They knew that dodgebolt would be the final game and spent more time on stream doing parkour warriors, a game not in the event, than dodgebolt. They weren't robbed they just didn't plan well.

Note for those wondering: iirc ender pearls are counted as entities. The ender dragon launches entities that get near her wings, so when Dev threw his pearl at her she launched the pearl away which is why it didn't register.
Nah he just threw it and took too much damage from the enderpearl throw

next, you should do DRINKING block's instead of EATING block's. when you drink a block, it gives you a power. so obsidian would make you invulnerable to fire, grass would be able to make you run faster and flower's would grow behind you. and MUCH MORE!
If flowers will grow behind him it would be easier for hunters to track him down

Bone block: gives all entities within like 5 blocks of you blindness, wither, and poison for 3 seconds
Ice: gives you speed 1 for 1 minute
Packed ice: gives you speed 2 for 2 minutes
Blue ice: goves you speed 3 for 3 minutes
Ancient debris: gives you ancient debris vision for 1 minute
Netherite ingot: gives you full netherite tools and armor
Netherite block: kills all players other than you
Jukebox: plays music around the hunters so you can hear them coming
Leaves: spawns a tree wherever you next shift (try to make it not suffocate you)
Cake: gives you saturation 100 for 10 minutes
Campfire: summons fire all around you and gives you fire resistance
Soul campfire: summons soul sand with fire atop it and gives you fire resistance
Wither skeleton skull: summons 25 wither skeletons to fight for you
Brewing stand: gives you strength 2, speed 2, fire resistance, regeneration 2, resistance 2, and absorption 2 for 2 minutes
Wool block: gives you slow falling, saturation, resistance 1, regeneration 1, and slowness 1 for 10 seconds
Lapis block: enchants all of your gear with every 1 level enchant
Prismarine block: gives you an op trident (loyalty)
Sea lantern: gives you an op trident (riptide)
Dragon egg: (show to your hunters after manhunt if you win) summons 100 ender dragons and crashes the server

As a bedrock player i get confused every time he uses his shield and doesn’t set off the tnt thing.
In Java u right click to activate it
He knows that but it feels weird to see if you play bedrock instead of java

he actually could have saved himself by eating the endstone but playing something new you probs dont think about it right away
not sure about that, because Dev took a while switch to a different item. Eating the endstone also takes a while, so him doing both might've been to slow to save himself.
The mod's game mechanic could maybe also preserve fall damage accumulator like with chorus fruit, meaning he couldn't MLG anyways
