You're insane, the attention to detail is amazing! Now do the rest of the film! Joking aside this was so well done! It almost feels wrong without the shake of film. I will say, there is a lot of popping sounds in the audio, not sure what that might be but oh well. Saying that, I've never heard the 2008 rendition of the main title! It's THE closest version I've heard to the original! Are there more recordings available from that session?

The shake correction was a point of questioning for me, I ultimately decided to correct it because it's prominent (even Toho tried their best to stabilize it for their 4K release which causes text deformation) especially when we compare "Godzilla" credits with "Seven Samurai" (filmed the same year) whose film copy is cleaner and very stable . This was my goal for this restoration of the Godzilla main titles, to get as close as possible to the quality of what the master copy of the film should have been. Regarding the 2008 music, it was played during the 2nd Akira Ifukube Music Festival and yes more of the soundtrack was played not only the titles. This video is the result of my own restoration, so don't expect the same thing on the 4K disc. That said, Toho gave the film a new of life and it really needed it because the previous copies were not of very good quality. The 4K restoration did the film a world of good. My biggest regret is that if they had kept the original master copy of the film the image quality would have been even better
