Hi Ian Sad to see Putsonderwater like that... My uncle, Kenny Magson, was the "stasiemeester" of the railway station in the early 80's... Used to be a very green and beautiful little station! Thank you for the chat at HondaWing, George the other day! Enjoy the rest of your trip. Johan Scheepers
Johan Scheepers Hi Johan. It certainly had spirit and someone is at least trying to make the one house habitable. It looks close to being ready to move in. The railway line looks very disused however. There is a farmhouse 2km away so people are nearby.
Great ride guys, my brother lives in Upington but I'm here in Mindanao Philippines as you can see...I hope to be back SA with Angel in a few months... definitely wants a bike!!
Hi Johan, unfortunately I do not have any GPS tracks of any of the trips we have done, infact, you are the first person to ask about them, so I must look into saving them in the future. If you are interested in more detailed rides then log onto Wilddogs.za.net - the best Adventure MC forum in SA. Cheers Ian
@@ianlevy8765 thanks. Asking because hopefully in the next couple of years I'll be able to do similar trip. Born in SA but stayed a few years in SWA as a child and would love to take the back roads like you did and visit a few places we learned about in school and read about in stories and got mentioned in Spies en Plessis. Will deffo register with that forum. If you ever planning a trip to Scotland let me know I'll show you some interesting roads. Just a bit cooler than this trip.
