Since Ginyu is still sitting on most sites and even on sale at most Japanese retail stores I guess that told them to only stick to Goku's and Vegeta's regular retail unless it's someone that's stupidly popular and a fan favorite like Bardock and Trunks or a staple villain like Buu and Freeza. Or a figure that is old and hasn't had an update for a very long time like Piccolo 2.0 and eventual Cell 2.0 that will sell off the strength of that alone.
Aside from a tiny non-articulated crying kid Gohan, I really wish he included an interchangeable bloody face to replicate him moments after he took the full blow from Piccolo’s Special Beam Cannon right in the gut

Yeah are right about the hair, its flat on the inside unlike ssj3, it makes it strange, but doent look that bad on Jiece for example, but im really loving to see this figure, so accurate. Put army painter no shine matt varnish on his abs and pecs. Water it down and put 2 coats on. Shouldn't even look different but it'll protect the paint.

It does rlly bugs me that shiny cheap plastic lookin in the abs (and i think it is) and paint in some black painted Areas. I prefer the mate color in the armor, and some shading on the musculature as well, seen in other figures. Also i feel the overall plastic in the figure feels weird or at least not as solid as previous figures... Not to say that bardock had some.issues in the shoulder/bicep joint prone to broke due to some problems in the pivots, and i expect not see those problems again.
Why cant they just make a ssj4 Gogeta already!!! And this is random but I been looki g more at the Figure-rise dragon ball figures and they are starting to look VERY damn good or maybe its just the ad photos

It’s a bit of an eyegasm, sucks so many people are having paint chipping on the ab crunch though, also sucks he’s so overpriced for 0 reason and doesn’t come with anything special to justify the price. I’ll still do my best to find a good price because he’s one of my favourite villains but least he’s only in 6 episodes or something like that. Edit: Also though I think it’s one of those figures you get into a pose you like and just walk away and keep him in that, so I wouldn’t be too bummed about missing out on him, also hope we get those accurate Vegeta faces!

I was just looking at my Nappa figure and the chest plate is really far from the abs it doesn’t even touch, I don’t get why they didn’t just do that? Those bits shouldn’t make contact at all, massive oversight, it’s just strange they’re usually pretty good with stuff like that, especially if it’s a p Bandai exclusive.
IMO he's too big. I mean, how are you supposed to pose Goku holding him whilst Piccolo does the special beam canon? I think the defining figure of Nappa was his size. At least watching DBZ as a kid, I thought Nappa was huge and almost invincible which made it such a surprise when Vegeta killed him like nothing but anyway, I digress. I just think they could have still made him bigger than Goku but not that much bigger.
As I always say, thanks so much for this detailed review! Raditz is definitely one of the characters I've been looking forward to for the S.H. Figuarts line. Unfortunately he's also one of the figures I missed the Premium Bandai pre-order for but I'm still very excited to add him to my collection when I find a good deal. It’s still holding up, but I’m thinking it’ll be anytime soon now. I might give it a clear coat just in case. Might not help much, but I guess it’s better than nothing.

I like the overall but I still think he's way taller and bulker than he should have be... I mean he is almost as tall as Nappa and in the manga he is just a little taller than Goku

@@Tony-yn5rr Exclusives never get re-released. But there is a loop hole being repaints. If the figure was an exclusive they can release it again as a repaint. Either way I would just wait right now. Covid is messing up shipments and product isn't circulating normally like it should. So a lot of resellers and shops are taking advantage of this and selling these at a higher price point than they should be and preying upon impatient collectors with anxiety. I guarantee by the end of the year these figures will start becoming more available and the price will drop.

They are good but they are meant for display, sometimes the pieces break

I had a tiny paint rub on the top I then matte coated it to help stop it getting worse but yeah it bullshit :(

Bandai/Tamashii nations is Going for the anime look here for Raditz. Raditz was quite a bit taller than Goku in the anime.
