The second I saw the hint "entity has to die a certain way" I instantly knew that it was a creeper shot by a skeleton, dropping a music disc which is rare on survival, its even more rare to find it in a chest, and the fact that there are 13 different discs including my fav, pigstep
I figured out it too at that moment
Entity has to die in a certain way and the item being rare narrowed it down a lot, the moment it said the mob has to be shot was when I guessed music disc and the 13 variations confirmed it

When it ‘has to die in a specific way’ I got music disc and all the next hints lined up with it
when it mentioned being shot was when I fully realized, because that eliminated literally everything other than it, you can get tears from a ghast via melee, you can't get disks from creepers unless a skeleton kills them

Not true at all. It could be any mob that they just made a specific way to die for. For example, if ghasts get blown up. If blazes get hit with a snowball. That didn't narrow it down a lot unless you went with the assumption that they didn't add loot tables, which they didn't have a reason to assume

When there was the hints: The entity needs to die a specific way to get the item and the hint that it can found be in chests too, I immediately knew it was the creeper and the 6th hint confirmed that for me because creeper is the only mob that needs to be shot to drop a rare item which is the music disc and the music disk can be found in chests too so it was quite easy to guess it.

1.its rare and cannot be crafted nor found in any other way.
2. Obviously you can find music disks in dungeon chests and others.
3. if you manage to have a skeleton deal the final blow on a creeper it also drops a disc
