Trigger Alexa Routines with anything. Smartthings.

In this video we will see how you can trigger alexa routines with any Smart Device. We are going to use Smartthings App And create a device handler which will act as a switch or a contact sensor. And using the Device handler we can. trigger alexa routines.

I guess you're using smart socket from HomeMate, but how did you added that in Samsung Smartthings app?

Yes you could, but using a smartthings Hub.

Why is it necessary to have any Samsung software and hardware. Can't you just use a virtual switch?

you can do it without samsung hub? here doesn't appears new device.

When every other app can take on/off as trigger it's a shame that Alexa can't support this function natively.

Haha Thats True. At least we have a option to trigger the alexa routines. In google home we dont even have that option.

Stuck on "Device Network Id *" When I enter the "----" and try to create, I receive "A Device must have either a Location or a Hub". It appears to need a device ID. Where do I find this? Thanks.
