I’ve been working on a “upgrade” tree for vanilla tanks to level 6, it’s not finished yet but I think I might put it on Azura’s discord when I’m done so people can point things out Edit: it auto corrected Azura’s to Acura’s so THAT had to be fixed
both AT and HE were opposite when on offensive ahem clearing pillbox foxhole and dugout position. infantry support for the Easy Eight and a 105mm howitzer support infantry for clearing objective only 2 strong tanks with organized infantry to take on both enemy tank or infantry
For anti infantry first 105mm tank then infantry for Easy eight look for nearby enemy tank and destroy when a anti tank squad nearby infantry will support the easy eight and protect it
So DICE actually did a HUGE 200IQ here by pushing out Fliegerfaust beforehand and making the US&JN planes so absurdly OP with the HE autocannons so that assaults, in order to not be farmed like pigs, opt to take Fliegerfaust all the time, consequently making tanks playable and not shot down by 10 Panzerfäuste.
What do you think about Dice’s decision to expand the specialization trees. First time I saw them I thought, that’s really a nice improvement. Gives players a lot more options and more to think about , mission wise.
TBH, I think they did this because there aren't that many tanks to add to the Pacific theater, so better to have a few different variants of the same tank.
I’m really liking how much more in depth vehicle gameplay is in BFV. We got a taste of it in BF1 but this is awesome. I love how every tank and plane feels different on the battle field due to the driver’s preference.
Using the arrangements that Dice presented in European theater of war with recon and light tanks, I’d like to see the following vehicles make an appearance for the U.S. forces: M-5 Stuart light tank or M-24 Chafee light tank (like Pz38t) was used throughout rest of European campaign after D-day. M-8 Greyhound armored car (like Staghound) . M-3 half track with the quad .50 cal. AA guns.
The flame thrower is amazing in the A tunnel in the second to last iwo jima breakthrough sector....I racked up so many kills in one of them tunnels with it....went on a massive 25 man killstreak and then after the v2 rocket spam in the final sector pushed up to a roasting defenders getting the cap before sucumming in a 40 kill 2 death game in a sherman I found discarded on the beach with the flame thrower on it
Nice!! I personally don't find the flamethrower to be as effective as killing infantry, but it does look badass, scare the heck out of people and create denial areas to close off path!
In world of tanks the 105 howitzer has a 250m/s travel speed, which is great for peek and cover shots. So i guess they gave it that slow speed for balance, now it is more of a mortar, or an arty piece but with pretty good armor. Coincidentally the 105's purpose in real life
Make sure to play with a friend to be a gunner in all tanks, the more crewed and Specially coordinated a tank is, the better. This has been true for all battlefield games. Also if you both are repairing assaults it helps. And the gunner friend is crucial for the howitzer flamethrower sherman.
So I played this game called World of Tanks for the past 2 years and only recently moved to Battlefield. I thought DICE would severely dumb it down to a point where if you hit them, you do damage. Seeing ricochets (glancing blow) and multiplier values are a really nice mechanism for tanks without overcomplicating it. Props to DICE
Is there a bug with the sights now after the last update on ps4? After a few minutes in a tank my sights start to jump all over the screen making it very difficult to hit targets. I started thinking maybe it could be my controller but it's only a couple months old and it's always the same every time I use a tank now. The aiming is fine the first couple minutes and gets progressively worse the longer I'm in it.
That seems to be the case for a long time, pretty much since the beginning. I suspect it is from the screen shake when there is a tank next you to firing. But I feel like sometimes it does that even without it. So not sure really.
Aiming at the same angles shown in the video will most likely give you the best consistency. Sometimes I also like to use mines and throw them on top of the tanks if they are not aware. They move, they die.
One thing to remember is tanks are always weakest on their sides, rear, and turret. The front of a tank is the most heavily armored. If you can, try to sneak around the tank so you can throw dynamite on the rear, then shoot a couple panzerfausts at the rear of the turret if it's facing you. If you can't hit the rear of the turret, then the rear of the tank body is the next best option.
I wish they allowed you to choose what plane/tank you wanna spawn as before the stupid icon pops up cuz rn you have a split second to not only move to the icon you then Have to move over to your preferred tank/plane and then you gotta deploy as that tank/plane
Excellent video with all the stats neatly laid out (ps, screw tank armour multipliers for making things confusing). Loving the new tanks on breakthrough and the fun battle between tanks and AT guns given the new and improved build speed for inantry. The call in tanks are downright insane but it seems like the whole balance will be thrown off as players unlock more and more upgrades and the tanks quickly outpace the stationary guns. The 76 heat round is ridiculous. I thought the Valentine and its broken RoF was bad, but goddamn. BTW do you have the stats for all the various vehicle and stationary MGs? The stationary and open turret MGs seem to be extremely unbalanced, with them all having the same damage (no longer an awesome 3 shot kill at any range, but better accuracy and velocity), but they have wildly different rate of fire. The Japanese HMG and US .50cal seem to do the same damage as the heavy MG34 but with a woefully inadequate RoF. An MG that chugs like that should not be doing less than 35 damage per shot.
I have stats for all vehicles, currently working with some people over at symthic and will see if we can bring those stats to sym.gg The material grid/modifier is quite elusive so we will have to see..
The flame thrower on the Sherman is so much fun! You just spray and sweep it back and forth over a rock or a hill and let the kills rack up! Also it's great cover like smoke if you spray it while backing up makes it just a little harder for the enemy to see you
Something you completely glanced over that requires a ton more info on is the fact that the flamethrower does damage to armored vehicles at a rate of about 2 dmg per second plus an additional 1 dmg per second for burn effect, this means that if you are within range of an enemy tank to use the flamethrower you can alternate between it and the main gun as your shells reload and will ALWAYS out damage your close quarters opponent.
Yes that's correct, flame away between shots. It is however not a typical scenario and if the enemy tank has a superior cannon due to them picking the path that is not the flamethrower, they are going to out damage you. But everything else equal, I agree, flame away 🔥🔥🔥
Stunzzy They were in 23.000+ Shermans were deployed in Europe and saw widespread use by the US, British Commonwealth and the French. The Shermans in Europe were well-equipped and have Field Improvised versions of their own Shermans that stood superior than the ones deployed in the Pacific.
I personally love the 105 for killing tigers. You run up to it and slam a shell into the tiger. As it turns spam the flamethrower so it cant really see whats happening, and shoot again. As long as you flamethrower in between shots you can really screw w them so i think its worth a try
0:34 I think the big 75mm Upgrade on the Type 3 doesn't make it a Type 4 Chi-to because they had a different chassis, but they do have same turret I think
In reality, there are a variety of Shermans that still includes to kill Tanks and Infantry. There are Shermans such as Rhino and Sherman Dozers to breach the Bocage, Other Rocket Shermans like the Whizbang, T105 and the Firefly Tulip, the DD Shermans and the Mineclearing Sherman Crab. Also, DICE would add Sherman's with additional Armor like the Jumbo or Armor-welded Field Expedient Jumbo's as "Additional Armor and HP customization".

That's a good point. Dice doesn't really put any consideration how these tanks performed historically
The 76mm was not a bad gun irl, especially against historical Japanese tanks which were usually under developed
Because the Sherman’s 75 and 105 mm cannons are anti infantry and meant to fire heat
Why tf did they even give the 76mm heat shells when it mainly used APHE and HE. The only Sherman variant that really should be using heat is the 105mm
