It's a shame the Netflix series focused so much on the negative aspects of Joe.
He has a very innocent soul and he means well.
Aside from all the criminal allegations these guys gave my sons and I great memories. Spent all day at the zoo not once were we ever put in an unsafe situation. There was always two or three handlers around. They taught my boys about each animal and the upkeep. So if any staff is reading, Thank you for adding to some of our best memories.

Joe Exotic, like most people, is a product of his circumstances. In spite of that and all of his shortcomings aside, what he accomplished is truly amazing.

What a great video. Joe is really an awesome guy. He was meant to care for animals etc. So motivated no matter how bad or good things were going he stayed faithful to his animals and his crew. I'm glad he admitted his helpers don't get paid at times during the winter months. Obviously, he treated his animals with love, respect and faith to me that's what helped keep his crew from not leaving. They saw the love and I believe that's what kept lot of his workers from leaving, was the animals. Happy animals happy workers. imo.

Joe will always have a special place in my heart. For some reason, although I have never met him, I feel like I know him very well. I feel like I have experienced his life from the perspective of a friend or family member. I was born in 1997... and by saying this I am not trying to be insensitive... but I truly feel as if Garold's soul has found comfort within me. I really hope to meet Joe some day because I just know him and I will have some kind of a magical connection that only we will understand. I truly feel that once we get to look into each other's eyes, we will instantly feel comfort and familiarity within one another. I truly wish Joe the best and I pray for him every night. I see such a different side to you in this video Joe. What was shown in the show was very different, your only downfall was the way you showed how much you hated carol Baskin. She got to you. If only you could have just refrained from that, I know it would have been hard to do, you might not be in this situation. Your love and care for animals and people is immense. You helped so many people who needed it, you are right when you say you were not only looking after animals but you were also a drug counsellor you helped those with disabilities and end of life wishes. I wish you all the best joe. I hope everything that meant something to you that was left at the property like photos etc were given back to you and not destroyed. If Carole baskin was human she would at least have done that. I doubt it though. When you get out, go to your brothers Grave first thing because it is obvious you need to grieve. I loved going to the Zoo, I'm so glad I went when I did and got to meet Joe and shake his hand. The fact that Joe knew who I was standing in front of him after the Ohio fight turned me into a giddy fan girl and I totally forgot to ask for a picture with him as I was just so excited to shake his hand and speak to him in person. Playing with that cub was amazing and an experience my children will never forget.
