Ran a pub back in the day and it as devastating watching folks burn through their earnings every day. Around 8pm we had the school kids come by with no shoes still in their uniform asking if mum and dad are in there cause they are hungry and haven't had dinner. You realize they aren't getting dinner cause it was plugged into the pokies. I'm with you Tim, Blow em up!!!
Really? More than Waltzing Matilda? I wish people would think before they let their emotions of the moment get away with them on UA-cam. There are dozens of songs in contention for this category you just made up, dude, but here you are pronouncing in the moment without thinking. Please, think first. It's a good song by Greta, the real writer, but don't legislate universally, please.
I've never heard this pub choir version it sounds amazing. I'm not crying 🥲 His voice is amazing on it's own but it really elevated it with a crowd doing some harmony. I would love to hear him with a professional choir that would sound amazing in person.
gee that was one of the best combinations between song leader and choir .tim freedman is bloody good .and a great melody and words.he's better here ,than in the original.great sounding voice and piano
None of these soulless pubs/clubs/casinos/online betting companies can survive without gambling addiction, their business model leeches off misery and the proceeds of crime.i reckon this song has definitely saved lives.bravo tim
My dad loved the pokies..... I hated it, I told him if ya wana bet... Bet on something you see... ie the dogs or houses ... but that got worse... well he can't bet now.....

The most significant song in Aussie cultural history. IFYYK.

@@MegaGo68 It was written by Greta and Tim. Words I have heard come out of her mouth.
@@MegaGo68 Calm down, mate, talk about speaking emotionally...
It's always been a great song but just the same it's always been a sad context relative to a real problem in Australian society for many years. Bravo.
Nah the barely regulated pokies are great and have no downsides!

Fantastic!
Pretty sure that’s the late Peta Murphy MP at the 10 second mark, who was a leading advocate on pokies reform.
ironic that a pub choir would say "blow up the pokies" in Australia. Love the message of the song though.
So sad I missed this one.

🥲
audio and video is nt synced, i dont think its on purpose
This looks fkn awesome but very cultish at the same time
Gambling 🎰 destroyed my life .
This is why i don't like it when the artist becomes the center of attention and the choir becomes a background!
They can do better than that cant they ?, hmm good, but lousy at the same time
Too many women's voices spoil the sound!
