This is, quite literally, the most realistic, straightforward review I've ever seen. Thank you!

Thorough review, but my experience with the same wallet has been very different. I carry 8 or so bills quartered and they hold perfectly and are easy to access. I carry 4-5 cards and have never had them fall out. You appear to carry way more cards and I wonder if you reduced the number and therefore the leather stretched out. Anyhow, thorough review.

The Mississippi mud I selected is more dark brown while that looks black. Is that the Mississippi mud black edition by chance?

is there a way to tighten the strap back up when carrying less cards?

For me it is a minimalist card holder designed to do away with bulky bifold/trifold wallets.
Cash maybe 1 big bill or two less big bills like a 20 and a 5.

Good review and fair points. I have owned my Element for a couple of years now. It has never popped open on me. I'm the guy this guy this wallet was made for. I rarely carry cash, maybe 2 $20 bills. I carry 10 cards comfortably. I have the Contour and had the Axis. I usually end up carrying this one a couple months a year and see myself having it forever. Great wallet for me, just have to be the person that this was designed for!

I have the Axis and it's great. You just have to keep a fixed number of items in the wallet so the strap is tight at all times. I also think you should just fold your money once but on the axis that's all I have to do.

Very true and frank review. I have an element and ascent. I just carry them for the coolness factor.

Damn i almost was sucked in myself... I think just no one wants to look like an idiot for spending that much on something like that haha plus no one wants to talk bad about there own stuff. So thank you sir haha i also like to keep a little cash and random shit too so ill probably just stick with what i have

Nice review but just wondering why not just carry your cash in your pocket on those occasions when you'll be using alot of it rather than change out the wallet for the day. This is something I've wondered about while researching these minimalist wallets so I get where you're coming from but I've kept cash in pocket even with a regular bifold if I know I'm going to keep paying with cash (State Fair or whatever). But normally I do just use a card so I thought these would be pretty cool.

Ree B yeah it is cool in general I like it. I always have my phone in one pocket and keys on another, which is why I don’t like carrying cash in the pockets. I feel like I’m always going to pull out or lose the cash when I remove the phone or keys.

Your originally looking for a different style wallet

This wallet is not made for people who want to stuff all the cards they own and every bill they have in it. Those folks (and maybe you) would be better served using a standard bifold or trifold wallet. This is intended for guys who only want to carry a few cards and maybe a couple bills. Its designed to be small and comfortable for front pocket carry. Ive seen guys stretch these out enough that there is no advantage to having this style wallet over the old George Costanza cinder block wallet. You are definitley carrying enough that you should probably stick with the old school.

but it's not that small anyway... seems for what you're describing the Ascent is a better choice. The Contour is way better (but much more expensive).... I think the biggest selling point for this one is if you like the way it looks. Otherwise, the others I mentioned, or the non-leather OG 2.0 or Armored Summit, make the most sense. For minimal cash carry and utmost convenience, I like the OG 2.0.

I love Trayvax but.... this wallet looks SO COOL but is the one that seems least usable of any. I never had it pop open -- which would be a deal breaker -- but then again, never really carried it that much. Again I love the way it looks. I like other Trayvax models for practical purposes. I also recomment the Dango tether -- that's really helpful for Dango and Trayvax wallets, both. I suppose I should still put one through its paces before I know for sure how much I agree or disagree with this review but.... I really think it seems like it's spot on.

B-RJ Damn, looks like I’m changing mine to tobacco. I like the dark brown Mississippi mud as it comes but this one is a bit darker than I like.

Horrible review. Not fair at all. Firstly $70 is not expensive at all. Have had zero issues with cash in this wallet. So I am thinking user error. Clearly not for you, Which makes me feel better about owing it.

Thanks. Own a Trayvax Element Black black leather since 2019 never had a problem. Just got a Trayvax Ascent Raw tobacco brown these are not over priced. Ten cards in the Element 5 bills I hardly use cash. The Ascent 2 cards in front 5 cards in the back 3 bills. If you follow the instructions that the wallets come with they are perfect wallets. Apparently this video shows "user error".
