This system is awesome. It worked immediately using a WEMOS D1 Mini Pro then I changed "ESP8266WiFi.h" and "ESP8266HTTPClient.h" to “WiFi.h” and HTTPClient.h and it worked fine on a generic ESP32. Then I added additional Const Char* for host1 and host2 and it worked great for multiple buttons. Great Job Martin!
In NZ. Button 1 sets up OK and fires the Alexa routine, but that's it. Button 2 cant be found with Alexa device scan. They invite questions for their "support team" but I've never had an answer.
Hey. Yea I knew some peeps were going to ask about it :-) Allot has changed for me since I started that project which kind of distracted me from it.. I moved places some of the components that I were going to use got lost during the move. Being a bit of a perfectionist , I ran out of filament and cannot find the same color anymore which means I have to start over. Chances of me continuing with that project is slim. But I'm happy to share the STLs if someone wants to continue with it.
@@Mailmartinviljoen Aha I was one of those people wondering the same thing. I've got a month free soonish and I'd love to try to continue on with it if you've still got the stls?
Hi Sylwia. Yes it should work because the wifiNina library supports SSL. In this example www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/WiFiNINAClientConnectSSL you can replace www.arduino.cc with littlenodes.com and /asciilogo.txt with /api/alexa/triggeralexa.php?email=YOUREMAIL&apikey=YOURAPI
It doesn't work on Mexico neither. Can you do something to share the skill in another countries or something like that? :{ I'm trying to make a trigger for my phone. With the MacroDroid app I can request an url when my phone's battery hits the 100%, so I'm thinking on give the url generated by LittleNodes and this will turn off a wifi socket when the charge is complete.
Problem is I have to choose which country or server to use. Seems like all Europeans are having an issue. I'm afraid if I change things it may break it for others. I need to investigate a little more. Sorry about that. Strangely it works OK for me, I'm based in South Africa.
This is just what I've been looking for!
Just learning about esp8266.
Thanks!

Fantastic job you deserve Subscribe. It works for me and it unlocked an awful lot of options with which I had a problem, really great work.

Hi! What happened to your diy prusa mini clone?

@@Mailmartinviljoen awesome!!
This looks like great work. Unfortunately, the skill isn't available in the UK.
This is really promising, unfortunately, I cannot find LittleNodes in the Alexa skills. Has it something to do with my location? I'm in Italy.
Hi Martin, I was wondering if I could use Arduino Nano 33 IoT to do the same thing?

@@Mailmartinviljoen oh I see ! Thanks for the try anyway. Keep UP the good work !
Hey I was trying to find the alexa skill. I can't find the skill anywhere. Can you help me with that?
Does this help ? www.amazon.com/Private-LittleNodes-Virtual-Buttons/dp/B09C1TD78R
Schade der Skill ist Deutschland nicht nutzbar
Ja Entschuldigung. Sieht so aus, als hätte Amazon einige Beschränkungen in Deutschland festgelegt.
