    Again William, I caution you not to fixate on the chlorine. Testing the levels in the pool will get you nowhere. There is no such thing as chlorine poisoning. Your blood chloride levels could be raised due to dehydration, brought on by nausea and vomiting. But that is a symptom, not a disease.
    You could, however have inhaled black mold. You could also have Legionnaire's disease, which can be contracted through moldy ventilation.
    To me, you have an infection. The rigors (shaking) you had are a symptom of an infection. It could be the mold, legionnaire's disease, dengue, chikungunya, etc as I mentioned before. I strongly suggest you get tested for these diseases.

    • @visulino
      @visulino Рік тому +15

      Legionnaires' disease is a good idea, William has many of the symptoms, including confusion, but again, that's a fixation with ACs and pipes, but I haven't heard of that in Mexico. Here in NYC, we have had that in hospitals, hotels, and some cruise ships go out of service for Legionnaires disease. People can die from Legionnaires' disease but since William is young and strong he has managed to survive, But again, why not all other people are sick of Legionnaires' disease? Because that would get all people in those buildings sick, and they would close the whole condominium. His mom didn't get sick. Why only William.

      I used to carry out risk assessments in buildings for Legionnaires Disease.
      The set-up he describes in his shower could potentially have caused an aerosol and he’s inhaled the bacteria. All his symptoms align with the disease.
      He needs to get tested for this.

      hack Mexican drs...charged him a lot of money to feed him a line of BS of chlorine poisoning. That Dr uses that diagnosis because he knows the tap and pools have a lot of Chlorine.

    I just tested positive for mycotoxins from mold and it’s no joke. It’s pure hell. Crosses the blood brain barrier and can be life threatening. You need to see a naturopathic doctor and get a mycotoxin urine test. If your levels are elevated you need to be on binders and other medications to detox it from your body. I know what you’re going through and you really feel like you are dying.
    I wish you healing. Must stay positive,

    Will I too lived in Playa back in 2003 and mysteriously became ill. The Doctor told me that there are off the chart tropical illnesses that effect most foreigners who are new to the Mexican Caribbean. We have to adapt to the bacteria down there. And I too became delirious as the spring heat intensified my sickness. So once I returned home to California, all of my symptoms subsided completely. My exam from a top tier hospital came up with nothing too? I still return to Playa however and I've found that I'm less susceptible to illnesses during the cooler rain season months down there.

There are parasites, viruses, bacteria, disease carrying and poisonous insects, snakes, poor handling of pesticides or pool maintenance, hygiene (think of what he saw in other countries!) bad hospitals, scams, etc etc all over the world. We are amazed this is his first encounter, he has been very lucky travelling so many countries. We hope you are ont the mend now William 💕🍀💪💐

    Hello William, I’m not saying this is what you have but it might be worth testing for it:
    Legionnaires' disease is a type of pneumonia caused by legionella bacteria.
    Legionnaires' disease doesn't spread from person to person. Instead, the bacteria spreads through mist, such as from air-conditioning units for large buildings.

    • @VoiceOfThe
      @VoiceOfThe Рік тому +3

      You can also contract the disease from cooling towers and showers not used and disinfected regularly. The set-up in the shower with the air blowing through the shaft would further increase the risk of creating an aerosol / mist and it’s quite plausible he’s inhaled the bacteria from this.
      All his symptoms align with a correct prognosis. He really should test for this, but, is not even considering it.

    • @gregs8685
      @gregs8685 Рік тому

      This building does not use water cooled a/c and/or have a cooling tower. They are refrigerant based ductless splits which cannot spread legionnaires disease.

  • @negative74
    @negative74 Рік тому +11

    This reminds me of a vid I saw about Legionnaires' disease. Seemingly innocuous situations can be incredibly dangerous. Especially if most ppl don't stay long term it might not be long enough for them to notice. I hope you get better very soon. 😔

    Lots of people here cheering you on and waiting for your next update with bated breath. Hopefully you’ll get your lungs X-rayed soon because it sounds like fluid is starting to settle on your lungs, which obviously can get serious if not treated with antibiotics. My breathing sounded the same when I had pneumonia several times. I assume it may take a while to get your strength up again but I see a full recovery in your future. 😊

    I got very sick in Playa del Carmen. I visited a consultorio doctor adjacent to a farmacia for I think 100 pesos as soon as I started feeling sick. I had blood drawn directly at a laboratorio and sent off for a range of tests for I think around US$40. Antibiotics and other medicine was US$35. My wife had surgery at one of the best new hospitals in Guadalajara for US$2300 including hospital stay. You definitely got tourist scammed. Another reason I avoid foreign tourist beach towns in Mexico. The central interior is so much nicer and friendlier.

    William, you can't get decent medical care in Cancun or Playa del Carmen (rip off and incompetent, even the locals know it.) My advice is to go to Merida and go straight to the emergency of The Hospital of the Americas. Bending forward to get easier breathing might indicate a pneumothorax (water on the lungs.) This would also be consistent with persistent tiredness. It looks to me like you have or had a severe respiratory infection. Even if you feel better, see an MD (lots of good ones in Merida) to keep it from recurring. I hate to see my favourite Suede after Ingmar Bergman suffering so much. Stay well.

    • @robfairbrother3014
      @robfairbrother3014 Рік тому +4

      I second this regarding Merida. Several high class hospitals in that city including the CMA mentioned. If one has to be sick in Mexico, Merida is one of the centre’s to be. You can get an ADO to the hotel Fiesta Americana and it’s a short taxi or Uber ride to that hospital. Or you can get dropped off in the north of the city and go to Star Medica. More expensive, I believe but nowhere near what you were charged for the blood test in Playa. That was ridiculous. Don’t ignore this. You could also have gotten Dengue. Very common in the Yucatan peninsula. Each reinfection get’s worse until you begin to hemorrhage from the inside which can be fatal. Dengue is also known as break-bone disease because you shake so violently you think your bones are going to break. If it is Dengue, Merida is where you need to be. I believe there is a hospital right across the street from the Centenario zoo in centro that specializes in Dengue. Legionnaires is another possibility. But you need to get tested.

      @@andreao305 Good for you then. However, it depends on the color of your skin. You look like a local. Of course they are gonna take good care of you. However, white skinned ppl are constantly ripped off in Mexico. When they don't wanna pay that much, they get treated like trash. My brother goes to Cozumel 2x a yr. for years now and he had to take his buddy to the hospital. The only thing the Dr. actually did, was to tell him to smoke a joint. That it would cure him. He had alcohol poisoning and almost died. My brother took him from that hospital and straight to the airport, flew back to Oklahoma and went to the ER immediately. He was better in a few hours. WHY couldn't Mexico do that?

    Although I think it best to consider many possible explanations for your illness, William, from the chlorine levels to a parasite or dengue fever or the water quality, I do think you are probably on the right track about mold. My personal anecdotal experiences with mold is living in a basement apartment, noticing that my daughter often began coughing as she went to sleep, but I found she would always stop coughing immediately when I'd open the window beside her bed. It turned out that, because our basement suite was at least two feet below grade of all the surrounding yard, moisture was wicking up through the cement floor, causing the underlay and carpet to be wet and moldy. We tore out the landlord's carpet, got area rugs, and the problem was solved. Another experience I have is that a roofer, we were working next door to a man who complained that he had poorly functioning gutters. He wanted us to repair them. And he wondered if we did vinyl siding, because he thought there was black mold growing on his basement walls. His wife was always sick, he said. (She was in the home all day. He was usually out at work as a landscaper.) She got sicker and died that summer. Contrary to intuition, mold symptoms are not simply respiratory. I think that all of your symptoms can be explained by mold. You might like to watch this 16-minute Doctor on a UA-cam video. He explains all the many symptoms associated with mold.
    ua-cam.com/video/fOYMzYpC36E/v-deo.html This is really harsh, and I concur with everyone else who advises you to go home to get well. Home is where the spirit and mind can find rest and recovery and both spirit and mind are intricately connected with physical health. Mind and body are NOT separate. By the way, what makes you think all of we loyal fans would not be just as happy to watch you at home in Sweden as gallivanting around the globe. We're not coming back for years simply for travel tales. We're coming back to see you, our friend. Watching William Taudien fills a huge void in our lonely lives.

      @seanfitzpatrick8385 Рік тому

      NAC seems the best it boosts our bodies natural production of glutathione which breaks down the Graph.. oxide, but also depletes it from our body. Oral glutathione our bodies do not process very well I remember Richard Delgado explaining I believe we only process about 20% of what we ingest. Maybe a mix of both, but NAC for sure! My body was magnetic(non jabbed) we all are I took NAC for a week and I am no longer magnetic, but forks, spoons, magnets, cell phone all stuck to me! I have tested 80 ppl personally all are magnetic regardless of jab the chest, back and shoulder's are common areas, stomach, head and groin on some the neck/spine is on just about everyone! Some are only 1 or 2 spots some people all over jabbed very much so, but the G Oxide is in everything today food, water, air, clothes, tech, fuel, meds, vitamins, jabs etc.

    I live in the same building and I think the chlorine in the pool was the source of the high chlorine level in his blood tests. He and I discussed this. They put a shitload of chlorine in that pool, because there are a bunch of kids here in the high season. The pool water often feels slippery, and that is a classic indication of high chlorine levels. William would sit in the pool for an extended time every day, while I would just dive in for a minutes to cool off. Still, I started inexplicably to get vertigo in late January or early February. After he told me about his blood tests, I started to take a shower after immediately jumping in the pool, to wash the pool water off, and still do that every time I go in the pool. And a few weeks after starting that, the vertigo went away. I do not have a mold issue in my Unit.

I don't understand why there's no fan to suck air out or sometimes there's a shaft like that. You can always light a match and do a smoke test, to see if it's sucking the smoke out of that room or if it's blown in. That Ac there system it doesn't matter how dirty Ac is the outside, but the inside part of the Ac has a filter that has to be cleaned. Most of the time is not maintained properly. Unfortunately for people that go on vacation stay a week. don't stay inside the room too long. You never know what's inside those ducts.

    Hi William, I pray you get well soon. I’ve read that chlorine poisoning is a serious, life-threatening illness, so make sure to take good care of yourself during this time! Perhaps it’s best if you return home to get comfortable care and enjoy some luxuries you’ve been missing?
    Just know you’re not alone in your pain, as it seems everyone else is suffering or struggling with something nowadays. 😢😡 So scary are these times! 😰
    Stay strong 💪🏻 and I’ll be waiting for your return and positive presence in your videos! ❤

    Test the tap water for chlorine. If the tap water is high in chlorine and you’re boiling it, depending on the boiling point of chlorine, you are either chlorinating the air in your apartment or elevating the chlorine level in your cooling water by evaporating some of the water. Neither would be good. During your previous stay in Playa del Carmen, your apartment might have had a water filtration system (many do) and that would have made a difference.
    The bathroom shaft may have been allowing vehicle exhaust fumes from the garage into your apartment and compounding your health problems.

    You should get tested for Legionnaires Disease. It’s can be coming in dirty ventilation systems in hotels commercial buildings. You seem to have some of the symptoms.
    Symptoms:
    Fever and chills
    Muscle pains
    Headache and leading to pneumonia diarrhea mental confusion.

    Hope you get better soon. A couple of notes. The ac condensing units on the roof would not be an issue. They are only connected to the indoor air handler with two refrigerant pipes. The window in the shower is odd maybe that pipe chase doubles as an exhaust shaft. You open the window when you are showering and need exhaust. Regardless you can just seal off the window with caulk. But if that shaft is indeed an exhaust shaft under negative pressure, it’s unlikely any mold would get into your bathroom. I would get back to Sweden ASAP and see a real doctor.

    if its not the mold, it could also be from being Vaxxed? But I suspect its mold.. I have suffered from mold myself, and had terrible headaches being in a room with it.. we had to keep the room closed and I never stayed in the room for more than a few minutes.. our neighbors also suffered from it as well, while living near Rosarito MX

    William that is so horrible that you’re going though this!! That mold is HORRIBLE! As for the air going into the room is also the fumes from the cara in the basement 😩
    And aren’t you on a lease for that apartment? Will you be notifying the owner about what you’re going thru? Hopefully he doesn’t keep all that money and he reimburses you.
    Honestly William we think you should go home with your mom to get better care and to fully recover. We will understand why you don’t make videos. Your health is NUMERO UNO!! As per what I said in first sick video, Legionnaires disease sick building syndrome. Playa del Carmen is so much on a boom condo thing on several different levels of development in the last 20 years. That condo complex was never developed for long-term living. You are probably working out, in buildings that are totally sick, built in 2005 and beyond. Playa del Carmen proper centro many sick buildings.
