down quickly again 😊 - thank you as being able to touch that C with some power even quickly opens up new dynamics and emotional impacts. Singers do not be afraid to lower keys. Know your voice. Try different keys. Higher is not default “better” Just like when we try clothes on get what suits your unique body and shape the best, not what the number says or what size you think you should get based on comparison.
My church is literally singing this song on Easter, and I am singing with them in a choir. This video could not have come at a more perfect time! 🙌 I do have a suggestion though. If you could make a harmony tutorial for “Spirit lead me” by Influence Music, that would help a lot. It is such a beautiful song!💕
All I watched was this one video and you didn’t mention this but what these exercises help me to do is engage my diaphragm!!! I’ve been trying to project my voice for years but I could only do it in front of a music teacher and when I’d get home I just couldn’t do it. Thank you!! God bless you abundantly! Can you be reached by email? I’d love to share something with you.
Thank you soo very much for this. I used your technique for the Spanish version of the song and it helped me a lot. Your a great teacher. God bless you and your family.
Wow, Charmaine, you're such a great teacher! You were so patient and nonjudgmental about the first singer's inability to hear that she was doing that phrase with too much head voice before. The singer's "after" example at 53:06 sounds so good in that key of D-flat (as well as her low verse at 54:27 in that key).
I hear ya! Hopefully the tips Charmaine shares in this video give you a good place to start! You can also check out the courses we offer at worshipvocalist.com - they are designed to strengthen your whole voice for any song you might be singing, not just to focus on one song specifically.
I've been a back up/ lead singer for over 40 years and over the past 10 years I've been losing my hearing, it has gotten to the point where I can't hear myself or hear harmony when music is playing. It DEEPLY saddens me in my soul. I have maybe performed 3 times in 10 years. I miss it soooooo much. I believe it was my calling, not to be famous, but just local church. I'm wondering if you know any special technology or techniques that I could use to get back on the platform until I lose all of my hearing
This is the 3rd video I've watched. Love your teachings. Might be personal but I have to ask. The 1st video I watched was 2 years ago and you had a ring on. Now this one you don't. Are you still married. Anyway I can pray for you. Keep up the great work. I'm subscribing.
Hi! Thanks so much for this! Are you playing in D open?... When I play in D, it doesn't align. I've tried transposing and still can't find the right one. Please help!
I don’t always have understand song keys; isn’t this song in key of F actually higher than the original? Most of the songs our team does feel high for females…
