One word used frequently by those opposing Idaho's abortion ban laws, such as The208 staff, is "strict". They should understand that when it comes to protecting the life of nascent human beings in the womb the word "strict" has no negative connotation. It's difficult to believe there were no comments or questions from listeners to The208 that support Idaho's abortion ban, yet none were offered by the news reader.
"...this group that are working together to let Idaho voters decide what our laws should look like." Idaho voters HAVE made that decision via their elected representatives. The208 staff may not like or agree with what the voters have decided via their representatives in congress but feigning ignorance about how the process works isn't a good look for a 'news' organization.
Unfortunately, Idaho's elected "representatives" are more beholden to maga cultists and are little more than IFF sock puppets. At some point, we have to face the fact that much of Idaho's electorate aren't exactly the best and brightest.
Your coverage on this topic was absolutely pathetic. All your interviews were with people who are clearly pro choice. I saw nobody interviewed that took an alternative position. My channel 7 has lost its way and appears to no longer be truly local. In a state that is clearly pro life you failed to give equal representation miserably. Not even close.
