I am a employee for bellway homes and it's really good to see some home buyers having ago at doing bit to there house there self 👏👏👏
Like the time lapse to prove no dad’s were harmed in the making of this video 🤣
I think you did a brilliant job! I tiled for the first time this year helping my dad do up one of the en-suite bathrooms in my parents house and I used those tiles from wicks too! (I wanted the black grout but my mom doesn't like black grout and as it's their home I couldn't argue haha!) I found the process quite therapeutic! I found your channel from your moving process video (both myself and my partner are saving for our own house fingers crossed next year!) but i've been binge watching your channel I love how normal it all is!
Thank you so much! Good luck on the house saving 🥰 xx
Move into our own house next month and have saved this as want to re-tile the kitchen. Fingers crossed it goes well! x
I would not know where to start with this 😂
Tiles look so good 😍 We are moving in bellway Somerby house in July 🏡 Your videos are so helpful for first time buyers 👍🏼 Love your channel
Thank you! Good luck on your move! ♥️
I was literally watching your videos all day and just seen this new one! Excitement overload 😂 great job ❤️

Yous have done a great job, it makes a huge difference x
Awh thank you!! I love it 🥰
Looks amazing guys well done for doing it yourselfs. Sorry to mention it but my OCD has got the better of me. I think you've missed a bit of grout on the tiles by the kettle at the top xx
Thanks! ♥️
Well done guys this looks so good ! Have a great weekend x
awh thank you! X
I know I’m super late to this but this looks awesome! I feel like it makes your kitchen look complete. Also really like the shorts Eric was wearing on day two 😂
Ah thank you!! Haha, i’ll let him know 😂🥰

Anyone else spot the one tiny part where they missed black grout? Looks gorgeous guys!
Chloé Cordell yep!! Haha first time doing it I’m proud I only missed one bit 🙈😂😂 thank you!!🥰
@@becxupnorth Throughout I was like 'please notice, please notice!' and you were zooming in constantly it was torture! I'm currently in the process of buying a new build and your process video has helped so so much. I'm now addicted to your vlogs from that one video. X
This is lovely! Can I ask where you got your grout and adhesive? We can only find them in huge quantities 😭 only need it for a tiny wall
Thank you!
B&Q 🥰 x
Where did you get the tile cutter from?
hey also can you say where you got the mini spreader at 12:24 from? thanks
Thanks for this great video-very encouraging! Did you grout or use silicone for the tiles at the base (the ones sitting on top of the upstands)?
At the based is grout then silicone on top to ensure a seal :)
Great video, I live in a similar new build like yourself. Can I ask, with your already preinstalled grey splashback did you have to check that this was level first or did you just place tiles on top?
Yes we checked with a spirit level 🥰
hi Beca, would be great if you could link the bits you used such as the tile cutter if possible, or if you can get erics dad to send you the link of the one he got. there is a wet tile cutter mine field :')
I’ve asked him and its so old he doesn’t remember the specific brand or where its from but he said Wickes, Screwfix and B&Q all have good ones and they don’t have to be expensive to he good! Xx
what were you using to cut the tiles? looks brilliant!
A wet tile cutter!
Was the drywall painted? If so did you prep it?
It had white emulsion on it, and no, didn’t prep, just tiled straight on. I’m not a professional but nothing bad has happened so far!
How long after you moved in did you do this?
About a year
@@becxupnorth thanks! Did you have to wait that long? I'm buying a new house atm and I really want to tile the kitchen as soon as I move in! I hate naked backwalls haha
You could have avoided that terrible looking sliver of a tile at the top, You should have split the difference of 2 tiles so the top and bottom would be the same size and not noticeable by the eye,
2 years too late friend
I'm guessing you paid a professional to re-do this job 6-12 months later.
Some things just shouldn't be done DIY unless you're already in the trade.
Absolutely not, its all still perfect, we have family members in the trade too that think its great! ☺️
Then I stand corrected lol, seen soo many attempts at tiling fail disastrously. Good job ;)
