I received this kit to tryout. A bit expensive, yes there is better gear. But! Their 2P ten is great! Held together just fine in a serious storm, condensation is very minimal. You will stay dry. Their quilt is quite comfortable, the pack has straps on the bottom so you can lash your tent and sleeping bag to the bottom to hold clothes and whatever else you may need. I would personally recommend if you go this route buy their 5 piece bundle and buy the rest of your gear elsewhere. Those knocking this company are either die hard ultra-light twats or have never used these products and are commenting off of a video. Personally I think they make great products.
Xmid 2 person tent: $300 Osprey exos: $200 (on sale) Smart water bottles: 4 for $6 Trekking poles: $30 Windmaster stove: $70 Air sleeping pad: $150 Fillow pillow: $50 Sleeping down quilt $80 Head lamp: $30 Heat distribution pot: $30 Total $1046 I believe this list is better quality stuff than their list.
So could I use this as a carry on on a plane? I really wish I had this pack instead of the one I have now. I went to Europe over the summer and I bought the wrong stuff and over packed. This would of been great to have.
Their heart seems to be in the right place, everything has a bag/pouch, well laid out, mostly well labelled, Not the most expensive parts though.. while it can be argued that it is not the value for price, it could also be argued that you save time and therefore money chasing up all the components
This kit is not only extremely over priced, it is incomplete as well. You say the company claims the kit's retail value is from $2000-$2500? If it were me I would send it back and run from this company as fast and as far as possible. JMHO!!!
I just had an ad from this company show up and had never heard of them. It’s a bit much for my budget, but might be fine for others. I’d rather watch a few videos, learn what I need from those folks then pick my own stuff.
That tent is a good buy for sure. I bought one in '19 for $175 and love it. I am trying to out fir my 17 yo daughter for a packrafting trip. My concern with this is 55L. Where are the extra clothes going? great review. Thank you
Hey Paul. Good first look. Looking forward to the real road test. All in all it's seems like a decent set up. Not a bad idea for an extra pack for the family bug out. Thanks.
My basic kit is a 10x10 tarp military mess kit 5 fire starters my Corona folding saw atomahawk hatchet . 600 feet cordage 6 tent stakes 3 knives 2canteens 1 is the full stove and cap 1 ww2 stainless 1, 2quart plastic.2 flash lights and extra batteries. 2 wool blankets and 2 ponchos.
I think it is a good deal for starting out, and I have seen others say some of there stuff is very good and the wouldn't mind having duplicates. It is cool they are coming out with a kids version
IMO this is WAY overpriced and SO much missing for even a basic kit. RIPOFF IMO. I've seen good quality pre-made kits A LOT better for HALF the price of THIS one.
This is way overpriced , you can buy all the same gear and some actually good quality stuff that will last you a life time, instead of this junk. And like all these pre made kits / monthly gear boxes it’s them just slapping their company name on amazon/ china over stock junk and charging you more for the junk they paid pennies on the dollar for . Yes you know what I need bandaids, Q tips ,a shitty shovel , thermometer/compass 🙄, and a fire starter carabiner🙄🙄🙄
I would have ZERO TOLERANCE if it was listed at half that price!!! Way overpriced...where are you paying $209.00 for a tiny rent or $100.00+ for a cheapo non- adjustable pack frame...thanks for breaking it down but no way.. 😱
There are much worse companies to have my name attached to. But if they are willing to send me something to test out and can give an honest review, why wouldn't I?

Great video Paul. Cannot wait for the over nighter!
I don’t see a video of how your trip went…would really like to see that.
I miss you, you handsome bastard 🤣
Hope all is well brother!!!
Fuhgetaboudit 🗽
Miss you too brother! Hope you have a speedy recovery 🤘🏼

That’s a $300 kit at most. 75% of that kit is Walmart stuff.
Agreed!

Its now priced at under $900, pretty good deal
Good review Paul , thanks for sharing, God bless !
Looking forward to the over nighter.
Always a lot of information

Not bad for an off the shelf kit.

Nice review but I think Ill stay with my ole WW11 and Vietnam kit, yes it's heavier and cheaper, thanx Paul!
Great video but I don't see even see 500 dollars there with labor cost and shipping.
Cool complete kit can't wait to see you get it all set up
The kit I put together is a lot cheaper and has things from brand name gear I got secondhand. Been using it for close to 3 yrs.
Hi Paul, I just think it's way to much $$$for its contents. You can make a kit for a fraction of the cost.
Wäre do you put your clothes ?

It seems decent for a pre-made kit! I am looking forward to seeing the performance of this kit.
Pretty cool for a full kit. Thanks for sharing bro. Be good 💪

In my opinion, not worth the money. A almost 4 pound tent, I’d thought maybe a DCF tent. Total waste of $1100
IMO this is WAY overpriced and SO much missing for even a basic kit. RIPOFF IMO. I've seen good quality pre-made kits A LOT better for HALF the price of THIS one.
Agreed!
such as?
It seems decent enough

It would be worth it if it contained a Glock and 100 rds. of ammo.

Not to step on your toes bud, love the content. Attaching your name to this plie of $1100 junk is bad business. Just my opinion.
There are much worse companies to have my name attached to.
But if they are willing to send me something to test out and can give an honest review, why wouldn't I?
@@adaptablesurvival do you man! You definitely need to review it on an overnight, can't wait.
I’m guessing SRO hasn’t put together a kit like this due to cost however I think this kit is overpriced
