Yes. Seeing the pic of Tee Higgins walking with his arm around his mom leaving the stadium last night...my thoughts went to him and the hope he will not blame himself in anyway.
I lost 5 Sailors, Pilots, Aircrewmans, Hospital Corpsman in August 2021 out of San Diego. And let me tell you, it took us a month to kind of get back to work rhythm. Me and another guy were one of the last people to talked and helped them get dress before their flight. This stuff can traumatize Tee Higgins for the rest of his career. He's going to need a lot of mental therapy.
As a fan of the sport, my heart and prayers and hope go out to him. Every fan, regardless of the team, is praying for you. Every Dallas Cowboys fan is rooting for a quick recovery.

I watched that Denmark game live, and when I was watching MNF I immediately had flashbacks to that incident. It looked so similar with the players surrounding the Damar. I was just hoping the end result would be the same as Eriksen, who made a full recovery and is back playing, and not like the other two instances (I think one of them had brain damage, the other just never got back to playing)

As a medical professional of 15 yrs, CPR is one thing. However, once electrical shock and intubation are initiated, that elevates the seriousness 10 fold. Praying for Hamlin, his family, friends, and both teams who were there for that scary event. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Being defibrillated or intubated does not increase the seriousness 10 fold. The fact that CPR is initiated is max seriousness. That means he didn’t have a pulse or breathing. Doesn’t elevate above that. Being defibrillated means there’s a fighting chance to convert him out of his arrhythmia. You don’t shock asytole (flat line). Odd statement Carlos

Can u plz clarify what u practice and/or have 15 yrs experience in? As someone who was also previously intubated when I was put into an induced coma with CV, this doesn’t make any sense. Breathing tubes r damn near standard in the ICU to protect brain function while the body is hopefully healing. AED and “regular” CPR r one in the same. The heart has stopped. Period. Both r used to restart it, to get some type of rhythm back while continuing to manually assist in pumping blood throughout the body. The only diff is the AED increases chance of survival. It’s not less “serious” if one isn’t used. If available, it is ALWAYS used over continuous CPR. Either way, I just hope this young, top tier athlete fully recovers. I feel so much for his loved ones. 🙏🏽

I was watching the broadcast after they postponed the game. They were showing shots outside the hospital and all I could think of was this was the scene we saw when Dale Earnhardt died 22 years ago. I have a son who wants to play sports but has a heart valve issue and we won’t let him play. We showed him the play last night and used it as an example of why he can’t play contact type sports. Here’s a healthy guy, gets hit just right at the right time and it completely stopped his heart. It is amazing that the medical folks jumped into action as fast as they did. God bless them for that.

I don't watch football, I know next to nothing about the game but what I am is a human being whose heart is so very sad for Mr. Damar Hamlin and his family AND for Mr. Tee Higgins and his family and all the players and I am praying that Mr. Damar Hamlin makes a full recovery and that Mr. Tee Higgins is not taking responsibility for this and if he is having mental anguish about this that he seeks help. Many prayers for everyone with extra prayers for Mr. Damar Hamlin. Mr. Rich Eisen it was my pleasure to listen to your program.

I have been watching the NFL since 1977 when I first arrived in the USA from South Africa and fell in love with the game.

I was watching the broadcast after they postponed the game. They were showing shots outside the hospital and all I could think of was this was the scene we saw when Dale Earnhardt died 22 years ago. I have a son who wants to play sports but has a heart valve issue and we won’t let him play. We showed him the play last night and used it as an example of why he can’t play contact type sports. Here’s a healthy guy, gets hit just right at the right time and it completely stopped his heart. It is amazing that the medical folks jumped into action as fast as they did. God bless them for that.
